Hayden recently revealed that he tried to mimic Jake's little half smile which he did at the end of Phantom Menace during the parade in his performance, which as a long time fan, is something I never noticed till he pointed it out. Props to Jake for giving Anakin that.
Dude When I rewatched it with COby i saw how much acting went into that. He was happy to be a jedi now but way not happy to be without his mom. That smirk was perfect. I always felt so bad he was bullied. I never liked the prequels and was so hurt by them but I would have NEVER bullied Ani nor JarJar Actors thats way not their fault so sad. I cried when I found out the JarJar Actor was the Jedi that saved Grogu. He was so badass. I had tears for the Actor i just wanted to hug him. Hell I did a JarJar voice for forever, all in parody of course but still!
I think I finally put a finger on what exactly I like about your reactions. You genuinely seem to enjoy movies, while at the same time watching closely enough to get things that most reactors miss. Just a big thumbs up all around, Miss Coby!
@@ace1usmcshe is amazingly pretty (and her hair was especially fabulous today), but all the looks in the world would not keep me coming back if her enthusiasm for these movies was lackluster. Sorry.
Darth Coby, watch the clone wars animated show you will, show you the story and the events between this movie and the next it will, and love all the characters even more, and many new characters, you will. Peak star wars it is, imo, and make the prequels way better this animated show does. And also available on disney plus it is, hmm, yes :)
Jake Lloyd’s mental health is improving, and his mom has clarified that he was actually shielded from a lot of the backlash and while there was some bullying in high school, his retirement from acting was mostly due to family drama at home.
@@EntertainmentFan11 If you have any family member with schizophrenia, you know that run-ins with police are pretty common occurrences. All too often fatally because god forbid we teach cops to recognize and deal with mental illness.
Either way, the poor kid (not a kid anymore but you know what I mean) had it too rough after The Phantom Menace. Having been through my parents' divorce and having to try and shield my younger siblings from a wicked stepmother (perhaps different from Jake Lloyd's family's drama, but drama and divorce are all too frequent in what should be stable families), it's a nightmare to try and deal with and come out well-adjusted on the other end of it. It takes a lot of time and I liked Jake as pre-teen Anakin.
We never met Sifo Dyas. When Dooku was still a Jedi, he manipulated Dyas to order the creation of the clone army for the republic, then he betrayed him, killed him, and covered it up. Dooku did all this because he had secretly joined Sidious and was his new Sith apprentice after Darth Maul was killed. (Dooku is Darth Tyranus) The Kaminoans assumed the order was legit, so they would deal with any jedi.
Sifo Dyas was retroactively declared to be one of the Jedi on the council in The Phantom Menace. The initial idea was that the clone army would have been ordered by "Master Si Dias" (aka Darth Sidious), however there was a typo in the script that went unnoticed for a while, so the story was altered slightly to accommodate the creation of the unseen Sifo Dyas.
@@ImpossibleCaseEdits I had a hard time watching "The Clone Wars", because it was so goofy and had a total different tone than the movies... Plus it contradicted the earlier animation series "Clone Wars" in many ways, which was a little bit more serious (more brutal for sure) and with especially its ending tying in really good into the movies.
@@InnermostSilence well it's quite controversial. A lot of episodes can be really boring. But I believe a good selection of TCW episodes is really useful to "complete" the movies and create a much better comprehension of the context. Then there are the masterpiece arcs (like Mortis or the final one in season 7) that no one should miss 😁
I'm personally a fan of the comic series where they create General Grievous, making him force sensitive using a transfusion of Sifo Dyas's blood. Far better origin story than was suggested in Clone Wars, as much as I loved Clone Wars.
There are several different bounty hunters in a scene from Episode 5, including Bossk and Boba Fett. I totally get why that scene wouldn't stick with a first-timer though. It has the "No disintegrations" quote in it but that's pretty much it. Jabba also shows up in Episode 4 with a bunch of bounty hunters, including Greedo and Boba Fett. But they are never stated to be bounty hunters at that point, so fair enough. These things sort themselves out the more content you watch, the fight between Cad Bane and Fennec Shand was probably the most interesting thing in The Bad Batch, for example. And both of them are bounty hunters as well. If only all the episodes could have held that level, it might be the best Filoni has done but it's still bland overall. He is simply not the guy to save the franchise. I'm not even sure it can be done.
@@Sandlund93 I'm not sure if you're replying to me or not but I was just trying to make a joke. I'm aware of all or at least most of the bounty hunters, Cad Bane being my favorite.
@@HellNaught I was trying to reply to both. And yeah, my bad. Jabba actually questions why Han fried "poor Greedo". So yeah, he was already dead at that point. There are 2 random rodians in that scene though, who look exactly like him. So I'll blame it on them. I'm not even sure if the others, except for Boba, are bounty hunters or just simply Jabba's people.
I worked with Tamuera Morrison in a movie on the GC. We aren't allowed to talk to the cast but he came a sat with us for lunch and opened up to questions and tips. Good good dude.
It's sad what they did to his stand alone series. I really liked the Book of Boba Fett. I'm sad we're not getting a second season. I really like Temura.
I still find the relationship in this episode awkward and uncomfortable. Anakin comes off like a Stalker, saying all sorts of creepy things. The writing and directing for the romance scenes in this movie is sub par. The rest of it I enjoyed. And just to be clear I'm not hating on Hayden. He was a young yet inexperienced actor. He has talent. But due to his inexperience he was not able to overcome bad writing and bad directing. I've always felt bad for the actor in these 2 movies and I was so glad he got some redemption in Kenobi and Ahsoka..
Christopher Lee has like one of the most impressive filmographies out there with way over 200 films. I mean he was in Star Wars AND LOTR plus he is THE Dracula :D especially his horror movies are just unmatched.
@kurtrusselltownmassacre6802 Here here ! Christopher Lee was the Dracula i grew up with he had such a smooth yet menacing approach to the character he appeared along with Peter Cushing in a host of Hammer Horror films classics i still love now .
Padme and Anakin switched droids as wedding gifts to each other. Remember from the start, Anakin built 3po, and r2 was originally a maintenance droid in Padme's ship. Throughout the next movie, r2 travels around with Anakin, and 3po stays with Padme
R2 is the main character of the saga... he's the only one who knows about everything that happens, keeping secrets and saving the day on a regular basis.
Lucas's original premise or perhaps the actual premise is the Star Wars Saga is being told by microscopic organisms called the Whills. The Whills obtained all their information from R2 which is the reason R2 features so Prominently in the Saga.
You have the benefit of possibly binging the whole story and satisfying your suspicions in a short period of time. Some of us waited for years between episodes and screamed like little girls - even as adult males - when a new episode made it to the theater. I'm glad you are enjoying the story.
Christopher Lee was a real life James Bond during World War 2. As an actor he often plays bad guys from Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Three Musketeers , The Man with the Golden Gun, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and other movies etc.
So sad that he didn't get more screentime. I looove Episode II, but the end feels a bit rushed. So many separatist characters shown just for seconds that one barely get an idea of the CIS/Separatists.
*Rose Byrne appears* Coby: “MY AUSSIE SENSE IS TINGLING” 😂 I will never forget being in the theater and the crowd like exploding in applause and howling when Yoda lit up that lightsaber lol. Can’t wait for the Revenge of the Sith reaction.
@14:18 Coby, casually, just watching this for the first time: "Is that Mouse from the Matrix?" Me, having never realised this previously: *stunned Pikachu face*
Not as well known as it should be, but like Basil Rathbone, Christopher Lee was an expert fencer and was always up for a role where he could use it. You see him using it in the fencing scenes here, just as you did in the (supurb, excellent, so much better than that 90's trash) 1973 Three Musketeer and 1974 Four Musketeers movies. (With Raquel Welch, Fay Dunaway, Oliver Reed, Michael York, Richard Chamberlain, Charleton Heston, FFS so just watch it you haven't). My recollection is that the curved light saber was the result of some input he had.
@steverobinson5109 On the topic of good fencing, I suggest everyone check out _'The Mark of Zorro (1940)'_ to see Basil Rathbone and Tyrone Power have some good swordplay.
You wanted to jump into episode III immediately. Imagine seeing Star Wars at the theater in 1977 (as a six-year-old) and having to wait almost 30 years to get the full backstory.
I absolutely love seeing people experience Star Wars for the first time and enjoy it this much. I'm new to her reactions. But, they are so genuine I'm definitely a fan
Artoo is basically a mechanic droid. I always pitcure him as beeping in a New York accent, swaring every other word just to piss off his erudite English butler best friend.
From an interview with Jake Lloyd's mother (the little boy that played Anakin in Episode 1), she mentioned that the narrative that being in Episode 1 and being bullied for it in school leading to his later troubles was largely false. It sounds like the reality is that Jake Lloyd just unfortunately is an individual that developed schizophrenia, for whatever reason, perhaps genetics or perhaps just unfortunate luck, but it wasn't really Star Wars that caused it, just a medical condition that would've happened anyway. She mentioned that actually if anything, she and Jake are recently using Star Wars to help with his mental state and have been watching the current Disney+ shows together like Ahsoka and whatnot. So thoughts and prayers out to them, hope he gets better.
I'm convinced R2-D2 is the most powerful being in the Star Wars universe. Also enjoying how Coby pays attention to details and watching her piecing everything together.
Listen to the names. Jango Fett states that he was recruited by a man named Tyranus to be the clones' original. At the end his Sith master calls Dooku Lord Tyrannus. Darth Tyranus is his Sith name. So Dooku at least recruited Fett for the cloning. So clones were originally a plot by the Sith. While Sifo-Dyas(we don't learn about him in the movies) was Dooku's friend and was used by Dooku in this plot and killed to hide the traces. Also the Sith lord in the end says that everything is going as planned as a reply to the report that the war has begun.
Count Dooku is played by the Legend himself, Sir Christopher Lee. But for Salic Law, he would have been a proper count as his mother was a Countessa and member of the esteemed and ancient Carandini Family who were granted arms by the Emperor Frederick Barbarossa in the 12th Century. There is not enough room to describe Lee's truly amazing life, but suffice to say he served in the Winter War (if only for a couple months), WWII as a RAF Intelligence Officer in Africa against Rommel's Afrika Corps, where he was nearly killed by a bombing raid, and attached to the SAS (though not actual SAS) where he was involved with Tito's partisans. He worked with CROWCASS tracking Nazi war-criminals. He has acted in over 200 films, has more sword-fights on film than any other man, was disfigured by Errol Flynn, met Rasputin's killers as a child, then playing the Mad Monk with Rasputin's daughter's blessing, won permission to marry a Swedish Countess from the King of Sweden himself while they were both washing dishes. For a time in the 60s and 70s he was one of the best amateur golfers in the world playing against the likes of Jack Nicholas and Arnold Palmer and winning. He spoke 8 languages and married a Danish model. He was best friends with Peter Cushing and Vincent Price and is the center of the Hollywood universe in the 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon game. He was the definitive Dracula for decades, was the Man with the Golden Gun, Saruman and of course Count Dooku. He is the oldest artist to ever chart on Billboard, landing at 22 on his 91st Birthday with his Heavy Metal record Jingle Hell, off of two well-received metal albums he released in his 90s. In sum, he was a bad ass and the world's most interesting man for decades.
@@LordVolkov Peter Jackson's story about that is amazing. Lee is said to have pulled Jackson aside and asked if he had ever seen a man stabbed through the back. Jackson, of course, said no; Sir Christopher then explained how they actually behave.
I’m sure that someone has already said this, but George Lucas had originally said that the entire story of Star Wars is being told to the viewer by R2-D2, which is why R2 is often portrayed as the most heroic character 😂 None of that is canon now, but I do think it’s a fun lens to watch these movies through.
Young Anakin's actor's mother recently commented that he was having a rough time at home for multiple reasons, and most of the hatred for the film and his role back in the day actually went over his head ...
I love this movie. One of my favorite things is the music, especially towards the end, when you start to hear the Imperial March theme, to signify the beginning of what will become the Galactic Empire. Great job at spotting Rose Byrne. My favorite movie that she is in is Troy. And, speaking of Keira Knightley, she was in a movie called Princess of Thieves, in which she plays the daughter of Robin Hood.
I really don't know why some people like spoiling movies for these reactors. Do they think they'll be able to get in the good graces of these reactors because they spoiled things?
Calm down u ninnies!! Don’t get ur adult diapers in a bunch. She’s already seen Ep 3. Its been edited and awaits upload - when their damn good and ready!!
@@realBkay how do you know? Did you edit it? Just because she said she wants to see it now, doesn't mean she saw it yet. She mentioned the comments she saw from The Phantom Menace. I guess you thought she had already seen Attack Of The Clones when The Phantom Menace video was uploaded. I guess you are one of those people who enjoy spoiling movies for others.
@@rxlxviii People typically spoil because they wanna show that they are in the know. That's the main reason. Sometimes it can be done by accident or thoughtlessness, but that's rare. Because the most thoughtful thing would be to not make a comment at all, that's the only way to guarantee that you won't spoil anything. But that kinda defeats the purpose of a reaction on social media, so we end up with people being people.
I have many observations but, I have to be mindful of not spoiling anything. One thing you missed I think is the house on Tatooine where Padmé stayed while Anakin was off looking for his Mom.
I love the fight between Dooku and Yoda so much. Also, the 3 beasties sent in to kill Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padmé are a reek (the rhino-looking one), an acklay (the one that looks like a praying mantis) and a nexu (the tiger-looking one). Fun fact: Samuel L. Jackson asked the producers if his character could have a purple lightsaber, so he could find himself easily during the Battle of Geonosis in the sea of blue and green lightsabers....and because it's his favorite color. (Mine too, honestly)
top 3 for me, orange, teal, purp lol but its my fav hud color in FPS games, its the only color that doesnt blend in with the explosions and sky and grass haha but i go a lil lighter and brighter for that more magnetta
My private names for the three monsters that are unleashed during the "executions" scene are: the Rhino-thing, the Porcupine-thing, and the Lobster-thing.
I've been watching your channel for a couple of months now. Love your reactions, especially to this movie. I've seen attack of the clones a bunch of times, and I've watched numerous reactions. I can't remember off the top of my head if any of the reactors cry as much as you did when Anakin's mother died. However, I know for a fact I've never cried during the scene where Anakin's mother dies, until this morning. I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but watching you break down when the mom died actually made me cry to that scene for the first time, ever. Great job ❤❤❤ P.S. I don't want to spoil anything for you, but I'll just say you are extremely sharp. The first reaction I can ever remember seeing of yours was to Fight Club, and I'm pretty sure you figured out the twist about a quarter of the way into the movie.

We aren't really supposed to know who Sifo-Dyas is. It's mostly a throwaway name with almost no lore behind it beyond the fact that he contracted the Kaminoans to build the clone army. The Kaminoans are indeed engaging with Kenobi because I don't think they could conceive that there might different factions within the Jedi Order, so they assume he knows all about it. This is an amazing film to run in surround and really turn it up. Scared the dog the first time I cranked it up for those seismic charges. And the sound of that first Nubian ship coming into Coruscant is a sweet window-shaker. Fun fact about Christopher Lee: he revealed in a special features interview that, in the fights, all the full body shots are a stuntman. He said something to the effect of "I can still do all the swordplay, but the legs just aren't up to the acrobatics anymore." Super nice guy and his interviews for Lord of the Rings are equally cool.
That was the most intense reaction to Shmi's death I've ever seen. Senator Palpatine, then Chancellor Palpatine, played by Ian McDiarmid. And Count Dooku as others have mentioned is Christopher Lee, who was also Saruman.
I can tell the editor loves the sound of the seismic charges because it was probably the loudest thing in the entire video. :D Not a complaint, I just wasn't prepared. XD
The emperor was not in A New Hope. He didn't show up until one scene in Empire Strikes Back but was played by another actor. Ian did not appear until Return of the Jedi, (although to remain consistent they reshot the Empire scenes with him and replaced the original footage)
R2-D2, I remember reading an article that referenced George Lucas saying that the original trilogy, the prequels, and the sequels are all told from one person's point of view... R2-D2. He's been around for it all, and his memory has never been wiped.... Unlike C-3PO whose memory has been wiped more than once
BB8 was a fun new droid character (and design) but it frustrated me quite a bit that R2D2 got sidelined so much in the sequels because of the original through-line of R2 (and C3PO) being the quiet observers of the entire Skywalker tale.
@@mattwhyte6608 true, but remember C-3PO memory was wiped, at least once. So he doesn't remember that Anakin built him or anything from Padme's death on back.
@@ryanstandre3648 Even when he hasn't had his mind wiped, Threepio often doesn't really understand the bigger picture or what's going on around him despite being present during most of the major events of the saga, which just sort of adds to the humour of his situation throughout the whole saga, haha.
The relationship between Anakin and Padme has more sense with the deleted scenes from the original footage. If you can take a look at these deleted scenes, you will like it even more. It´s a great chemistry.
Coby not recognizing Keira Knightley is a compliment. It shows a component of Keira's range, and why Deadpool said in a post credit scene she might play Cable in Deadpool 2. They needed a big guy with a flat top, and Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, and Keira Knightley fit that description.
@@kegr1066 trying not to be a jerk in this one. But that wasn't Keira Knightley. Just checked her IMDb. She is credited only for appearing in the phantom menace, not attack of the clones
You are the first reactor I've watched who noticed the Chancellor had aged a lot between Episodes 1 and 2. And admittedly, I never noticed it either until you mentioned it, so thank you for that.
Lucas wanted to emphasize that Palpatine was being affected by the use of the Dark Side and that his public image was a facade, but ditched that visual for Episode 3 to emphasize the idea of Palpatine being a nice old guy to Anakin, and to make the moment when his face gets damaged more distinct.
Boba Fett is the bounty hunter seen in episodes IV to VI. Jango was his father. After his dad's death, Boba took his armor and his ship Slave I, to inherit his dad's job as a bounty hunter. It has been repainted and have got a few damages throughout the years, but it's the same armor. You'll see more of Boba as a bit older in The Clone Wars series (set between episodes II and III).
@14:35 after Obi-Wan slices the changling. You can see as some surprise Cameos really quick....Anthony Daniels who plays C-3PO......George Lucas Daughter, as a Blue Twi'lek and next to her is...Ahmed Best who plays Jar Jar Binks.
46:29 I realized this only recently, but the name Palpatine was never uttered in the original trilogy (or was it?). However, in the expanded universe materials that came out after the original trilogy the Emperor was definitely called Palpatine. So when the prequel trilogy came out and introduced a character named Palpatine, I think most Star Wars fans realized right on the spot that he was the future Emperor (I definitely did when I saw it back in 1999).
One good thing to remember about Anakin is that he is a Jedi, who isn't used to regular romantic norms. He's never had a chance to talk to another girl or any girl in a non professional sense. He's not used to telling someone he loves them, since attachment is forbidden. So him being a bit aggressive and awkward in explaining his crush on her in the fireplace scene is understandable to me.
I love how people excuse awful dialogue and writing for “well it was stylistically meant to be like this” Rise of skywalker was just meant to be messy right?

The sand dwellers, who had already appeared in "The Phantom Menace" in the race scene, shooting the participants and do it again here, being the ones who kidnap and end up killing Anakin's mother, are the same "tribe." "which in episode 4, is the scene in which the character of Ben Kenobi is introduced... Glad you enjoyed These originals and Prequels the next one is the best of the Prequels by a mile. Hopefully you watch it ASAP. It's something to see new people watch and enjoy the films I loved growing up loving. I was so young when star wars came out in 1977. I was hooked and it was everywhere you couldn't hide for it. No social media back then and to see you invested in them when it isn't really that big no more. You people have the pleasure of being able to watch them one after the other. Back then we had to wait years to find out if han was OK after empire strikes back and back then we saw it in a crazy uncontrollable excitement in cinemas. Star wars was my childhood and love them films and always will as I've so many memories. Disney have seriously damaged this franchise but for me theirs only the originals and Prequels and they can never undo them no matter how they disrespect original characters and lore these films respect. Awesome video coby look forward to you completing your real lucas star wars journey.
Please go right into Epsiode 3, it's the best one by far! By the way, you didn't notice this but the place where Anakin went to find his mom (his step brothers house the people that his mom lived with) THAT'S Luke's house from the 1st movie New Hope. The young couple (Owen and Barroo) are the people that raised Luke. Remember, Anakin and Luke are from the same planet, Tatooine.
Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas mentioned by Kaminonians is not seen before in Star Wars. Kaminonians are thinking that Jedi order has commissioned for the creation of the clone army for the republic though Sifo-Dyas, who visited them some years ago. Obi-wan does not know Sifo-Dyas too well but he knows he was killed sometime around the time of Phantom Menace. I believe Jar Jar was meant to have a bigger role but he was indeed cut down after the excessive backlash The was indeed a member of Sebulba’s species (Dug), but not Sebulba himself. Obi Wan did say in New Hope that Anakin was the best pilot in the galaxy *Ani:* jumps out of car from high altitude. *Obi:* “I hate it when he does that.” *Also Obi:* yeets himself out a window from a high altitude 3 minutes earlier. Oh my god that _is_ Mouse from the Matrix! I never knew that! “Is his mom still [on Naboo]?” She never was You never met Syfo Dyas. He was established here. The kaminoans believe Obi Wan is aware of the clone army project The little boy is indeed the bounty hunter that goes after Han Solo in the original trilogy. He wears his father’s armor. Owen and Beru! Luke’s aunt and uncle! The red and green dressed aliens (neimoidians) were basically the main antagonists in Phantom Menace The Emperor is the hooded man you’re thinking of. You’ve never seen R2 fly in the other movies “Wdym what’s wrong?! His mom died! That was stupid” Anakin proceeds to reveal the atrocity he’s ashamed to have committed. 🤷♂️ “Is [Mace] secretly bad?” What? Where did that come from? Clone troopers and stormtroopers are very different, but do bare a similar look. The former are the first step towards the latter. The clones eventually get discontinued and stormtroopers are regular human recruits and conscripts. This is explained outside the movies. Yup, the geonosians designed the death star. It was an intricate design. They make catacombs that are like mazes. A New Hope is 22 years after this, so Anakin would be around 40-41 by then Yes, lightsabers cauterize. Unless you’re of a species whose blood doesn’t cuterize, like the bar patron in A New Hope that was bothering Luke Darth Sidious is _a_ sith, and he is _the_ main sith they’re looking for, but not the only sith You didn’t connect a dot! When Dooku meets up with Sidious, he greets him as Lord Tyranus. Dooku’s sith name is Darth Tyranus. Jango said he was recruited to be the clone template by a man called _Tyranus!_ As to the creation of the clone army, jedi Sifo Dyas did order it but he died before it was completed and Dooku took control of the project under an alias. And Dooku was the one to erase Kamino from the archives.
It's a shame they hounded the actors like they did. I never liked Jar Jar but I don't blame the actor. I never knew it was an actor for the longest time. I thought it was CGI. 🖖
If Anakin had missed the assassin's flying car, he would probably have been splatted out on the ground. Remember - he and the other Jedi are using the force. He can levitate a bit and ensure that he catches a flycar like this. But real flying... do not thin so.
You would think that the Jedi should be more suspicious of the Supreme Chancellor. But there are not because Chancellor Palpatine is already the leader of the known galaxy.
Calling The Emperor 'The Hood' is pretty funny Coby 🤣🤣🤣 Never change. Your instincts serve you well. I think that reveal, and the one in Jedi, are better delivered in Machete order 4,5,1,2,3,6
48:07 - Artoo likely only has limited fuel supply, and this was an Emergency. 53:50 - out of all the people there (politicians, a rogue Jedi), Mace Windu picks the only person who is relatively expendable 56:22 - the real reason Artoo beeps is to censor out his curse words from having to always be the one who saves the day. 58:22 - that is not the 'Death Star'. Those are merely plans for an energy-based planet-cracking system, to get to the heavier elements that have sunk into a planet's mantle and core. 1:03:13 - Dooku was likely using the Force to keep the cylinder a danger to Anakin & Obi-Wan 1:02:25 - yea, a lightsaber does burn as well as cut. Remember Phantom Menace, where Qui-Gon put his lightsaber into the blast door and was steadily melting his way in? Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for showing kindness and sympathy for little Jake. Certain elements of the fandom can become quite toxic and they unleashed their toxicity onto that sweet little boy. These fans are not the majority but they can be the louder part of the crowd. They came out against the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy. While I can agree there are some continuity concerns throughout, the story is supposed to be fun. It borrows from reality and fantasy but overall it’s fun. I like your style of reacting.
I strongly recommend Coby watch the Obi-wan series after episode III. It's only 6 episodes and I think she'd appreciate the story. It fills in the gap between III and IV.
Fun fact: This film was being made around the same time as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and the theme music in the coruscant chase scene is nearly identical to the rogue bludger scene in CoS. Also, because I never saw this movie in theatres and only had it on VHS and early versions of DVD, I never heard Shmee's voice in Anakin's nightmare.
Coby Cute one that you have described, Jake Lloyd quit acting after Phanton Menace because he was bullied at school plus harassing by the press. Now, today, Jake is dealing with mental issues. Jake lost his sister, Madison died in her sleep. Madison was an extra in Phantom Menace. Her death added more to his personal issues. I read that according to his mom; Jake is improving mentally.
I read this comment someone left above I'll cut and paste it here... Jake Lloyd’s mental health is improving, and his mom has clarified that he was actually shielded from a lot of the backlash and while there was some bullying in high school, his retirement from acting was mostly due to family drama at home.
Ani falls to the Dark Side in this movie, while he becomes Lord Vader in the next one. Oh and you got it in one, he becomes Vader because of Padme. Good job on that one, and a few other ones. Most do not this early.
19:12 No need to worry. They have training sabers that aren’t as powerful as regular lightsabers. They can stun and will hurt if you touch the blade but aren’t lethal and usually used for deflection practice.
In between this and the 3rd installment is the Clone Wars animated series. Not saying you have to watch that but it does give some context to Anakin and Obi Wans relationship and rank now being generals in the Clone Army and Jedi Knights. You're going to love The Mandalorian TV show. Fett is a Mandalorian word for their clan.
Being in Fox Studios Australia, the production introduced and propelled careers of the Australian and New Zealand actors, or at least their recognition. I remember looking up other movies by Rose Byrne, Temeura Morrison, and actors barely glimpsed like Susie Porter (in the diner) and Claudia Karvan (scenes cut). The neat thing about the prequels at the time they were coming out was seeing all the references to the original trilogy and how it would lead to it. Just details like Anakin in black like Luke in "Return of the Jedi," or Padme with hair like Leia's, were fun to notice. That wait between 1999 and 2002, while keeping up with all the details, castings, teaser pictures and behind-the-scenes interviews released by Lucasfilm, was absolutely unbearable. Plus the release date was a long day as I waited all day for the midnight premiere. Tickets went on sale about a week before it. I got in line at about 8 pm and they started seating at 10 pm and I sat there for two hours. No reserved seating then. When this came out, there was a lot of praise of it but then suddenly after about a week, there was trendy backlash and bashing of it.
I've been watching your reaction since Star Wars: A New Hope. And I have to say, I really enjoy watching it through a new person's eyes. It's been years for me. But what really surprised and saddened me was what I learned about Jake Lloyd, the actor who played Anakin. As soon as you mentioned his struggles, I looked him up and learned that he suffered from the same mental illness that my mom suffered for years - Paranoid Schizophrenia. It's a devastating mental illness. Anyway, thank you for helping me to enjoy watching these movies again through your eyes. And by the way, I followed you on IG. 🙂
Glad you got so much out of this. People rag on Clones, and it's a mystery to me why. Outside of the scenes with Padme and Anakin together, it's a really solid film. But now you're up for the MAIN EVENT next...
I just love seeing your reactions to each of the Star Wars saga movies. It's truly a delight to see how much you enjoy a movie and each of the comments you make. Plus, you're a beautiful, incredibly pleasant and very funny woman. I've been a huge fan of yours since I saw your first video with episode IV. Thank you so much. Sending lots of love from Mexico
We saw that smile at the end of his appearance in Ashoka
He also did it when Padme said she was going to rescue Obi Wan and if he wanted to protect her he'd have to go too!
His performance is so underrated in these movies. He played Anakin perfectly. A young, horny, confused teenager with a GOD syndrome.

Exactly! Jake Lloyd developed schizophrenia while he was in college and has been struggling with his disease, but has been better as of late.
He also had frequent run-ins with the police.
@@ryanreeves8931 yea the struggle with that is real, i only hear things, if i also saw things i would def be unhinged haha
(Dooku is Darth Tyranus)
The Kaminoans assumed the order was legit, so they would deal with any jedi.
Sifo Dyas is shown in "The Clone Wars" and the subplot was properly explored in the series.
"Do all bounty hunters look the same?"
I almost ruptured my spleen laughing at that one.
but then we have Mando so the question kind of has weight lmao.

"But does she see him as a child or a man? (*kiss).........hopefully a man" made me laugh
but shes a politician, so probably a little kid
Hence one of the problems with making Anakin a kid
I still find the relationship in this episode awkward and uncomfortable. Anakin comes off like a Stalker, saying all sorts of creepy things.
The writing and directing for the romance scenes in this movie is sub par. The rest of it I enjoyed.
And just to be clear I'm not hating on Hayden. He was a young yet inexperienced actor. He has talent. But due to his inexperience he was not able to overcome bad writing and bad directing. I've always felt bad for the actor in these 2 movies and I was so glad he got some redemption in Kenobi and Ahsoka..

I agree.

Coby ridiculously way too cute screaming at the camera everytime she figures a Star Wars reference out awesome! ❤
👏👏👏👏👏
I love how people excuse awful dialogue and writing for “well it was stylistically meant to be like this”
Rise of skywalker was just meant to be messy right?
@@barkley8285, yes the writing of the romance stuff is cringe-inducing, but since it is in the movie, it makes for a good in-universe excuse.
@@Tr0nzoid that a pretty politician would fall for an immature murdering borderline sex-predator? Okay.

The Sith "capo" of episodes 4, 5 and 6... Also known as "Emperor".
It seems that when Anakin and Padme go to Tatooine, they visit the one who married Ani's mother, where (in episode 4) the character of Luke Skywalker appears. That he lives with his uncle and his aunt, whose (younger) characters appear here.
Just like the little aliens who collect robots, droids, etc. and end up selling them (as in episode 4 happens with C3PO and R2D2) they make a cameo in these episodes.
Did you notice the literal foreshadowing when they hugged outside? The shadow on the stone 'igloo' looked like Vader's helmet. Also the sun silhouette on the speeder bike...
the shadow on the sand* igloo looks nothing like vaders helmet and there is no vader silhouette on the speeder inn the scene immediately after, thats reaching if ive ever seen it
Glad you enjoyed These originals and Prequels the next one is the best of the Prequels by a mile.
There's something cute about her trying to figure some of these things out
thats a weird thing to say
He is confused af from all the info that Kaminonians are dumping on him at the time and can tell something is off about this story lol
R2 is the secret hero of the whole saga. A stone killer with cute little beeps.
“And I’m Australian” she says in the least Australian accent ever
@@Enochulator right??? Did she move to Australia after growing up in Noaccent Idaho?
Right I call bullshit
@@teeheeteeheeish If you are a citizen of Australia, you are Australian. What's ambiguous about Coby is where she was born, but she clearly grew up Stateside. She's like a reverse Sydney Watson.

This is so wholesome seeing someone discover Star Wars for the first time! Cant wait for the Revenge of the Sith one, by far my favourite prequel.
Most Star Wars fans learned the emperor's name was Palpatine back in the 80s, so we automatically knew the Chancellor was the Emperor when we watched the prequels, and it's funny watching new fans not know right away when they're watching the prequels for the first time...
Aw don't ruin it for her if she didn't get it yet 😂
@@VS-et4pn Not supposed to be a surprise twist though. She just does not know what she is supposed to know (from no fault of her own). One of the downsides of bingeing!
I love your Star Wars reactions! They're so great! Can't wait for the next one! I hope you continue into the animated and live action series.
I believe Jar Jar was meant to have a bigger role but he was indeed cut down after the excessive backlash
The was indeed a member of Sebulba’s species (Dug), but not Sebulba himself.
Obi Wan did say in New Hope that Anakin was the best pilot in the galaxy
*Ani:* jumps out of car from high altitude.
*Obi:* “I hate it when he does that.”
*Also Obi:* yeets himself out a window from a high altitude 3 minutes earlier.
Oh my god that _is_ Mouse from the Matrix! I never knew that!
“Is his mom still [on Naboo]?” She never was
You never met Syfo Dyas. He was established here.
The kaminoans believe Obi Wan is aware of the clone army project
The little boy is indeed the bounty hunter that goes after Han Solo in the original trilogy. He wears his father’s armor.
Owen and Beru! Luke’s aunt and uncle!
The red and green dressed aliens (neimoidians) were basically the main antagonists in Phantom Menace
The Emperor is the hooded man you’re thinking of.
You’ve never seen R2 fly in the other movies
“Wdym what’s wrong?! His mom died! That was stupid” Anakin proceeds to reveal the atrocity he’s ashamed to have committed. 🤷♂️
“Is [Mace] secretly bad?” What? Where did that come from?
Clone troopers and stormtroopers are very different, but do bare a similar look. The former are the first step towards the latter. The clones eventually get discontinued and stormtroopers are regular human recruits and conscripts. This is explained outside the movies.
Yup, the geonosians designed the death star. It was an intricate design. They make catacombs that are like mazes.
A New Hope is 22 years after this, so Anakin would be around 40-41 by then
Yes, lightsabers cauterize. Unless you’re of a species whose blood doesn’t cuterize, like the bar patron in A New Hope that was bothering Luke
Darth Sidious is _a_ sith, and he is _the_ main sith they’re looking for, but not the only sith
You didn’t connect a dot! When Dooku meets up with Sidious, he greets him as Lord Tyranus. Dooku’s sith name is Darth Tyranus. Jango said he was recruited to be the clone template by a man called _Tyranus!_
As to the creation of the clone army, jedi Sifo Dyas did order it but he died before it was completed and Dooku took control of the project under an alias. And Dooku was the one to erase Kamino from the archives.
@@jonmercano1138 That arm was actually his friend, Ponda Baba's.
@@EntertainmentFan11 yeah, that’s who I meant. He was the first to start bothering Luke, then Evazan joined in
It's a shame they hounded the actors like they did. I never liked Jar Jar but I don't blame the actor. I never knew it was an actor for the longest time. I thought it was CGI. 🖖
@jonmercano1138 Apparently the working title/coverup title of the movie was "Jar Jar's Big Adventure," just to mess with fans. I love George Lucas
@@thestupidnintendokid Heh. Like Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. I get it.
I agree with most of the criticism, but the good still far outweighs the bad and I still love this one.
Damn. If she's getting bleary eyed during Clones, Revenge is going to absolutely wreck her. Can't wait.
If Anakin had missed the assassin's flying car, he would probably have been splatted out on the ground.
Remember - he and the other Jedi are using the force. He can levitate a bit and ensure that he catches a flycar like this. But real flying... do not thin so.
“There’s Darth Vader and then there is the HOOD!”
You would think that the Jedi should be more suspicious of the Supreme Chancellor. But there are not because Chancellor Palpatine is already the leader of the known galaxy.
Turns out it's not all good in it at all!
Grew up watching the prequels and never picked that Rose Byrne was in them! Another Aussie legend.
Calling The Emperor 'The Hood' is pretty funny Coby 🤣🤣🤣
Never change.
Your instincts serve you well. I think that reveal, and the one in Jedi, are better delivered in Machete order 4,5,1,2,3,6
48:07 - Artoo likely only has limited fuel supply, and this was an Emergency.
53:50 - out of all the people there (politicians, a rogue Jedi), Mace Windu picks the only person who is relatively expendable
56:22 - the real reason Artoo beeps is to censor out his curse words from having to always be the one who saves the day.
58:22 - that is not the 'Death Star'. Those are merely plans for an energy-based planet-cracking system, to get to the heavier elements that have sunk into a planet's mantle and core.
1:03:13 - Dooku was likely using the Force to keep the cylinder a danger to Anakin & Obi-Wan
1:02:25 - yea, a lightsaber does burn as well as cut. Remember Phantom Menace, where Qui-Gon put his lightsaber into the blast door and was steadily melting his way in?
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great to see my internet crush watching Star Wars. Bahaha. A man can dream...😂
@@DSOImager exactly, good call
It fills some gaps ... It's a fun series....
It's an absolute "must." She should also watch Rogue One, which I think she will REALLY enjoy.
Coby
Cute one that you have described, Jake Lloyd quit acting after Phanton Menace because he was bullied at school plus harassing by the press.
Pleeaase watch/release the final movie asap!🙏🏼 haha it’s really fun watching these with you I will say. The last one is a RIDE, it’ll be so much fun!

1:01:39 "Size doesn't matter." 😏 It's not the size of the Jedi/lightsaber, but the mastery of the Force within.
Clone Troopers....not Stormtroopers. :)
Ani falls to the Dark Side in this movie, while he becomes Lord Vader in the next one. Oh and you got it in one, he becomes Vader because of Padme. Good job on that one, and a few other ones. Most do not this early.
Also, R2-D2 is Padme's droid and C-3P0 became Anakin's after his mother died. When they got married they exchanged droids as well as vows. :)
Coby loving the Younglings made me go "Oh boy" 😰.
Glad you got so much out of this. People rag on Clones, and it's a mystery to me why. Outside of the scenes with Padme and Anakin together, it's a really solid film.
But now you're up for the MAIN EVENT next...
"Its like lake como" good observation, they filmed that scene there😁
