Best show of all time in my opinion
that divided sky ending is absolute peak Trey
The first time I heard this Stash was like the first time I head 5/8/77's Dew. Giddy delirium. Nearly ran off the road both times.
Bingo... Listen to 7-8-78 GD, at Red Rocks. Your brain will explode!
I WAS THERE ,WHAT A FREAKIN NIGHT !!!!
Bug Lifeboy Evolve Friends and Possum VS
Soul Planet More Paul and Silas Daniel Saw the Stone Prince Caspian Amazing Grace Dont You Wanna Go I Wanna Be Like You (Fishman tune from 1994 his best ever even better than sexual healing and bike personally) Miss You Drift While Your Sleeping A Life Beyond the Dream
Trey seems conflicted on Jesus and there has got to be a supernatural realm vs music is all there is and we only think there is a supernatural but that shit is all in our Jesus Freak heads
Dawkins who ironically calls evolution EVILution you cannot make this shit up he w his British accent cannot help but to make the real God laugh and pronounce it EVIL you cannot write this shit MadTV SNL or National Lampoons you just cant write this shit God made a Platypus then laughed at us trying to say it could ever have been anything before or after that animal no matter 100 million or 100 trillion yrs
All Darwin a Catholic disillusioned fool saw was birds turn into birds with LONGER BEAKS and made a religion called evolution based on what he actually saw which was adaptation within and always only within a family genus species or kind PERIOD
Fossils and living animals prove that no matter how many 100s of millions or trillions of yrs you give it we should still see fossils of 2 or more species and we never ever do so the Bible is true and Science is false at least the Origin of Species lie we have been spoon fed and turned into monkey robots instead of real thinkers I for one was never a monkey and neither were any of you reading this billions or millions of yrs ago that is just BS
ALL PHANS agree atheist and Jesus Freak alike that TTE Let Me Lie Ether Edge and Evolve are shit songs well Evolve is growing on some fans because it praises man above God unlike Jesus Just Left Chicago which if called Jesus just left Jerusalem praises at least God in the flesh I wish they would bring back the MET classic from 2019 last time played
2 men are Jews 2 Gentiles and Jesus says all 4 can be saved and indeed I hope all are but knowing the drunk ass that is Fishman I find it unlikely for him ever to submit his free will to another man unless that man is named Drum Stick
This was my brother’s first show the day before his 19th birthday

Stoked to be seeing them this weekend, 30 years later!
1994 is peak Phish for those in the know...
In a broader sense, 1993-96 was their prime. However, per single year, I would definitely argue 1994 is their peak.
All depends on how dissonant you like it. A lot of people would argue 97 was the best year.
@@Frank_Reynolds__.97-98 is peak funk. But by 97 they stopped practicing. 93-94 none of the boys missed a note. And the jams were just straight exhilarating even on their ‘worst’ nights of 93/94.
There's no doubt for me that this is prime Phish, all 4 guys at the top of their game musically. The edge was softened a bit after 96 for me
@HippolitoJuancheese I like the dissonance of 94 better than any year, but if we're talking about a full on dance party, 97 was it
30 Years Later, it’s still amazing!
I will be driving in a huge rainstorm later...will be enjoying this show in the car and the show outside
Indeed a fabulous show, my second after seeing them 10 years earlier at Nectars. Looking forward to the shows next weekend back at the same venue!
Amazing show! So great to watch. Love the energy! Long live Gamehendge. Jamming out to this show 30 years later, and we still get to go to shows. How lucky are we!
So, I was there and it was most definitely a top phish experience. Can’t remember how long after the show it was but I remember the day I got the tapes of this show. The story I got from the girl who gave me the tapes was that her cousin or some relative had stealth recorded it. The mics were taped to his glasses (?). The funny thing was, someone asked him the name of Lizards when they started playing it. Dude says, “Can’t remember the name but it’s from ‘The Jungle Book’.” And he was dead serious. Anyway, thanks for taping.
Thanks for throwing this back up, needed that Stash back!!
This stash has been on and off YT like 5x I think. Love it.
I was there! This is the show that won me over - what a night, what a setlist, the 1.0 Phish firing on ALL Cylinders!! My all-time fave Phish show that I personally saw.
You are indeed very fortunate. My first shows were 1994, and what a fire year. That being said, I have the farmers almanac, and I remember seeing the setlist for this show and thinking it was one of the best setlist I have ever seen. The fact that they were on that night as well, must have been something really special. Peace
Man listening to this tripping balls after the national symphony show 😂 thanks trey
That is the best Divided Sky I’ve ever heard! WOW!
This is the year for sure. Most of the best (IMO) versions of early songs are from this era. The Divided Sky from Chicago in June 94 is also incredible
This is ROCK.. circa '94!
The ac dc bag here is maybe one of treys best guitar solos ever
I go back to this show just for the acdc solo. Peak Trey for sure
Wow! This is the one that got away. Caught the next night.
The next night is better despite this one having gamehendge. I was at both.
Best Stash ever!! My first show wasn’t until summer of 1995 but this one must have been epic 😊
It was. Summer 94 was something special. Glad I was there
They were so on, especially Trey. That whole year, and '95, my favorites. '95 was my first show too.
94 modulus sounds so good
This Modulus was Mike’s backup bass at the time. The Lannguadoc was the #1. I love Paul’s work, but Mike on a Modulus Graphite pierces through the mix so much more clearly.
Almost 30 years later… it’s finally back!!!!
I was there and nearly lost whatever I had left of my mind when they started Gamehendge! Still a scorcher of a show 30 years later.
The Stash from A Live One!
Was not expecting to see you here lol
This was my first show.
Thank you. I was at this one. First full Summer Tour. \m/
The was my first show. Not a bad start :)
you lucky duck!
Thank you so much for posting this! I was just telling my friend how I was at this epic show with the elusive Gamehendge story!
Leaving this for drunk future me; 1:56:50 staccato = sound of the universe disintegrating
2:32:15 TREY MOTHER OF GOD
Epic
BALLS
1:10:52 Divided sky.... how is this version not on the jam chart
I was there, down near the front sec 3
Interesting that people went nuts for Gamehendge even as far back as 1994.........
As far back as? That’s the END of the gamehendge era.
@@FlowerSupply420 Really? I saw it performed four months ago.
I'm joking - I don't care, and I don't know that much about Phish. I like that the reaction from this crowd is basically "Oh yeah, they're doing another Gamehendge set."
@@FlowerSupply420 Also dummy - 1994 was 30 years ago already. I know because I was 24 in 1994 and saw Phish at Wetlands in 1990.
@done1675 rip Wetlands. Every Tuesday Dead nite.
I wish they would do a complete Gamehendge show again
I honestly think for most huge phisheads, it would be a huge disappointment and I don't think it would sound good at all...they are too deep into "sigma oasis" and other new "songs" like this. Fishman forgets how to play at least a third of the setlist from any given show and his rudements have slowed down to a crawl 30 years later(no disrespect). I just think too much age and time have made it impossible to pull something like this off. Trey doesn't even play like this anymore. I am not saying it's bad at all, it's just different. You can be mad at me all you want but don't you dare say you don't hear it and know what I am talking about. This year is peak 1.0 and possibly makes a case for peak Hose. The Fall tour is one of the greatest tours ever played, Kent State is possibly the best show ever performed by the band imo and came three weeks after the massive Garden run that the Dead played, 6 nights lol...some of the last good Dead shows played worth listening to. I often think that the Fall tour was the passing of the torch In many ways but it depends if you jumped on Cheese tour instead like a lot of hardcore family did. It was truly an Incredible moment in history for Jam.
All of 94 was off the freekin hook! 95 & 96 didn't suk either!! This is the 'version' of the band that fires me up the most. Agreed that I don't see them pulling off a setlist like this again (Gamehenge and otherwise - Reba, YEM, in this show) Peak Phish, IMO. I know many like 2.0 and beyond - deeper grooves, longer jams. I dig that too but....... Gimmie 94! I was at this show - ripped my freekin face off! @@IndochineQuinine
You got your wish!🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Welp, I think we're all happy with it.
@@andreslo5282 best wish come true ever!!!
I hate the dentist!
strange timing as I went today, but no drill only some scraper.
Depends how much nitrous he lets me suck.🤷🏻
hair was just fluffier in the 90s
Perhaps the best show of all time The best band plus the best song of all time The Lizards plus one of their greatest performances (all of 1995 Summer the Year Trey got out of the Vagina - 12-29-97 2-28-2003 12-31-95 Magnaball N2 Big Cypress N2 Nutter Center 1997 Portland 1998 10-29-2013 (the only one i was lucky enough to attend personally) All of 2017 Summer Tour yes even OH and PA) Im grabbin my shoe mouth on Reba oh yes
First set actually better than the second SO FUCKING RARE and I love when it happens because it is like finding gold or landing a dream job
Might have been there, no idea really.
Thanks! Do you have 6/19/95 by any chance? Would like to check that out again.
Wow
1:19:08 (for me haha)

👍
Trey was definitely speed balling this first set.
Phish threads be like:
Trey was on it.
Trey was killing it.
Trey was high.
😂
There were no hard drugs in Phish pre 96 unless you count dissociatives caffeine and alcohol which honestly you probably should
@@newusernamehere4772 lots of pills
@@newusernamehere4772lots of pills and cocaine from early 90’s some still do it
@@newusernamehere4772shrooms and potentially acid was a thing prior to 96 (not during showtime, more specifically during studio work and downtime, especially during their Europe trip before the release of Junta and mid to late 80s). Fall/winter tour of 96 is when the hard shit supposedly started, mainly just blow and uppers of the sorts. But this whole show is pure adrenaline and motivation(and endless practice)…possibly a single tequila shot for each of the boys before set one and set two to get them fired up and loose at the same time…
Don’t quote me tho, I’m only 22 but I’ve done a fair share of research. Plus being an experienced guitarist (playing since I was 6) that has dabbled with most substances during my playing, it’s easy to relate to treys playing and energy given the substance and respected year he was rumored doing said substances. Early-end of summer tour 96’: shrooms
End of fall/early winter tour post Vegas up until fall tour 98’): blow as far as I’m aware
And start of 99 is when he started dabbling with pills, which continued until 2006.
SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG

da fuq is that dentist chair rap??? so dumb, I'm sorry...this is why I just cant dig these guys no matter how hard I've tried...and I tried..I saw them at Nectar's and in private in Boston in '87
