HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!
Just love the respect you have for every culture and how down to earth and humble you are awesome that you have learned the language to personally connect with the locals! Your just an awesome dude! And my girlfriend is going to buy me a Tai Hao t-shirt, can't wait to wear a genuine Trevor James t-shirt!👍
Technically the language is Tibetan, he's only learned how to say hello or good prayers. Mandarin is just an intermediary language, like using English in Europe.
Your video is not only about food..we learn their culture, tradition and their society. we love it bro please continue and contribute with different state food and culture for better future respect and understanding.
Amazing video again, man! I lived and traveled around China for the past 2 years, you're definitely doing China right! Sichuanese food is absolutely amazing! Me and my bro just explored the ruins of an old Portuguese castle for our vlog 😁
The Tibetan food was fascinating! Especially all the Yak meat, it was so interesting and that man who was explaining the food over breakfast was sweet. I love when the locals interact with you and try and explain their food and culture. I would be too shy and awkward, but you bring such a vibrancy its such a joy to watch you. Love your videos!
These videos are amazing, as an American, it is fascinating watching your travels and your interactions with the Chinese people. It really helps to breakdown our misconceptions of the Chinese culture. Thanks for sharing this wonderful world.
No kidding Andrew Zimmern does food just like this except I feel food rangers actually does more and goes through more food in less time and Trevor just has an awesome personality that is likeable.
Trevor, thanks for allowing us to discover this amazing part of the word & try these very exotic and (often) tasty meals. I truly appreciate your kindness & genuine enthusiasm with each person you meet. You bring honor to Canada & to the Western world in your humble, grateful and radiant attitude. Gr8 trevor... u really add a beautiful touch to whatever food u eat.... its the way u eat and explain that makes the food look even more tastier... a big like from my side
I just realized that one of the reasons I enjoy your videos is because of the interactions with the locals. Especially awesome is your approach and praise of those who make the food. Very polite and appreciative even if the meal wasn't the best. Cheers!
I always appreciate your videos, i like that you speak english in a way that anyone can understand, and i also like that you speak Chinese as well! Youre also so respectful about other cultures, so thank you! ❤
Trevor it's been an absolute joy watching you and your channel grow, you have nearly perfected yourself and can i just say you have opened my eyes up to how lovely people are all across the globe You are such an inspiration.
He wasn't being hit on. Tibetans are just especially friendly towards foreigners and there's no real reservations with physical contact. They'll grab your hand and hold it while having a conversation with you. It takes a little while to get used to at first, but it's super common.
i'm buddhist and will never get to the heart of tibet , but you brought me to the streets. great photographs and dialogue . all the food is so interesting and beautiful. thanks for the exploration. i don't know anyone who does what you do--great.
I’m from Beijing and have been to most place of China in ur video. You are a truly lover of foods! You go really deep in China. We Chinese believe that food and life are linked together tight. Hope u can not only show the world great foodz, also true Chinese life. U will be a hero of brake the bias of western to China!
yan Vincent, nin hao, mr Yan, we French also believe food and life are linked, it's a shame american junk food is removing our youth from this, ancient staples are starting to disappear, the young americanised think eating snout to tail disgusting, boar and rabbit and horse is all but gone, they eat in five minutes when we have allways eaten lunch over2hrs.. i hope this never happens in China.
Chinese cultural revolution was all western media biased reporting...Not a single drop of blood was spilled during the revolution it was peaceful to the grave.
Been a fan for a while now. When I’m on break at work I check every day to see if a new video is uploaded!!!! Thanks for such good quality good videos @thefoodranger TAI HAO LE!!!!!

Man, you are definitely not running out of material! If anything, your channel, similar channels seem to be breezing through interesting stuff very quickly. I don't think you NEED to go to other countries (someone should) with your personal approach, it looks like there could be many long episodes on just one market or one obscure town, a year's programming on the Tea Horse Road, which I never heard of previously. And now Yunnan style, ?? Yunnan / Tibetan style? I hope China in general realizes what an amazing treasure has been created by history there, and not do as we in the US, make all the food in the country into one generic thing!
