Great video! I bought my CRF250L about two months ago and its a great bike. It was not an easy bike to find! Sold out everywhere. Thanks for all the videos and happy riding out there.

I bought the same setup from rotopax.. excellent. I have saved the day many times for fello riders who have run low on gas.

@@WOODZMAN I bought the same kit, except went with the standard mounting bracket versus deluxe. Love it. Very well constructed. Most of the time, I just run the rack with my Nelson Riggs bag, but when I take my ADV trips, I slap on the bracket, put on the fuel tank, then put the Nelson Riggs bag on top of the tank, and ride on. Hopefully, you didn't cut your straps too short on your bag...I remember you doing that.
Also, how you mounted the tank at the end of the video is what I do and what I would recommend...having the cap facing to the rear, and on the left side...the non-pipe side.
Yea someone mentioned that, I told them just flip the can so the outlet is on the other side lol.
I am going to do the same thing, I don’t need it on all the time but when I take a trip I can install it. It’s easy to get to the bolts
I have that same rack and Roto PAC from CRF’s only for my 2020. Haven’t used it yet. By the time I run a full tank out I’m exhausted and done for the day. It will come in handy when I do some longer rides.I do carry the 30oz. MSR fuel bottle in my Nelson Rigg tail bag though. Great video!

You could get two more bottom bolts in all thread/headless and hole drill them from the side and use spring pins to hold the bracket down. Once you tighten the extra tank down it should be secure without vibration. Nice looking bike, I'm planning on buying one before 2021 ends.

Would've been nice to have last week when my two brothers and I rode our CRF250Ls on a long OHV trail near Wilcox, AZ. We barely had enough gas to make it back to our trucks.

Well mine didn’t work because I had shorted my straps and not the won’t reach lol. I will figure something out!
Been torn for over year now as to whether to put a 3+gal. tank on or the Roto. I have the Wolfman tail bag and thought it might not fit on top or look funny.
Yea mine fits but not great because the rotopax mount sticks up thru the tank so the tank is not flat on top. I think the standard rotopax mount may not stick up above the tanks and be a better flat surface for the tail pack. Otherwise it’s not bad and don’t look to bad.

I never had an FMF on this 2018. I had the FMF on my 2014, I changed it back to stock because I couldn’t stand the noise.

That gas cap better not leak being next to muffler...how's the quality control on that mechanism?
Well it is not supposed to leak but it can me turned over and located on the other side also.
Note to self ....do not remove spark arrestor from muffler!
