I have to share. I was in the pediatric ER early Friday evening until late Sat morning with my son, who fell, smashing his head on concrete, with concussion and concerns he seriously harmed his neck. For hours we were in a room with no help at all, with him in a very uncomfortable collar. Thinking about your videos, I have never been so patient in an ER. I was more aware of what all the doctors were doing. I could hear other cases, including a case were a toddler probably didn't make it and had to be med-flighted to a bigger hospital. I was so tired and uncomfortable but just kept reminding my very impatient and grumpy son that we should be grateful he wasn't the priority because that would mean he was in the most danger. Normally with something medical with my kids, I panic and get very impatient. Thinking of your vlogs, I had no impatience at all.
I know youll go far. This world needs OB/GYNs like you. Ive had 2 in my 60+ yrs and i miss and appreciate both of them. God bless you richly. He definitely had a special call for you...and you answered it.
I'm an MS3 and will be applying to OBGYN in the fall and I love your videos. It's helpful to see how things are because soon it will be my life. You are doing a great job! You've got this.
Your videos bring mixed emotions. It's a love/hate thing. My match day was 38 yrs ago and I'm now retired, but these videos take me back to my intern year, very long hours, and the long dark days of January it seemed there would be no end. The angst comes right back, not as intensely, but in both good and not-so-good ways, internship/residency is a life-altering experience.

I’m working as a ob nurse resident at a teaching hospital and I feel like the first job after school emotional experience is so similar to resident doctors but I can’t believe how much more y’all work! It’s crazy! It’s really eye opening for me.

As a Finnish doctor I really feel for my U.S colleagues. It’s not normal to work 50+ hours per week not to mention the debt. Also, it should not be minimum wage it’s ridiculous. Anyways, love ur videos. Stay strong ❤!

hey I remembered you said that you were looking for suggestions for new vid ideas. I would love to see some of your hobbies (other than going to the gym) like maybe you have a signature dish and you could do a fun cooking video with your boyfriend or maybe you go out and try new hobbies like rock climbing or something. I love that lemon Alfredo from Trader Joe’s! Do you see any endometriosis these days in your residency? I’m about 6 weeks out from my diagnostic laparoscopy which finally gave me the diagnosis after over 10 years of advocating for myself. As a fellow healthcare provider, I love watching and hearing about your work! Next time I spend money on scrubs, I want to try Jannuu! Currently always wearing the scrubstar sets from scrubs and beyond, some straight leg and some jogger with v-neck tops.

Idk how true this is, but I heard about a study with WWII vets who had shell-shock (PTSD) and they found that knitting and mindfulness meditations had similar impacts on stress levels and blood pressure compared to a control. Again, I haven't read the study, but in my head, I believe it's true (as a fellow knitter, it makes me feel better about spending all my time knitting)

I really don't feel good 🥺😪 I'm depressed for 2 years trying to having a normal life all the time stressed , and straggling with self confidence issues I can't work or study actually I can't concentrate I don't remember what I've done yesterday it feels like a good brain foggy ideas and I'm getting worse and worse I'm 24 and 5 year medical student. I'm burned out I think I can't do the normal activities that I'm used to 4 years ago . I was active intelligent beautiful really smart now I dont feel like I'm the same person it's really weird and hard to live like this I don't feel good at all I feel weak strange , I'm all the time distracted I woke up exhausted I start my day late even when I want to start early I can't I'm procrastinating and procrastinating for days I swear not hours .. I tried many times to change I really need a reset for my life evertime I remember how my life was perfect I cry and get mad . I sit lonely in my room for days I lost motivation and energy and everything, I feel like I'm cold I mean I don't react like a normal person I had and exam and I was on the phone just scrolling and watching movie and I didn't revise anything it's been the same problem everytime last minute revision and can't concentrate and be far from the phone or sleep well or enjoy the little things I used to enjoy cleaning and feel satisfied after and watch movie after finishing everything or just talk with my family ...
Please please get some help both mentally and physically. Maybe you have a chemical imbalance that can be helped with medication. You are definitely withdrawing and need to get to the root of the issue. Best of luck. 🙏🏻🩷🙏🏻
as someone who occasionally naps their car during lunch break i find just laying across the back seats is far more comfortable than the seats down/legs in the trunk position (and also saves putting the seats up and down and also climbing in the trunk 😅 back seats>>>💯🥳❤

I do something called plastic canvas, it's basically the same idea as cross stitch, but use wool and a plastic canvas that's much bigger than cross stitch. Lol hope that makes sense 😊 it soothes the mind and ❤
EDIT: I had a sub total abdominal hysterectomy with right ovary and tube removed in 2015 because of endometriosis. 8 years later, the endo is worse than ever.
