I saw them in 1990 I believe it was. In Montana of all places. Fugazi was always the people's band. They'd come to podunk Montana and play their 5 dollar shows. Waiting Room still is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. I remember how stoked I was when I finally got the bass lines down for Waiting Room and Suggestion.

Fugazi proved that you can stick to your principles and still make great music for the people. I'm so proud that they're from DC. Outside the apathy of Constitution Ave. and the K street, there is a real breathing, living city with a lot of culture and roots.

sorry to all the people who will never experience things like this. if you're reading this in the future just know the technological trade off wasn't worth it no matter how hard they try to sell it to you. these types of moments have become more and more rare. i'd have no problem giving all of it up if the world decided to trade backwards. smart phones dont matter, youtube, social media doesnt matter. its great to discover things on this platform but the trade off still isnt worth it, now we use these platforms to try and find what we already had.

sorry to all the people who will never experience things like this. if you're reading this in the future just know the technological trade off wasn't worth it no matter how hard they try to sell it to you. these types of moments have become more and more rare. i'd have no problem giving all of it up if the world decided to trade backwards. smart phones dont matter, youtube, social media doesnt matter. its great to discover things on this platform but the trade off still isnt worth it, now we use these platforms to try and find what we already had.
