The whole Project Nova mission was just one big sequel to World At War. Everything from the weapons, music, and of course Petrenko himself the main character of the Soviet campaign is all pulled from World At War. Such a shame what happened to Petrenko a mute protagonist who was the players eyes and ears throughout WAW and experienced an awful fate just after the end of the war.
That’s in my honest opinion was one of the saddest deaths in any cod game ever. Like reznov said he was a hero who survived from Stalingrad to Berlin just to die like a rat in a cage in the middle of nowhere .
Also: at 1:34:02 that’s a SR-71 Blackbird, which was introduced in 1966 and could fly up to 85,000 feet and over 2200MPH. It was retired in 1999 but has an impressive track record in terms of usage and engineering
Gary Oldman the GOAT. Dmitri Petrenko is one of the protagonists in World at War. Once you play that campaign, you'll see why his death in "Project Nova" created such hatred for Dragovich from players. There's implications for the numbers when you get to Mason's monologue in the credits...
Before you move on to Black Ops 2, I recommend you play the prequel World at War just so that you can understand Reznov and Petrenko(your partner and your Soviet character from World at War). Also you will get to play the Americans from the Marine Raiders/Marines as well and the Blackcats. And if you want to you can play Cold at War after this and Black Ops 2 for chronologically order or, Black Ops 2 and then Cold at War for the year when the games were released- 2012 and 2020.

The music that plays in the Numbers mission is so good, they used it during the Cold War Reveal in Warzone way back in 2020 and it matched the tone of the game perfectly
there is nothing like spawn trapping radiation, firing range, summit, nuketown, discovery, crisis and jungle. truly times i will never forget and can always cherish and smile for. famas and galil are timeless. also, best combat record in any game ever made. W bo1.

Its a weird visual glitch with the lighting in the game and the silhouettes, never did that on ps3 but it always does for me on ps4, the interrogator tho is supposed to be a silhouette that was all intentional

Afaik grenades tend to fragment ("Frag Grenade" / Fragmentation), the explosion launches the rest of the grenade like projectiles which is what kills people. It won't be blowing up buildings.

Some served their country out of pride or as a soldier trying to do their duty or enlisted out of obligation or fear. Most of them fell in this category (the four options listed previously.). I don't have exact numbers on this but only a fraction (Though a sizeable one.) of the total amount of German forces were in the Nazi Party. They were German soldiers of the "SS" Most of which were zealots of the cause and handpicked to be a part of their "Grander" design for the future of their country. But it's easy to understand at that time amongst the Allies that they painted them all with the same brush. As they don't exactly have the resources to investigate each and every soldier. It was what it was. Nazi Party DEFINITELY bad and fuck them. But many of the German forces weren't Nazis.
Now that you've finished the game, did you noticed swift asking what the fuck was wrong with you in the caves? Because you were talking to reznov, who wasn't actually there?
Don't worry too much about the cutscene skip during WMD. Activision likes to fuck up their games when they port it to different platforms. Swift losing his textures and the cutscene skip, I also think some of the voice lines for the npc deaths are a little messed up.
Have you considered playing World at War after this? BO1 is technically a sequel, but they're only loosely tied together. Playing BO1 first honestly might even enhance WaW a little bit.
Random thought to comment but for another game id reccomend, id say the Crysis triology, but the Remaster versions,,considering they should work better on modern systems. Have fun.
I wouldn’t blame your aim considering you are playing with a huge disadvantage using a controller on PC. Some older CoD had no aim assist on PC whatsoever, Black Ops being one of them. Unfortunately I don’t think there exists a way to mod it in either. I do hope you are still enjoying the game!

Some soldiers did make the decision to do what they do and hurt innocent people, just look at what the russians did to women and children in Bucha, Irpin, Mariupol in the current Ukraine war. Those war crimes were not ordered by Putin, or generals. They don't micro-manage every soldier. Those were done by squad leaders and their troops. You don't need war films to get a decent picture, when there is footage here on YT of the real war. How things feel is different from what they actually are.

God playing as Dimitri for so long and then seeing that he didn’t get a somewhat happy ending was heartbreaking
