@@samuelching3747 ok first of all he should have put a fruity soft clipper at the bottom of the master channel rack, a fruity soft clipper is a stock plugin that gives you more of a true sound to what you had previously without it, it also makes all your drums hit ten time's harder. next I noticed his hihats where to loud and where over powering the beat, hihats need to always be lower than the kick, clap, snare and 808. next thing I noticed is that his open hat's where waaaay to low, open hat's need to be a little under your hihat. Next thing I noticed is that his kick and 808 did not have enough sidechain, sidechain helps your kick and 808 mix while together, if your 808 is overpowering your kick then you don't have enough sidechain on the 808. Next is thing was the second snare I noticed it wasn't loud enough to compliment the main snare, secondary snares need to be lower that the main snare but louder than you hihat and open hat. Last thing is his main melody wasn't loud enough, if your going to have a second melody that's loud than you always need to make the main melody just as loud as the second one so they compliment each other well and sometimes your second melody will need to be lower than the main one just so the second melody won't over powering the first one, just depends on the sounds you pick. And if you have a fruity limiter on the bottom of your master channel rack take it off and replace it with a fruity soft clipper. That's about it, after all that you should be ready to master ;) Edit: oh one more thing, your 808 doesn't need to be overpowering your melody.
@@hikarinotenshi3341 well i see you don't know anything about mixing if you think slapping a soft clipper on the master is what actual professional studio engineers do while mixing
when the beat renders fl normalizes it back to 0dB (however itll sound very distorted and muddy), so the engineer will make it quieter to give the artist room to rap on it tldr: they turn down the volume after the beat's rendered out
Adam thank you , I was wondering I’ve seen people make beats with just stem files though maybe it was for better quality , than just exporting it straight from the actual pattern layout
