I'm becoming concerned about this "tab" you speak of. ~RF9
I like the idea that you two do not communicate or see each other at all in any capacity until you see the other post. Only to find out the other person talked mad shit.
LOL!!!!! Ryan still contributes, even when he's not....
rayyyyyyynnnnnnnnnnnn
Isn't "tab" old London for "doobie"? 😊
@@jamesallen4050 Think Bar Tab. No idea what London does...
I really appreciate this change. In recent years Ryan made very few actual gear reviews, despite pumping out awesome content. While 43 isn't Ryan, he's still a good host. These new videos really fill a hole with this new more frequent upload schedule, while the overall quality hasn't dropped. Actually, it has gone up constantly.
Glad your holes are being filled
I absolutely agree, it's let's Ryan make the high production creative videos while letting 43 make old school gear videos, it's the best of both worlds
And this also give us the hope of Top Gear style content in the future where we will perhaps be able to see Ryan and 43 compete for who's the better racer on dirt/track or who's better at buying a cheap bike etc. etc
They’re short, concise and to the point. A lot of channels compromise quality when they change their style, upload frequency or add a new member but F9 has kept consistent quality. I would love love to see them become the Donut Media of bikes in terms of new members. I’m not talking about quality because I know a lot of people find them corny but their business structure seems future proof.
Couldn't have said it better.
I honest can’t imagine a better addition to the Fortnine team than 43. His delivery is always on point and the dedication to getting a matching tan Aerostitch suit does not go unnoticed! Keep up the great work 43 🤘🏼
The tan Aerostitch is *choice*
I really like this new guy. And if they help the channel have an easier time making more videos, then I'm all here for it. He's obviously not Ryan, so people shouldn't expect an exact emulation of Ryan's style. Good video!
He's no exactly Ryan, be he still is very good and on the same level, if you can say so. I really like him, he's cool
He's not as dynamic though, which calls for a different presentation style. Perhaps more smartass snarky quips or such. Find a video by Perun to hear how he can make entertaining an hour-long slideshow about modern military developments.
@@doujinflip Hello, fellow Perun enjoyer!
Plus u don't wanna bite someone else style
What did we do to deserve this spike in content from FortNine... It's glorious
they found a good second host
I can only watch Ryan F9
gave em one and a half mil in subs we did
Competition?
Ah, how bout cheaper prices or, more laughs!
I like this guy, he has similar humor to Ryan while bringing in his own individuality. I’m glad we’ll be getting more F9 content because of this
Couldn’t agree more!
The humor is similar because the script writer is the same.
@@devakritbagchi2787 ha! You beat me to it 😮😊
All true PLUS the coverage is truly NEWS you can USE. Factual, and also mindful of actual use cases, I mean: how a rider would actually use the thingamajig.
I've been doing these mods with tanks for years. One lesson learned. Don't use plastic Y- pieces or PVC plastic lines. Use metal fittings and PROPER braided fuel hose for life long reliability 😊
having this guy to do the kind of gear reviews Ryan used to do more often is a really good addition. guy's great on camera
Meanwhile in the developing world... I've got a laundry detergent bottle full of gas strapped to the rack with a bungee cord. Safety first!
I splurged when I did it... I bought a detergent with a bottle that I liked, and threw away the detergent. $4.5 for 1 L premium detergent bottle
Ahhh of course we use glass liter coke bottles to measure and store gas in remote areas. Sure it's highly dangerous but hey at least i can see the gas
Detergent bottles eh? Resist degradation from the fuel? Typically sturdy too. Hmmm.
And a helmet mounted to the front handlebars as a bumper!
Motor oil container will resist fuel and you don't have to buy the detergent and then throw it away in the river.
wheres ryan and what did you do to him
They are probably expanding a bit
lets stop that right now and support FORTNINE as a whole ? i like this guy too
@@TeznaGFX I agree but can we at least know what’s going on?
@@motogibronius this guy has been on this channel for 3 months already
@@motogibronius they announced the expansion a while ago :)
No fluff, concise, still good explanation when necessary, always time for a quick joke or two. Great channel.
im glad to see the DR getting some love on this channel
I’m so stoked on the growth for F9! So many of us have been coming here for years and years of riding advice and inspiration. You’re doing a great thing. Cheers guys!
i know how to refill my bike in 25 countries, they have gas stations!
@@Arltratlo Me too! And yet I can show you a few routes across Nevada (dirt) where you'll need more than 275 miles of gas. Unless you want to waste half a day going out of your way to the gas station- every day.
@@tomfogle9607
nice, thx you want to show me that, but my interests are more with old buildings, if there isnt a cathedral or a old castle to see, i am not interested to drive there!
btw: what is 275 miles???
@@Arltratlo about 2.5 million bananas
My bike has a nearly 5 gallon tank. I still ran out and was on the side of the highway tipping my bike all the way over to get gas from the one side to the petcock side. That got me a few miles. Stopped and did it again. A cyclist stopped and offered me a red can of cooking fuel. Some kind of ethanol or something. Said it worked for a temporary gas substitute. And it did. It got me another few miles to the gas station. Thanks buddy!
Really good to see DR650 represented on this channel. Great bomb-proof bike. Personally, I'm in the "lose the 90's graphics, put on a larger main tank" camp.
I like the new guy. Good tone and delivery. Ryan is a bit more charismatic, but other than that i see no real difference. He's a welcomed addition especially if we're getting videos more often because of him. Great job new guy. Keep it up
Your reference to the Whole Foods parking lot is astute, to say the least. You and Ryan have wickedly dry humor, and I love it. Keep up the great work!
And the obligatory unused fold up shovel and traction boards.
I laughed at that cause it's true. Even if they do go off road, why do they need all that stuff and a rooftop tent every day?
I always find it hilarious when I see a brand new big ass sparkly Chevy Suburban in a Walmart parking lot and a lady jumps out that look like she had a full day at the beauty spa.
The writing for this video was on point
Adventure bikes migrate to Starbucks while Overland vehicles graze at Whole Foods. It is nature's way.
Lovin this guy! "Ditch the 90s graphics!? No!!" Had me rolling. 🤣🤣🤣
I like this guy. Seems like he's adjusting to being the only one on camera really quick
You had me at “rad ass 90s graphics”. Long live the DR!
Loving these new "quick tips / reviews" videos.
F9 has more than earned our trust at this point so these reviews are definitely welcomed
I think we all love Giant Loop holes.
I was concerned at first, but this new guy is actually doing a good job.
The only UA-cam channel that has never disappointed
Hey thanks for the shout out!
"Giant Loophole" LOL
If you give us more F9 videos and they stay at this level of quality then I'm perfectly okay with not having Ryan in a video. As long as he's still around making videos, of course, because he'll always have my heart ❤
It sounds like he's still doing the writing (or someone is very good at imitating his humor), but seems like bit more of a directorial (perhaps dictatorial) role rather than in front of camera role.
It's the same team, isn't it?
A few more videos in front of the camera...43 will be great.
The humour I know and love from Fortnine is still there, so that's good enough in my book.
New Guy is an appropriate name for such a handsome, well-taught, and entertaining new guy.
Great job, keeping the animation on par with what we are used to was not an easy task!
I like the additional crew. Ryan is the OG, but this new guy did a great job. I like the direction this is going, as it gives us the best of both worlds.
OMG these DR650 apperances are GOLD!!!!
Whoever writes the text... Well done. I was laughing all the way while getting good info.
My Trail 90 came from the factory with a nice metal aux fuel can, which is still being used, over 50 years later. The Rotopax wish that they could be that good.
Dang, I'd forgotten about those. They sort of look like a canteen. Came out the year after mine I think.
Keep releasing this often!!!
I thoroughly enjoy the whole F9 package; the people, the content and production quality. #43 I’m sorry some are slagging you. Keep up the good work, we’re with you. #43 is a good number, adding to the heritage of Number Six and 007.
F9 makes a vid on the exact topic I had just become curious about. Now that's magical.
Nice to see more Fortnine content and nice to see new faces. Don't worry, we still love you Ryan
Racing go cart tanks are ready vented/plumbed and come in various shapes and sizes with different mounting options for the low cost option.
I use the same fuel bottle/pouch setup for my bike already and I'm very glad to learn about the Giant Loophole. The ~1l can works great when I'm on my sippy efficient dirt bike but does jack when I'm trying to cross abandoned Texas plains on my inefficient-but-fun 30mpg street bike. Definitely going to pick one of the GL pouches up for my next big trip.
I love the vibe of this guy. He's the A Team's Murdock we all needed this 2023.
Look, nobody likes change. I'm as big a fan of Ryan and his vids, as anyone. I've been watching his stuff for years! But, I have really missed the gear reviews as Ryan and his production team have moved into more shall we say... dramatic movie making. Having said all that, I like this new guy. I think he's quirky and funny and delivers an informative review of gear without making it boring... much the way Ryan did for many years. Thank you Fortnine!
That last option was real creative, but the bottle and pouch are definitely the best for any bike. Nice one Connor
No complaints here… content is still best on UA-cam.
I love this new guy and especially his DR 650🙌
First bike I bought and the only one I never sold!
Love the giant loop hole. Currently using a Rotopax but now want the Giant loop.
Motorcycle content we never knew we wanted!!!👍👍👍
I think this other host is a great fit, really informing with no BS
50% Content, 50% Presenter. I like this guy and the content hasn't changed, well done. That grin on synching down your gear, LoL you pass the pub test. Also the first guy to correctly pronounce Acerbis, well closer than others.
To those saying it is ryans channel, It is fortnine's channel. Ryan is just an employee who makes video's for their youtube channel (and is so good at it that it is better then almost all pure entertainment motochannels) besides, i dont think ryan is going away. I suspect this new host will make the shorter lifehacks videos and maby gear reviews and that ryan will make the longer high effort videos. Having 2 hosts means more vids for us so be happy!!!. (Making a communitypost clearing things up would be nice though)
they made a whole video explaining the situation a while back
@@alexanderhubben2849 Could i get a link please? Thank you!
@@alexanderhubben2849 yeah, i saw that right after making this comment but it is 'hidden' in a normal video and can be hard to remember if you watched it a long time ago
I love these type of vids
I went with the individual fuel bottles, so this evaluation was good to see. They allow you to distribute your aux fuel weight as well, and they are easy to pack without a specialized solution. Besides the N&R sacks featured, those standard .9L MSR/Primus/etc fuel bottle also fit perfectly into one of those larger Agri-tubes we all like; with room for a rolled ring of shop towel as vibration support in the cap. If you use an unleaded-fuel burning stove, you will also have plenty of fuel to burn. 👉🏼And great job new/additional guy!
ryan wrote the script. can't wait to see this guys delivery begin to match that of our blessed ryanf9!
Fortnine is really spoiling us with all these videos!
I am pumped for all the new f9 content, Ryan or otherwise! I'm glad there's more people on board pumping out great content
Every time I have a random motorcycle question, there is an in-depth F9 video on the topic with entertainment and information that is unchallenged.
always great when a UA-cam channel brings on another person and they are actually still great to watch and informative
This guy's great!
nice to see new face!
keep it up!
43 is killing it. Keep the content coming!
This is as successful a change of host and diversification of a media outlet as I've ever seen. TV, movie, radio… Whatever your flavor Ryan F9 did this correctly. Kudos to the new guy!
Loving the new, extra content. If the F9 team keeps growing with this kind of quality, I’ll keep watching. Great job!
Excellent video, informative and enjoyable and it didnt feel like you were trying to read Ryan's word while keeping true to the channel. Great work, looking forward to more content
I like how this channel is going, the new guy is good and there are more uploads while quality has not dropped at all. Keep on doin' it and thanks for every single video you put your effort on!
Another F9 host that scores 10/10. Rock on!
Very well-timed video for the summer season, I remember finding rotopax and thinking adv riding was a huge scam. Sometimes it is, but enough people have thought the same thing and fixed it.
Excellent video, thank's! I went over all these options and ended up getting a Bigger tank instead. IMS 12 liter translucent one for my CRF250L. Might get a gasbag for really long trips. Cheers from Sweden!
Smart and snarky. This guy's a good addition to the channel. Cheers!
I'm cool with the new dude as long as he doesn't do a video presentation with the same style as ryan, I want his style, if you catch my drift. So far they're high quality and fun to watch, nice job new dude
I have a small red msr metal bottle. Had it strapped to the ventura bag on my rsv4 for touring. It's only a quart... but it made a difference between pushing and riding to a station more than once.
This packed a ton of good info in a short video. Nice work. As long as Ryan's still around I have nothing against other hosts.
The extra fuel options I have tried have not worked very well so this video is very helpful. Keep the gear reviews coming.
I'm a fan of the Giant Loop Armadillo bag!
I've always said that I don't care about my fuel efficiency in terms of $/km, but I kinda do care about it due the reason that it affects my range for a given tank size. It's not that hard where I live to start getting a bit of range anxiety and worry that you won't make it to the next petrol station. Good to see the options that are out there for auxiliary fuel.
Pro tip: If you plug the fuel line from your self made tank in to the tank ventilation hose from a FI bike and make sure it's all sealed up, you can use the same method to extend the range of the FI bike.
Proof: the Touratech 20L aux tank for the F800GS/GSA.
lol the puppy. You sold me when you sinched up the "puppy".
Short, informative, and funny; this is all I need from the internet today. Thank you.
Just be careful if you ever have to get on a BC Ferry. They're keen on approved fuel storage.
Good point, they can be anal about that. Keep fuel containers out of sight.
Am I interested in carrying auxiliary fuel? No.
Am I ever going to ride off road? Also no.
Did I still very happily watch the whole video because the content is always interesting, informative and entertaining? Of course!!!
Excellent, as always, FortNine.
I am all for these short videos, cool guy and hey, why not support taking the channel even further up on a new level.
I like this replacement Ryan F9, he keeps the feel of the channel while still bringing his own personality. Its very difficult to find a substitute for a presenter (look at new top gear) so hats off good sir!
This guys great, as much as I love Ryan I'm all for this sort of content. Nice one lads.
I've been using various size RotopaX tanks for years now on both ATV's and motorcycles. At first I really disliked them because of the EPA spout however I replaced them with a different type (RX-SP-VENT) and I couldn't be happier. I fill them up in town and place them in the car and you can't detect a hint of fuel odor in the vehicle at all. I rate them 5 stars.
If you want to go smaller, I've been having really good experiences with the large size Seafoam cans.
I didn't even know they made that size, saw it sitting on top of the trash can at the auto parts store and gave it a shot. Fits right in my CamelBak and gives me about 50% more than my bike's "reserve" switch.
Great job rockin the Aerosmith suit. Love it.
“I don’t have a gas gauge and I get lost a lot.” 😂 Fits me to a T. Great rundown!
New guy is definitely growing on me. This is F9 quality and the uptick in release schedule is much appreciated. Nice to see some gear review and shorter videos as well. Still hope you'll do something like the Ishmael video again, that was what reeled me into this channel.
Enjoyed the video, well done. Fuel tank size is an issue, isn’t a pain with manufacturers trying to beat each other on weight and ditching fuel is one way to do it - at the expense of usability. Best mod I’ve made on my Yamaha R1M, an endurance tank from Beater of Japan. Yes it cost more than my first motorbike, but life is too short to spend time at petrol stations.
Completely agree! Great point! That's great you bought an endurance tank 👍
I love 43's videos. Keep them coming.
So glad to see this subject addressed. I'm planning trips and the knowledge saves me money.
What's that headlight frame and windshield kit called? Looks awesome!
For those who use rotopax and hate the safety filler: rotopax wants me to tell you that they absolutely disapprove of you using the water spout on a gas can, despite it working perfectly.
This is appreciated. More content with the same keen to detail and integrity is always a plus.
I love that he showed the different tanks with an older bike!! I have a1986 Yamaha xt350 & a xt600 and they are still awesome for how old they are
Thanks for the Videos
Thought about rotopax for giving my WR250r extra distance (aside from the 3.0 gal IMS tank), but the giant loop bag and that bottle method seem to be good alternatives. Thanks!
The whole time I’m thinkin “hmm I might need one of these” then I remember I have a 5 gallon tank on my Goldwing that doesn’t go any where that there isn’t fuel readily available
Great addition! You guys are really what I consider (and that is not an insult) the Top Gear (Clarkson, Hammond, May) of the Motorbike video world. Hope you will be able to keep on going with these videos.
This new guy is great!!! Good job hiring him!! And he gets bonus points for not being afraid of carburetors. Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.
It always makes me laugh that Americans are trusted to own assault rifles, but can't be trusted to not spill gas 😂
We cant own assault rifles
WHO ARE YOU, ATLEAST INTRODUCE YOURSELF LMAO. -edit: good job tho :)
I like the auxiliary tanks that are designed for the specific bike that fit under the seat. Somewhere inside where it was just empty space.
This guy is a good addition to the channel
