I'm willing to bet he got his ass beat so many times early on because of that mouth that he started picking and choosing his battles a lot more carefully with anyone that wasn't a kid or woman. I did some research out of curiosity and apparently he's checked into the hole so many times in prison that he can no longer check in unless a guard actually sees his life is in danger because he's been jumped and beaten up so many times lol.

I agree. Erika Patterson was a young 15yr old girl who probably like most teens look to be love and accepted. He had physical, mentally & emotionally beat her down. Domestic violence is so very hard to get through some people are stronger than others. I also believe he verbally and emotionally does rhis to his mother as well just by what she said in one interview and by how he speaks about her in trial. She has done him a disservice allowing him to act and treat people this way and not calling him out on his behaviors over the years. He uses his mom for bail money he uses his mom for money on his books and she puts money on her phone just so he can call and blame everyone else about his behavior.

@barrismith5265 let's see they did respect him he choose to disrespect them. He choose to to represent himself and that is the person that is talking. Not the dependent even though they are the same person. But when he is asking questions and making statements he has the lawyer hat on. Trust me I seen a lot of lawyers being put in their place trying to challenge the judge and the law. He has an attitude about the evidence that he open up to be brought to the light. They have stopped him over and over again to keep him from walking into that can of worms. Instead of him listening to them and change his question he decided to ask it anyways. Asking a question that will bring evidence in that will hurt him after the judge denied it at the beginning of the trial is his own fault. He keeps Stating questions in the wrong way. A witness does not submit the evidence as an exhibit in court. The prosecutors does and the defense team. So he's getting an attitude while the judge is trying to explain to him the words he is using can not be use for this witness. That witness legally cannot answer that question are he will be lying under oath. She told him to ask when was it the first time he seen the video. So where was it that he was not being treated fairly. They helped him get supeons out to his witnesses. They held his hand threw it all. In the State of Wisconsin when a defendent wants to represent himself legally they are not allow to be helped. See in my state they will assign you a real lawyer to be your 2nd seat. To help you through it all.

That's mind-boggling. And the fact that the other attorney finally called her out on that is excellent! All I hate in that is that she ended up apologizing for what she should have done from day one. However, in this situation she’s probably letting him do whatever because it’s obvious he’s going to loss this case. That’s why he was getting laughed at in the beginning of the video. If she reprimanded him, once the trail is over he could try and say “she was unfair” and request an appeal. Why reprimand him, when everyone in the court room knows he’s gonna lose the case? Also, I think she did great and provided him a more than fair trail. I was definitely thinking the same thing tho but I read a few other comments and now I think she was very well respected in her court room.

The Prosecution set a trap for Darrell by showing a photo of his back from the music video knowing that he'd demand to know how the Detective knew that it was him. As IF he had an Attorney, his Attorney would stipulate to that being Brooks in the video because an Attorney would know that not admitting that that was Brooks in the video would open the door to allow the Jury to watch the entire video. So not only did Darrell Brooks dumb ass take the bait, he swallowed the bait, hook line and sinker! Bravo, Prosecution!!!
