It was all about accepting more visitors in from the west and allowing more western culture to intergrate in a strict muslim country. It is obvious to see that SA is slowly becoming more open like UAE, to invite more people into visit and have events. It is great to see.

I was there. It was an electric night. I saw Metallica live after a decade, and I must say, they sounded, looked, and felt a lot better. Historic night in Riyadh. A band that continues to inspire, connect, and heal!

Really, really cool to see they gave the Saudi metal heads a ride what with all the turmoil that's going on over there in the middle-east within driving distance. My thoughts and prayers to Lars My Dad passed away on 30th on November this year on the age of 60! I see my boys in their prime in their 60s and it is sad to see that some people die this young, but that is life, it is what it is... Keep on rocking my favorite band ! \m/
I’ve listened to this song for hundreds of times, but the lyrics always get me emotional. The same goes for Pt.2 and especially Pt.3. The chorus of this one is just so real and relatable to me, because I am a chronically depressed introvert who always had problems with expressing what I really feel. I’m an ExPat here but it’s amazing to see KSA’s journey. I hope they don’t lose some of the golden parts of their heritage along the way, but the country is changing rapidly and it’s often a joy to be here. The Soundstorm festival didn’t feel like normal Saudi… think I saw one guy in national dress.
I'm so happy that I got to be a part of this historical day in Saudi Arabia and I will forever remember how it felt, seeing them there live for the first time ever. Lars said in an interview 2 or 3 months ago that the 72S tour might keep on going by late 2024 and 2025. He spoke specifically about South America and Oceania but who knows where they could end up playing. After all, no one saw this late 2023 Saudi Arabia show coming, so Metallica playing in north Africa could also be a huge surprise, but definitively some legendary shows to witness. Just imagine Metallica playing "Mercyful Fate" (and more specifically the Curse of the Pharaoh part) just underneath the Sphinx! WHOA!!!!

Such professionals! Look at what Het does every night with multiple guitars and vocals and then you have people like Vince Meal and others out there posing on stage. These guys aren’t perfect but live music shouldn’t be. You hear every mistake just like you’re supposed to. They frikn bring it! So much respect for what these guys do on stage just keeping the music live.

Such professionals! Look at what Het does every night with multiple guitars and vocals and then you have people like Vince Meal and others out there posing on stage. These guys aren’t perfect but live music shouldn’t be. You hear every mistake just like you’re supposed to. They frikn bring it! So much respect for what these guys do on stage just keeping the music live.
