I came home every day after school and I would sit in front of my TV for hours on airplane this game black ops one and two will always be my top. There is no other game like this one. I grew up playing all of the call of duties and black ops two always be my number one such fond childhood memories!
You seemed to enjoy the Strickforce mission, halo has a pretty fun series called halo wars thats similar. Plus the cutscenes in halo wars 2 are really good
I love this campaign more than any other CoD campaign that I've played. The branching storyline sets it apart from anything else plus the loadout system really does increase its replayability by a lot.
Pay very close attention to the story of this campaign. Trust me. Out of all the CoD campaigns, you could mess this up pretty badly if you're not listening. No spoilers tho
This was the last CoD game I played, so while I can't say it's the best in the series, it's definitely the best of CoD games I've played, which was CoD (2003) - CoD BO2 (2012). The campaign in BO2 is great in terms of story, characters, gameplay, and they even added some choices, different endings, and optional missions stuff that CoD didn't have before.
Fun fact: Jack Wall, the composer for this game, also composed the music for Mass Effect 1 & 2. You can really hear that influence in the more futuristic sections set in 2025, especially in the main menu and other sci-fi-inspired moments. The soundtrack always reminds me of XCOM: Enemy Unknown, composed by Michael McCann, who also worked on Deus Ex: Human Revolution. They all capture the futuristic atmosphere of the games while weaving in some timeless sounds inspired by electric soundtracks of the 70s to 80s. Side note. I highly recommend XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the channel, amazing games. It’s interesting that this is your first "modern" Call of Duty game, most people start with Modern Warfare, but you could say Black Ops 2 is more futuristic, set over a decade ahead of 2012 when the game released. Hopefully, you’ll get a chance to play through the Modern Warfare series, too. It’s an incredible trilogy and, in my opinion, the best in the Call of Duty franchise, though Black Ops is also fantastic. Modern Warfare 2 (2009) remains my all-time favorite in the series; nothing has quite matched it yet. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) also marked a new era for both the series and gaming as a whole, and it features one of my favorite storylines. Each Call of Duty game has something to offer. Including one off titles like Ghosts, Advance Warfare, and Infinity Warfare.
Yeah Jack Wall has also been doing some tracks on BO6! Such a great composer. Also this isn't my first COD series, I played the original Modern Warfare trilogy when I was a teenager :)
to me the best campaign stories for me as from cod was cod waw that was the most insane one yet when you learn that they used real war footage instead of fake footage and stuff in that game

The irony is a lot of this is pretty accurate for the “futuristic” part. Not the technology obviously, but the geopolitics (tensions with China, them cozying up to Russia, Iran, and North Korea, etc.)
in black ops 1 theres a computer behind you with a lot of secret story you can access, in there it says woods was recovering but hudson didnt mention it because it wouldve made things too complicated, theres a lot more in there but a lot of it has been sorta written out of the story
Go to the right side of the drug den while in the burning room and on the desk is a file labeled CIA, you get that file it'll help you and use the access kit to get extras on each level.
Kravchenko didn’t die. Woods explains it early on. They were both knocked out after Woods takes him down at the end of bo1 but Kravchenko wakes up first and throws Woods into a POW camp in Vietnam
I have been absolutely loving these cod playthroughs, it's so nostalgic! definitely play cold war next and then bo6, that's perfect! also, if you love the futuristic stuff hopefully someday you'll play Advanced Warfare's campaign, it came out 2 years after bo2 and is set in the 2040s in the same universe as the canon black ops and modern warfare timeline :) can't wait for more videos from you, I just followed you on Twitch!

@lucyjrobyn I think you would really like it :) it kind of has a modern warfare vibe but it's futuristic like bo2, tons of unique missions and stuff, it is a bit overlooked compared to the MW/BO titles but it was the new cod back in 2014 when I got my PS4 (I was like 13) and the game I started UA-cam with so I absolutely love it, I didn't know anything about it either so it blew me away, very Michael Bay lmaoo

First the little robot dog dies then its the horse that dies, yeah it's kinda best to not get too attached to anything that isn't a major character in this game.
havent played this game since it was released but u should make use of the loadout feature i usually swap the pistol for a sniper or a shotgun i think u might need to unlock it first cant recall no spoilers but in time and fate theres a reason why the objective was incomplete thats brought up later in the story take ur time and search the bunker
like Alex and David father and son the Crosby character had a dad on the mission in Hue city in black ops 1 were Reznov returns and in the basement of Menendez compound you missed some importin intelligence

I know I trashed the new black ops game, BO6 and it mainly had to do with the campaign. As some other content creators have pointed out, it just doesn’t feel at all like a COD game. You’ll see when you play it. The multiplayer side in BO6 however is pretty good I’ll give it that.
⚠️Potential spoiler BO6 BO6 gives me Mission Impossible and James Bond vibes. I haven't played but watched on UA-cam and I think the game seems very good. But of course maybe a fan of COD doesn’t appreciate those vibes.

So the first strike mission is the worst one, I recommend playing a second just in case you might like them. And if you like them I suggest doing them. Also, what are playing on? Because on all platforms except pc I've played on, And i've never had trouble with the camera zooming back in right after zooming out. And it happened too often for it to be a one off bug, were you holding it or panick pressing it twice? Also, please pay attention in the mission Fallen angel. That's all I'll say.

And today I were alone In the forest, In darkness. I were scared because the place Is... So I prayed and felt this sensation all over my body, I felt such great peace. I don't believe It was a psyche thing. It was super real.
For strikeforce missions, They suck and you don't need to do them but they have impact on the story and ending. You have to do them if you want the good ending.

Black Ops 2 was one GODLIKE Call of Duty. Easily one of the best Call of Duty games in the classic Golden Era.

@@Boaris_Johnson Oh my bad. I heard that BO4 doesn't have a traditional campaign and isn't linked to this whole storyline. And that BO3 is set far in the future with not much linked to this storyline. So I'd rather do Cold War then BO6 if they're all a bit more connected.
