My K5 front camera/DVR unit died after torrential rain on a UK motorway even though IP67 rated. The rubber cover over the card and USB slot on the N1 looks like a INNOVV improvement for future models exposed to the elements. Shame their response to my issue was unsatisfactory as Chigee and many others are now in direct competition.
I don’t know when you filmed this but I just looked on the Innov site (15/08/24) and the price for the N1 Pro is now a whopping £374.95 discounted to £349.95. I preferred the price in your video of £305 along with your -10% discount would be £274.50
This was looking good to me, better price-wise and a bigger screen than the Chigee - until the bit about no phone app. Having to take the sd card out for updates and getting footage would be a total faff, kinda backwards technology considering all the connectivity it has 🙄
I bought a Chigee, mainly because of the hype from all the reviewers. It's reality not a replacement for a sat nav. The limitations are in the CarPlay features. Not all the information and features are carried across to the app on Carplay. It's a 'slimmed' down version, so on Myroute app the distance to the next waypoint isn't shown neither is the waypoint info when you get there. It doesn't show the road ahead too much, just a small section of road immediately ahead. On a Garmin when it auto zooms out you get a sense of the upcoming road and bends etc, not on the CarPlay version of Myroute Nav. I'm very disappointed as reviewers just gave the review of the unit, but not using the unit to do stuff like navigate with it. I would advise people to hold onto their cash as apple CarPlay is not good for planned routes with waypoints cafe stops etc, but may be more than adequate for a 'Get You There only' route.
Thanks for posting. I used the Chigee recently on a trip to visit the Normandy Landing Beaches in France and it never let me down. Worked out the routes on my Scenic app on my phone, sent the route to the group and then followed the set route via CarPlay on the Chigee, worked great. Ride safe
I got one for my bmw xr as well, love it, i normally have my phone attached for nav in the bmw mount, but always a bit weary of it getting wet in bad weather, so chigee is a great replacement, keeping phone safe, if not as big a screen. Innov great for them to join this carplay rollout, if only a little late, i would have chosen them over chigee, but 🤔 no bmw direct connectivity which was a big plus for me.
@@arabianjules When you plan a route, what do you do so that the waypoints, ie cafes, viewpoints etc show up on the carPlay screen? Myroute App has it on the phone, but not the chigee(unless you can tell me how you do it) and Tom Tom doesn't support waypoints or points of interest at all. It may be great for just putting in 'York" and getting you there but as a planned route... not so good.
Great video . Im looking for a new system to replace my wunderlinq as its giving up the ghost (no bluetooth) i think the chigee as the egde over the innovv
I haven't tried that but would suspect that you should be able to have a friend jump on your bike and they would just connect to it if they have done it previously
I'm looking at the index point labelled as "the display and all that it does"...and it looks like you've run a belt sander over it. So many scratches on the screen - is that the actual screen, or a screen protector? I have to say, as much as I'd like to buy an all in one system like this from Innovv, Chigee has changed the game. I'll need Innovv to make this work in the BMW cradle, and have it be controlled by the multi function wheel. The day they release that, I'll buy it.
Update ...what a silly chap I am...it looked like it was well and truly stuck on the screen, but after I had completed part 2 I decided to peel it off and clearly it is only an in transit cheap plastic screen protector, revealing a very nice glossy screen underneath. Oops!!!!!
@@gsd32i I was hoping to hear that! I really hope they come out with a Chigee-like integration for BMW's. And totally agree about 6" being the sweet spot!
Hello, I wonder why they don't include 2k cameras in this set, which they offer with (K7)? In my opinion, these 1080p cameras are already obsolete. My suggestion is shared by many of my friends who would like to buy it, but... The Chinese already have good products on Aliexpress with 4k, maybe I will buy it to test and share my opinion. Does INNOVV make its products in Europe or is it in cooperation with the Chinese?
Hi, I believe they area Chinese company , TBH I would never use the cameras for UA-cam travel videos, I would just use them for evidence . 2k would be better in this day and age.
I have two questions- how did you remove this factory screen protector and how did you pair cardo with innov ? I do not have cardo but other brand and no idea how to pair as innovv not showing on the screen near devices.
My best guess, as I have tracked numerous items sent to me from China, would be 10 days. Like all these things, if unlucky, you may get hit with VAT if it doesn't slip through the net.
Do the mirror image for the rear camera only flip what is viewed live while keeping the recorded video normal? Or does it flip both? You only showed the live view. You didn't display or talk about the recorded view.
It’s a shame the N1 pro only have 2 1080p cameras while they have 2K and 4K cameras on their other products. For a “pro” device I would assume they should at least have the 2K cameras
Again another company that thinks it's great to put the card in the bottom with a screwed on cover, nobody but no body is going to use wifi to download a full card, access to the card should be easy-peasey. I prefer the 7" screens but I find most of these things are OK using small gloves like yours but when the temp drops and the bigger Winter gloves go on they are pretty useless with the finger ends covering two buttons at a time it's pot luck as to whether the one you want responds; especially if the road surface is less than even.

Based on your impression on your previous video it's still the Chigee for me
I’ll watch this in full later but looking good 😎
You'll need a big bottle of beer then 😂
When they release the version that connects to the BMW like chigee does, then I'll have a closer look at this.

Try a Navfly just like these exspensive camera system for a fraction of price , good quality and work very good iOS or hemaroid 👍🤣
Regarding the Arc Bracket - any chance you could give me the dimensions of the 4 screw holes (for a different application I have in mind)...
Let me know what dimensions you want 👍
No showing of the video quality. I'm curious about video quality.
have a look at part 2, about 13 minutes in. 👍
Can you connect multiple devices at different intervals of time so different riders can ride or does it only connect to one

Hi Roger, it’s a screen protector . Aesthetically not a great look when screen is off but no issue when on . 👍

Wanted to confirm, you don’t have to pair your Cardo to it? Works just the chigee? I have the innovv blind spot monitor, performs perfectly.
correct

I just removed it carefully . you simply pair your headset to your mobile phone and then pair your phone to the innovv.
Hi..Is the innov compatible with the Bmw 1250gsa 2023 navigation system?
Not sure what you mean.,...but its a stand alone nav system operating via your iPhone
Hi.. which is better Innov N1 pro or Chigee AIO5 Lite for bmw r1250 gs
Hi, I would go with the Chigee....but they are also bringing out a bigger 6" version soon.

If rear view mirror is selected to flip the image then the recorded image is flipped to.

Like an idiot I didn't realise that it had a temporary screen protector fitted, which should have been removed. Nice clear screen once it's removed!!
