Thanks, I just ordered the lights and will be installing on my trim router as soon as it arrives. I'm going to be routing out designs and inlaying epoxy for my Goddaughter's pray kneeler. The additional lighting will aid in seeing what I'm doing.

I don't think I didn't know the fairy lights on your router were add-ons and I could always use better lighting when I'm routing. I ordered a box of 6 immediately after seeing this and they'll be here in 2 days. Thanks!

Any time, buddy! Thank you
Yeah I just went to hobby lobby and got some fairy lights and I was just curious how you put yours in and it was the way I was thinking you did with the ones I've got takes two double a batteries but I'll make sure thanks Eric.
Our pleasure, buddy!
Great information. Nice to learn something new.
Happy to help John. Thank you for watching!!!
Hello Eric those lights are cool I’m going to try them you guys stay safe 👍
Thank you Lloyd, I think you'll like um. Merry Christmas
Just looked on Amazon can’t find the Govee lights you’re showing, what a great idea
I think those got discontinued, because they're unavailable now. But if you search "Cool White" or "LED" fairy lights, there's a bunch of them that are available.
Hey Dave, just caught your fairy lights video and I would use velcro to attach the battery case so change out for the lights and battery would I think be easier. Just a thought. I bought some fairy lights but haven't mounted them any of my routers because I'm still using the snake lights and I wrapped the USB cord around the router cord and zip tied them together because I really don't like to have to change batteries just plug and play.
I have 12 routers and 4 of them are palm routers set up for sign carving 🙃👍
Sounds like you've got it figured out with a great system. Good for you.
Love those lights thanks for sharing
You're welcome Jon...
Great video, great idea. Great money saver. Kept me from buying all sorts of different lighting combos. I used a roll of 2" tape that fits inside my Makita router base as a circle template and then added 3 small zip ties to hold the circle, then hot glued them in place, gives a real neat assembly with great light. Thank you for the video
Thank you Michael, happy you enjoyed it. Sounds like you have a great set up...
Thank you so much! Super smart and helpful!
Any time👍👍👍
Thanks for the great tip. Happy Holidays.
Thank you Bob...
The sound is great in this one
You don’t sound like you’re in a different room like in some of your video
Ps. Love what you’ll are doing!!!

I was wondering how you set up your lights! Thanks so much!
Happy to help...
I put mine in yesterday.
Great to hear, I think you'll like 'um...
Hi Tracey, could you please supply the product code for these so I can look them up, Thanks 😁
another great idea for my new pc 450. tyvm 4 this
No problem, buddy! Glad we could help!
Always informative.
Thank you Bob...
That is an excellent idea.
Thank you Mark...
Thank you Eric for the info. It would be cool if the manufacturers would include more led lights on the router already or have an option to buy an accessory to transform to more led lights if one needs them. 🙏👍😎🎄
I agree that would be cool but remember most people don't do what we are doing with these routers so it may not make sense for the manufacturers to spend the time to do that.
another informative video
Thank you Bruce...
Great idea
Thank you Tim...
Thank you for the information. Going to give it a try
You're welcome Scott, happy to help...
Nice idea
Thank you Steve!!!
Good video thanks for sharing!
Thank you Glen...
Great video!
Thank you Greg...
I need to get me some fairy lights.
They work great...
Like the idea, does the fairy light interfere with a possible collar insert using your router base?
Our base plates are not made to use template guides, they're for freehand carving.
My OCD is wondering whether some sort of self-adhesive cable-clip pad might give a tidier finish than random gluegobs? Our son just bought a pack of them off Amazon for securing his phone charger cable in the car. I expect a search might bring up something suitable.
We did an update to this video. Guess what we changed to? Exactly what you are describing here's the link ua-cam.com/video/EXqT3NchUYY/v-deo.html Thank you
Now that I have to carve indoor instead of outside, I have to get more light in my router. I already have those lights from another project. I will be installing them in the next day or so. Thank you for the suggestions.
You're welcome Miss Pam, happy to help...
Great video. 1) are the ferry lights significantly more bright than the luminolites? 2) do the strands of lights impede the ability of the sawdust to escape at all?
Yes they are brighter and I haven't had any issues with them obstructing the exiting sawdust.
I when on that link but could not find those lights that you were talking about ?????
Sorry about that. Try this one www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKZWKW3?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzmakeawoo-20&creativeASIN=B07DKZWKW3&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.11SUPHUHH5DX9&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin&th=1
I noticed the fairy lights in your Amazon store (in white color) use two AA batteries now instead of the button batteries. I wonder if this would make the control box too big to mount on the side of the router? This brand on Amazon however seems to be similar to the ones in your video- CYLAPEX 6 Pack Cool White Fairy String Lights Battery Operated Fairy Lights Firefly Lights LED Starry String Lights 3.3ft 20 LEDs
I have 2 different types of fairy lights in my amazon store. These are the ones I use on my routers. www.amazon.com/dp/B07R8V53S4?ref=exp_makeawoodsign_dp_vv_d&th=1 However looks like they are unavailable right now. The ones you mentioned should work the same.
Everyone watch what you are doing and do not order these: TingMiao Cool White Fairy String Lights Battery Operated Fairy Lights Firefly Lights LED Starry String Lights 7.2ft 20 LEDs Silvery Copper Wire for Christmas DIY Decoration Wedding Party (6 Pack) - I don't know how I got there after following Eric's Amazon link, but these have a blue tint and do not put out much light. Now I am uncertain of what to do... They are still out of the Govee's... Okay, I am going back again... 😀
Good video
Thank you for watching...
Great video. I was wondering about the lights and how you attached them. Much appreciated. What kind of knife is that you pulled out of your pocket?
Thank you Greg. That is my favorite pocket knife ever. It's a Gerber small folding knife. I got it at Tractor Supply. Merry Christmas
Thanks for sharing love to all infor: halps alot. God Bless and stay safe.
Thank you Danny... You Too...
Good info thanks
Any time, Dave👍👍
Thanks.
Thank you...
Thank you.
Thank you Jim
Hi Dave, what would be the product code for those lights? went to the Govee site but cannot find them 😢 Thanks or maybe you could post a link to them?
Here's a link to them on my amazon store www.amazon.com/dp/B07R8V53S4?ref=exp_makeawoodsign_dp_vv_d
@@oldave100 Thank you very much
What is the exact name on the fairy lights?
I found them on Amazon. I just call them fairy lights. Here's the link to them in our Amazon store. www.amazon.com/dp/B07R8V53S4?ref=exp_makeawoodsign_dp_vv_d They are currently unavailable but may you can use the description to find some others.
What is the length of the battery compartment?
Approx. 2"
Great Job! Can you send me the link?
Thank you Dennis... Here's the link for the fairy lights www.amazon.com/dp/B07R8V53S4?ref=exp_makeawoodsign_dp_vv_d
How do you lights in the router that the router manufacturer installe
I'm not sure what you're asking. If you're asking how to change the built in LED's I really don't know. If you have any other questions please email me directly, eric@makeawoodsign.com. I'm happy to help. Thank you for watching
I’m thinking just put a little black paint on the ones you want off 🤔
Good idea...
I but them on my ridged router now I have a hard time changing bits. Only have the one router
When you change bits, do you take the housing off? That's what we do, and they don't get in the way.
@@oldave100 got it figured out had them mounted wrong. Thanks for getting back to me
well I can not find these fairly lights?
Here you go, buddy 👍👍
amzn.to/48GgKna
Guys are you in Rumble platform?
No not yet...
If you use command strips you wont have to deal with the 2 sided tape.
Good point, Thank you, Merry Christmas
How about wrapping the lights you want blacked out with electrical tape.
Great idea...
👍
TY
perhaps you could just black out the bulbs in view?
Good point George. That would probably work. Thank you for the suggestion.
Thanks just sent you email about light for router
Got it, thank you...
You could have just used another gob of hot glue for the battery pack 😀
Yea that's another way to go too...
Can you change the name...gosh fairy lights don't sound so good...lol...🤘🤘🤘
LOL... See when I say "fairy lights" I think Tinkerbell. Do you remember Julia Roberts as Tinkerbell? YOWZA!!!
