AF, I made mud flaps for my Quad too and I used spacers with my OZ wheels for my winter set. I got the Eurocompulsion set of 5 mm all around, which was not thick enough to go over the front brakes. Sure they were Ti wheels from OZ but only needed spacers to work. So I made some shims to cover the difference but ideally, I would like a set of 8 mm spacers for my winter fronts (Ti offset) and matching bolts. Could you make these? The EC spacers and bolts are finished in gloss black. I would like to match those if possible. The OZ Leggera HLTs are great and I had them made to order from the factory via Tire Rack last winter. Love em and only need the spacers for the best fit. The wheels are more narrow than stock on the Quad but just fine for winter. 8 inch front, 9 inch rear. I kept the 5 mm on with stock summers and yes, they do kicks rocks ;) I have ppf so I'm not too worried about it. I am not lowered yet and am on the higher 2018 springs.
@autofanatic so you used the st lowering springs and also put in these spacers? If you use just he lowering springs can that till work? I'm from south Africa, tuners are still not as knowledgable about the qv...so I dont wanna mess it up
You continue to amaze! Thanks for an amazing video and genius tricks(cutting OEM lug to clean). The only confusion I had was the torquing of the existing hub. Didn't understand that step as I thought it was factory installed and not compromised by your spacer addition. Anyway much thanks for your consistently informative vlogs. You're the best!
the studs need to be torqued to the existing hub where as in a conventional hub assembly the studs have splines that get pressed into the back of the hub to lock them into place. the threaded studs kinda do the same thing just more user friendly to ever replace and service where as on a normal pressed in hub the entire car needs to be torn down to press the old studs out on the bench.
Don’t get the carbon ceramics. They suck on the first bite but after a bit of heat they work. I switched to iron rotors and switched pads and I noticed the iron rotors make steering response a little more laggy than the carbon ceramics. It’s the difference between how my Miata turned in vs my 350z. The iron rotors are definitely better street rotors and are even better around the track. Especially if you go with aftermarket pads. Hawk HP or EBC reds are really nice. Not as much dust either as the carbon ceramics. I recommend getting the wheels ceramic coated so the dust doesn’t cook on.
Hi , love your channel. After 3 M3s , I just bought a QV. What a car it is. Just about to purchase 5mm spacers kit all round. You think 5 mm will make a noticeable difference? I assume 5mm don’t need to be hubcentric ? Also, what size wheel studs do I need for 5 mm spacers ?
Hi Phil what size spacers would you advise on a 21 model or do i not need them, also whats the price of them inc post to the UK Also what price would the X pipe be thanks Gary.
Any chance that you can/will have black spacers made? I have CCB option with dark rims and the hats are black from the factory. I prefer that the spacers not stand out. I'll also be interested in your mud flaps. Thanks for the great content.
I can send spacers out for anodize but they charge a flat rate per batch and to do one pair will be pricey unless im sending in lots of other parts at the same time. I make the OD of the spacers match the OEM wheels mounting pad so they are practically invisible when mounted . I have 3 new sets posted in my web store FYI.
Interested in secret weapon, I have black car with ceramic coat but still see some swirls. Using secret weapon does it remove ceramic coat and does it remove all types of swirls?
the way these fenders slope down and tuck under makes this car so prone to damage from rocks especially with the Corsa tires. No idea why Alfa does not offer these guards but il be making them soon for all Giulia owners
Spacers are god's way of telling an owner the wheels are too narrow and have a sub-optimal offset. Adding excess rotating unsprung mass is not a performance upgrade. "Stance" is a static appearance consideration, not a dynamic performance one. I doubt many if any Giulia QF are curb queens. They are built for drivers, not gawkers. Meanwhile, back on the Lexus VIP channel .....
yes the weather has been awful the past 2 months of constant rain il be shooting that video very soon once we get a few days of decent weather. i have lots of stuff to share along the way so stay tuned
Just subscribed. Great content and attention to detail. Clarity of your process and video capture is awesome. I love that you produce your own items I hope you do well with all. I own an E39 BMW M5 does the company you purchased those from I believe you said Centerline make those for other vehicles.
AF I have a Quadrifoglio as well and would love to buy the same setup as yours. Any idea when you plan on posting up the spacers and lugs to your store?
Awesome content, I'd definitely go for that stance on my QV. Do you get any rubbing at full lock with the 7mm spacing? I know people have had that issue at 10mm.
no rubbing at all with or without the spacers being stock or lowered. as soon as you change the Corsa tires the slightest deviation causes rubbing because of how tight the wheel wells are designed for aerodynamics.
When I buy my Guilia QV and I buy all the parts you recommend, and the ones you make, can i buy them from you,and pay your trip to Florida to install on my car? let me know.
How is it possible for you who seem to be very knowledgeable about detailing have only 38,000 subscribers, when there are detailers that give bad advice that have more than 10 times that amount? I will be ordering some your products very soon.
i do much more than detailing as my content shows there is nobody else who does what I do on youtube with my background thats a fact., It is not always about numbers of fans. its about who would be relevant customers for your brand and services. many channels can have millions of fans or views to generate ad revenue based off entertainment or stupidity but do they have millions of customers buying product and services thats the difference.
no i tried that and its too much and will kick up too many rocks when turning and looks out of balance with the rear because you can not get the rear to stock out past the lip it will rub on compression.
Appreciate you making this video for us all. New BLACK Giulia QV owner here - got to be honest, your car helped me swap from the grey I had on my ABARTH 124 previously... CHEERS! Find me on instagram.com/jay_7ee
you obviously never modified cars for a living or been around professional motorsports to understand small changes like this only enhance not degrade when done properly. Do you realize almost every Porsche 911 and BMW M owner has been using spacers for over 30 years? OEM have many compromises in a production cars the only brand out of the box that makes their cars pretty race worthy is Ferrari and Porsche on their top models.
you ve just destroyed the geometry of the car by fiting different size spacers on front and rear.Spacers must be the same in front and rear,so u can increase the cars wheelbase as a whole. Its not just a matter of what looks good and suits us......
your absolutely wrong if you knew anything about cars, wheel offsets etc the front and rear wheels on almost any car are not the same and on a RWD sport sedan they are staggered and therefore you always use different spacers to make sure the TRACK WIDTH is equal front and rear which is exactly what I did here. the front and rear geometry is completely different being lowered and the staggering of spacers made the track width equal front and rear. I think i kinda know what im doing with this here .
For anyone who wants a complete set of spacers visit auto-fanatic.com I am making 10 sets now and 3 sets are up for grabs. AF
Hey this is a random question, but what engine oil do you recommend? Is Penzoil ultra good?

I learn so many things from this channel
DieselDan09 glad you do thats my entire focus doing this stuff. 👍
How to make a great car looking better, you just did! Bravo!
it looks perfect now
Great content man! Nice to see someone taking the time to make this quality content for the Quads that they really deserve!
Glad you enjoy it! check out all the videos on this channel of the Alfa Romeo QV
Small touch , huge change. Nice job
Juan Gutierrez the car feels and looks so much better now, when i park and walk away the stance is spot on which was the goal
Amazing!!👍👍
Looks great my dude! Keep the quadrifoglio videos coming!!
Definitely getting those splash guards

Loved the video. Good looking Alfa my man.
Wow, that looks really good! Please do a drive video with exterior drone footage... I’d love to see it ride on the highway...
I swear this might be the car for me! I want fast but practical (with a family).

You are the best. When I get my Giulia I will contact you for sure.
Looks perfect. Have 8 front 5 rear on my e92 m3
Just in time for the summer
Very thorough indeed, using black gloves also, almost surgical/fanatical in precision, nice 👍
Nice work! Great addition is the longer studs, I hate working on cars with the removable studs.
yeah Mercedes always included that aluminum stud to insert when servicing because linking the holes up even for veteran techs is a PITA
Very impressed on your Alfa..what lowering springs do you have?
Awesome video!!! I learn a lot watching your channel.
thanks thats my intent from the start doing this stuff to share with you guys.
Nice video, quite surprised at how little thread was used on the original bolts at 3.33,
yeah the OEM bolts are so damn short

Those front deflectors should be standard on all cars like that! Without the shield the lower rockers would be trashed in a year's driving.
the way these fenders slope down and tuck under makes this car so prone to damage from rocks especially with the Corsa tires. No idea why Alfa does not offer these guards but il be making them soon for all Giulia owners
Good afternoon sir. I visited your website. When will the wheel spacers be available again.
At this time no ETA they just are not profitable for make these in small batches so unless things change i do not know if i will make more
Great video.
Looks awesome.
yes much better now and feels better
I would love to get the spacer off your website but the are out of stock. When will you have more available?
Please contact directly through the website I have one complete set ready to go

E39 M5 is an awesome car cool you found this video, there are many vendors that make these for BMW maybe try Turner
Auto Fanatic, when will your spacers be back in stock, been wanting to buy some.
material costs keep increasing each month making them highly unprofitable to manufacture in small batches right now
@@autofanaticcars That's too bad, any others you recommend. Also i saw your Quadrifoglio listed on EBay.

so the studs are torqued to 20 ft. lbs. the bolts are normally around 90-100 ft. lbs. Won't the studs come out when you try to take the bolt off?
loctite prevents that

What length are the studs?
I would recommend getting a wheel with a different offset rather than all that work and put spacers on
spacers have been used on the autobahn forever by major OEMS and tuners, they are 100% safe when engineered and installed properly.
what you planning to do with your Red Sport 400?"
cordinate81 shopping to replace it soon il be shooting videos of the process

How many Nm for the wheel stud?
the kit comes with specific instructions on torque i do not know off hand i torque mine to 105ftb
@@autofanaticcars perfect thank you ;)
I would think that you lowered your performance with more unsprung weight and more rotational mass.
the weight that came off by switching out the heavy steel bolts alone is more than what went on here. the lowering springs are also lighter than OEM
can someone more knowledgeable than me explain how to avoid that rust right there?
Sexiest rims evar
this style is really nice, would not mind a larger diameter set but then il be on rubber bands around here and its too risky
Fronts need to be pushed out a bit more.
no i tried that and its too much and will kick up too many rocks when turning and looks out of balance with the rear because you can not get the rear to stock out past the lip it will rub on compression.
Makes sense.
Www.auto-fanatic.co.uk coming soon.
