    That little tantrum he threw the second that she noted that there was no sign of blood or actual physical injury to his finger was glorious! I have see 4 year olds not get that theatrical when told no. Plus the fact that she basically told him then that his delay tactics were never going to be allowed in her court was a sweet moment also. This judge really rocks.

      Agree - she's fantastic! Allowing him just enough latitude to paint himself into a corner from which he cannot escape while also ensuring the proceedings are not stalled any more than absolutely necessary, and giving him very little room for appeal later on, if any at all.

      In his own words, this is a public trial. His face should be shown as well as the victims who will be testifying. His mask should be removed. If he has "covid" let him be in a seperate room until he tests negative.

    This guy knows exactly what he is doing even down to changing his appearance by cutting his hair off, shaving and wearing a mask….he will challenge anybody who identifies him as the driver. Simplistic and easy to see through but he has worked out exactly what he will do throughout this trial.     At first I understood why the judge was giving him leniency, allowing him to be disrespectful. She didn't want to give him any reason to be able to call a mistrial. But I feel that monster got away with way to much disrespect. His mom is claiming he is bipolar I do not believe that. I believe he is a spoiled man child who believes he is better than everyone else because his mother raised him that way. He is everything wrong with this world. A narcissist 100%.

      Dorow was thorough with his mental health assessments in the sentencing. She gave a lot of diligence to make sure the trial was completed with every opportunity for fairness.

      It's the opposite. The state wanted secrecy; Brooks wanted publicity. The judge apparently wanted publicity - to prevent an issue for appeal - so she decided to "side with" Brooks, because his inarticulate position agreed with what she had in mind in the first place.

Funny how he could hear her the entire time she was saying her determination is he would not need medical attention.     I’ve been watching the trial and happy he was found guilty but was mostly upset the entire trial, For the first time I’ll admit I cried, not for him, the families that now have some peace but have to begin healing 😢 that’s the hard part and because of this monster it made it harder, but One of the victims is back up and dancing! You go baby girl so proud of her ❤

    This is a prime example of somebody who thinks that the world owes him something, that he is above the law, that he can manipulate and fast talk his way out of any situation, and I truly believe that by his behavior and his actions that this is the very first time in his life that he is being held accountable for decisions he has made, he deserves everything he gets!

      @@DrivenA111 and she’s doing it quite well. At a time when many public servants don’t. It is refreshing to see a judge and prosecution team handle a very delicate and potential volatile legal situation at trial professionally , appropriately and with grace.
      The job that includes a responsibility to the community and victims as well. Many victims. Victims that have as many rights as this defendant.
      A very injured community. So many times people rush to complain when a public servant is out of place. But rarely speak up when they are handling a difficult situation with such professionalism .
      Especially with a defendant like this one. Whose behavior, btw, stands out like no other seen in this nation. At least not that I have seen. Behavior with potential to cause an expensive mistrial if not handled carefully and mindfully based on precedence, established state laws.
      Collectively speaking, I must concur with the original comment. Must respect to this judge for her patience and oversight in this most difficult situation.
      This judge shows amazing grace, dignity, professionalism, #UnderFire.

If he had compassion he wouldn't put the victims through this, but then he wouldn't have drove his SUZ into the crowd in the first place.

    He said he couldn’t hear her and tried to act like it, but as soon as she said (at the same voice level) that he was being muted again, he started reacting, showing he could hear the entire time. He also threw another tantrum when she said there was no blood on his finger, also at the same voice level, so I’d imagine that can be used as proof for any appeal attempts.

      @@areality40 I noticed that, too, sometimes in the same sentence. He was continuously saying "I don't understand", and then saying "You don't have to explain anything to me". He truly was like a 3 or 4 year old mentally at times, and then very clever in his manipulation. The worst for me was during the initial interrogation with the detectives, when they told him that some people were badly hurt, and he said "Like my arm", and then laughed and said "Oh, I was just making a joke". There was something very evil in that laugh.

    One of the things I appreciate going back and watching these early videos is that all of his lies and nonsense and attempted obstruction failed. The jury did the right thing and he was held accountable.

      Every victim that had to testify, for the prosecution and for DB, helped convict him! I feel so bad that they had to testify but it actually helped put DB away forever! Every single person, even the ones that DB called were amazing and they should feel proud of how strong they are!

    This is such a joke and a waste of the jury’s time and the courts time. This judge is doing an amazing job being professional, I can only imagine how the judge feels, the jury and the baliffs. He clearly wants attention otherwise why not ask for legal representation. This could go so much smoother and simpler if he wasn’t so difficult…..

    It's a MIRACLE!!! He HEARD ever word she said about his boo boo!! But THEN he acted like a two year old and pouted when he didn't get the attention he wanted!! It does seem Tiny Tot has selective hearing!! He's a creepy creeper!! I've had to pray a LOT during this trial !! Truly pray!

      So it can be on record. He can’t appeal - can’t say he wasn’t treated fairly , can’t say they took away his rights. Everything is on record to avoid appealing or mistrial . He’s trying real hard to have that

    He said it couldn’t hear but when the judge said that is was the final time to say why he objects to jury instructions in a low voice he said “I wasn’t able to make any changes” which CLEARLY shows he can hear after that he went on to his normal I can’t hear antics

    They wasted too much time bending backwards with this dude, the justice system needs to be able to remove the right to defend yourself if you are continually disruptive or refuse to engage.
