It's hard to believe how Fromsoft can release such masterpieces time and time again. They haven't missed in over 10 years. Every time they release a game, it's one of the best in its year. Elden Ring is going to bring From another GOTY award. This looks like everything I could have asked for and more.
And how it even blew away the hype... first fromsoftware game.. 100%'d it. Seriously THE best open world game I have ever played. I CANNOT WAIT for the dlc. Now absolutely buying Armored Core 6 just because i know the devs are the best in the industry
I have a passion for games, especially RPG games, I'm a huge elderscrolls fan, and I've never even touched a souls games, I haven't had a console or any interest in gaming in the last 2 years especially since the disappointment of cyberpunk (cold war zombies been fun) Not only do I believe eldenring will shit on Skyrim, but I've already pre ordered it, ordered a ps4, and am hyped like I was when I pre ordered Skyrim, it's been years since I felt this and I'm not even a souls fan, this all happened to me after looking into elden ring for about 30 minutes yesterday.

@@Bruceisthemask I too am a diehard Elderscrolls fan. Played all the souls games however, laughably, didn't complete any one of them. Got older and lost the time i needed. Elden ring is so damn good though. It's hard don't get me wrong, but there's things you can do to progress faster, whereas the other souls games would require a grind. Ngl though, DS1 had some nice little cheaty ways to get xp.
I think it's mixing Sekiro and Dark Souls 3 weapon art combat. Weapon arts will be permanently learned (confirmed I think) and addable to any weapon. And more like Sekiro, you can stop attacking and go right into a block, and successfully blocking will increase the speed of your counter attack, should you choose to. Hopefully this means no more R1 spam. It should make PVP much more versatile.
I have yet to play this game. Is it really that good? I tend to not like games that are overly difficult and take hrs to beat a boss.. But the graphics look like nothing Ive ever seen before?
I can honestly tell you that after playing 300+hours, yes. It's really that good. And these games can also be really challenging, especially to newcomers! But the difference between Elden Ring and all the previous FromSoftware titles is that Elden Ring is an Open World game. If you're stuck in previous titles on a boss, that's it. You're stuck. It's very linear progression. In this game, if you're stuck or you're struggling with a boss you can just leave and explore the world and the world is HUGE. You can upgrade weapons, find items, level your stats, etcetc. Sometimes it feels really good beating a really hard boss by trying over and over again, but you don't have to play that way. You can leave, come back later and literally 5shot most of the bosses due to this games progression. Highly recommended!
