The correct move is to fly your own flag choice on your own property, not steal others'.

Wanted to offer a word of support and love from my wife and I from Canada.
My daughter came out to us a few years ago and I know it was a very hard thing for her to do. For my wife and I, it changed absolutely nothing about our love and support for her.
We’ve marched alongside her and her friends and taken some time to really try to understand the joys and fears that one can expect in society. I’ve experienced the same anxiety and anger when I read stories like this and though I’m an ally, I can never really know what it’s like to be subject to this kind of hatred.
You matter. You absolutely do.
The whole world is not like this. These are small minded bigots and only have the power to hate. Not create.

Don’t forget that this originated in the 50’s when they wanted to keep black and white kids from going to the same schools. They felt that if the kids got to know each other, they would be more likely to marry and race mix down the road.
Then they focused on homosexuality. Getting people fired in the 70’s. With legal protection, this has shifted to Trans folks.
The irony of a fundamentalist using this trope is that it’s based in hate and usually said from people who belong to churches that have an actual history of shielding actual pedophiles and abusers. The same churches they give money to today.

The fact that people are focused on the burning of the flag versus the fact that someone is stealing from others just shows you the Olympic hurdles people jump to justify wrong they agree with. The first amendment doesn’t apply to Republicans only. Stop being hypocrites! God hates sin which includes hate of people who don’t agree with you.

I have no prob with the gay flag but fly it at your house or on your car. Putting it in schools, outside city halls etc, is a no no. of course it should only be put on private property, which is the case in this video, so it's completely wrong and illegal to steal it. While I agree that the american flag should be the only one on public places, we better make sure that flag DOES REPRESENT ALL OF US; the problem is that for a long time it didn't; many people under that flag was discriminated and less than others; that's why the lgbt flag was born; so when a gay person saw it, knew that he/she was indeed welcomed.
The flag is only flown for a month; which actually tracks pretty well with statistics. That's about 8% of all days the flag is being shown, and the LGBT community makes up about 8% of America. Now, before you say it, veterans do not have a designated appreciation flag. Howwwever, it is customary for some public buildings to display military flags, as a show of appriciation. And I agree that this practice should be expanded to include all public buildings, especially in the month of May, especially on Veterans Day.
Despite what many believe, pride month is not trying to dunk on the military. I appreciate our service members and what they do for us. They should receive more appriciation.
