      I agree. Erika Patterson was a young 15yr old girl who probably like most teens look to be love and accepted. He had physical, mentally & emotionally beat her down. Domestic violence is so very hard to get through some people are stronger than others. I also believe he verbally and emotionally does rhis to his mother as well just by what she said in one interview and by how he speaks about her in trial. She has done him a disservice allowing him to act and treat people this way and not calling him out on his behaviors over the years. He uses his mom for bail money he uses his mom for money on his books and she puts money on her phone just so he can call and blame everyone else about his behavior.

      @Barri Smith his questions are countered with arguments that are based in legitimate legal arguments. It is unreasonable for Darrell to assume that the judge should find his objections appropriate, when his reasons are incorrectly applied, or support him when he is representing himself. He is acting like a brat with no self awareness for the situation he is in.

    • @rasheedapennybaker
      @rasheedapennybaker Рік тому +3

      @barrismith5265 let's see they did respect him he choose to disrespect them. He choose to to represent himself and that is the person that is talking. Not the dependent even though they are the same person. But when he is asking questions and making statements he has the lawyer hat on. Trust me I seen a lot of lawyers being put in their place trying to challenge the judge and the law. He has an attitude about the evidence that he open up to be brought to the light. They have stopped him over and over again to keep him from walking into that can of worms. Instead of him listening to them and change his question he decided to ask it anyways. Asking a question that will bring evidence in that will hurt him after the judge denied it at the beginning of the trial is his own fault. He keeps Stating questions in the wrong way. A witness does not submit the evidence as an exhibit in court. The prosecutors does and the defense team. So he's getting an attitude while the judge is trying to explain to him the words he is using can not be use for this witness. That witness legally cannot answer that question are he will be lying under oath. She told him to ask when was it the first time he seen the video. So where was it that he was not being treated fairly. They helped him get supeons out to his witnesses. They held his hand threw it all. In the State of Wisconsin when a defendent wants to represent himself legally they are not allow to be helped. See in my state they will assign you a real lawyer to be your 2nd seat. To help you through it all.

      @@Usernamenotavailable. Well, he has actually done a good job at inserting the word "misrepresented". It is an actual technical term that refers to the fact that he has not had a proper legal representation throughout the trial. Even if he voluntarily refused, another lawyer may later actually appeal to the fact that when the defendant waived his right to be represented by a lawyer he actually was mentally incapable to decide therefore he can argument that this was a mistrial. That is what this fine member of society has tried very hard to do; convince everyone of his mental impairment to make decisions. Let's see how this all goes down

    So frequently, people unfamiliar with high profile criminal trials and/or law in general, tell us, "I would never put up with that! That judge is a fool! A pushover! "I would..." -- and they go on about how THEY would stop him and his nonsense
    Judge Dorow is stepping very carefully, and her continued calm is incredible. -and crucially needed in a case such as this.
    Her strategy is to get this efficiently d-o-n-e, and she acts on it impeccably. She is doing everything to ensure that there will be no unexpected detail or technicality which Brooks (and his illustrious team) can use as a motive to call a mistrial, or even sway the jury to side with him, or be inclined to decide “not guilty” (unlikely, though not unknown).Might racism even be broached? Sure, we have seen that game played by people who should know better. She is deliberately being as calm with him as possible.
    It is understandable, and it it will render us, the viewers, extremely irritated with Brooks' absolutely insulting and offensive behavior. She is clear on how she is approaching this "Mathboi Fly,” the slaughterer, and she knows precisely what she is doing with this dressed-up, stinking pile of excrement playing at "law."
    If it were legal, I would get into that courtroom and smack his impudent face...alas, I can't.
    For example, she said that she can charge him with contempt (easily! And he keeps trying to make her do it), but explained that it would delay the case, which she does. not. want.
    She has an amazingly cool head, before Brooks' incessant bratty, mish-mash interruptions and insults. She knows what she's doing and does it very well; most others don’t have that self-control or calm.
