I would like to see this with bone in chicken. My mother in law first adds sugar to the oil, then will fry it to get a caramel color on chicken. Do you ever do this? When I try to make it with bone in, it never comes out right. I hope you can do it with exact measurements! 😄
I can definitely recreate this dish with the bone in! As per the sugar-oil trick, I do this from time to time. It honestly depends on my mood. I find that getting the oil REALLY hot does the same thing as the sugar. I do plan on showing that trick in an upcoming video in case people are curious on how to do t
Hye Chef Zee... I have a question. Can I use another seasoning without saffron??? My girlfriend is allergic to that... Can I use Maggi seasoning for meat?
You can definitely use a seasoning without saffron! There's a sazon that comes with achiote, which will also give the rice a vibrant color. Just make sure that there's no saffron. The tomato paste will also give this rice a nice color. And you can definitely use Maggi to season the meat. Thank you for watching!
hey good catch! Apologies for the mistake. It's definitely 3 cups of rice and 3 cups of water. There's also an additional 1/4 cup of water that's meant to be added to the chicken when it's sauteeing. Updating the written recipe now.

Hey! No worries. Yes 2tbs of Sopita/Chicken Bouillon Cube = 2 cubes. Now you don't take the water out whenever you're making rice. You let it cook through and evaporate. Once the water evaporate and you're left with just rice (it should look like raw but wet rice) that's when you cover it with the lid and reduce the flame down really low so that the rice can steam cook. I hope this helps!

I always use long grain white rice and I typically buy the brand: Arroz Carolina or Arroz Canilla 😎 Hope this helps!
