Yep, i agree with everything said here, i personally have a pair of the lonsdale pro training gloves, which is the EXACT same build with a different logo, im willing to bet they are made in the same factories too.
One of the new guys at the gym was giving me crap for all my gloves being over $100. Sadly during sparring he hit my elbow and sprained his wrist and hurt his knuckle using these gloves. He’s now on the market for a better glove and asking me about my gloves.
Boxing is a sport that you could potentially get hurt really bad, if anything it would behoove you to get quality equipment. Gloves and headgear is something I don’t cheap out on.
@@carbonfiberfan I agree, hence why I have a collection of high quality gloves, and very good head guards.

I’ve been using these for a year now , and I thought they were great , I can’t wait to try my new custom infinitude gloves
You will notice a big difference in hand support and protection infinitude are way better than these
If you think these were good you’re gonna love your new ones
I’ve had my nose bloodied up sparring someone with these, surprised you would even bother reviewing them.
I’d definitely be interested to hear your opinion on the new everlast mx2’s
I think it’s important to show the range of gloves out there but also how they rate against good gloves and gloves with Fit2box stars
@@Fit2Box that’s a good point, I was interested to see how the low scoring nbnl training gloves compared to genuinely poor gloves
@@michaelnahum6782 yes the NBNL do score as ‘above average’ gloves because that’s how they rate -as disappointing as they were they are still better than a lot of gloves out there , although many ‘good’ gloves score higher
Hopefully my scoring shows the range of gloves out there but also puts into perspective how close the top gloves are

I agree with everything in this video. I have Superior gloves and they only $20-$25 more and are x10000 times better. But after a year and a half, they’re just now wearing down. But do you think there are better gloves than the Superior boxing gloves (winning style) for the same price? I need to replace them.
My mate trains with these gloves and had the audacity to say I needed a new pair of gloves
Could you recommend a very pre-broken boxing glove which is not too tight for Kickboxing?

For $20 more you can have an insanely better glove that will last 6 months to a year+
Decathlon sells a beginner boxing for the same price and it’s so much better.
completely agree used these gloves for 1 hour on the heavy bag 12oz version absolutely terrible getting cleto reyes now

pretty new in martial art sports (Thai boxing) , sadly fall in this strap buying theses not really knowing anything about glove , they have lasted a month and half , currently waiting for my pair of twins special and fairies bgv 6
Did you get new gloves?
I got these gloves for Christmas 2022, on the first day of use I noticed the knuckle padding was sort of forming to the shape of the pads I was hitting with them, Im not sure if this is supposed to happen instantly if at all.
As well, the wrist support is so awful, the shape of the glove almost feels like it is TRYING to misalign my wrist when I punch.
I noticed at Walmart they have a version 2 of the Everlast Core and Pro Style training gloves, and I am curious to see if they improved but I dont want to take 1 for the team and spend another 45 dollars.
By the way, great review and love the channel!
I suppose the 'pro' of the glove is they dont smell after a year, and my hands do keep cool. But the gloves feel like an chore to use when I train and decide to use them.
These are now impossible to find for a good price in the UK, I don't know if its because the stopped making them or something

Great to see a video on the lower quality gloves. I know that many gloves don't make the cut for what you show on your channel, but this serves as a great reminder as to why 😆😆

Well if your just starting out, these are almost ok. After you decide this is the sport you want to do for the next long time, then it would behoove you to invest in gloves that are over 100 dollars.

These gloves use to be 16$ US that’s why they were popular at first until they raised the price

People often forget that spending 20 euros more makes a gloves better and last longer not to mention you can sell a better glove for more on ebay, you have to pay me to even consider wearing these when shadowboxing
Anytime someone tries to spar with me with these gloves, I get the Cletos out. Absolutely no padding in these gloves to the point I thought my opponent tampered with the glove at first
Damn I just wanted some half decent 8oz gloves I already have decent 12oz and 16oz gloves I guess i picked the wrong the pair lol wish I would’ve seen this before buying them, I would’ve got the rdx
RDX do some decent low cost gloves when these break go that route 👍🏼

You have to understand these gloves weren't designed to be utilized in a boxing gym and the abuse a boxing glove would take for heavy bag workouts every day or even sparring, these were made for people who just use these for fitness classes / boxing fitness classes once or twice a week. Everlast as a business needs to cover all spectrums of the market from boxing fitness to pro fighters... majority of their sales to be honest probably come from these type of gloves lol.

Ikr these gloves are just beginner or workout gloves. They're good for just that especially for the price of it. I understand that there are better quality gloves but these are good enough for most people who are on a tight budget
They're horrible, but I had a student who LOVED them, and yes he had tried other better gloves proving that there really IS someone/something for everyone/everything.
That's shocking , can't imagine the other gloves he thought were worse .
These gloves should come with a health hazard. Remember being hit by one in sparring when I was 18. I did a double take for a minute I thought he was fighting me bare knuckle.

I have these and the cheap Slovenian gloves that I use in my boxing classes are better
Everlast pro style: lasted 1 week
Everlast elite pro style: lasted 3 weeks before thumb stitching came apart
Everlast 1910: lasted 1 week before hand strap ripped off
They didn't work for you because you don't have pro fists . :-P Neverlast needs to get their act together
This glove caused me a wrist injury, lasted me 2 months of use, winning has been my best investment, also a brand is only as good as it's cheapest product and that's why i never recommend Everlast
I’d cut the Powerlocks some slack. But they’re higher end
@@WhoDaF0ok1sThatGuy except even they're bad, the padding is known to break down fast, check his review on the power locks and a lot of boxers say they broke down, they even accused of Tyson Fury of wearing power locks without padding in sparring but it was just that they broke down.
Pretty much all everlast training gloves are cheap junk .

These are awful one of the worst pair of gloves on the market. I had a pair when I first started and my wrist still not 100%
That might not be the gloves fault, but your own. Bad technique leads to injuries.

I find Everlast makes great gloves and awful gloves. No middle ground with them.
This is the trash glove of the world , it’s like everlast was going to sell them at dollar tree
