Я принимал участие на их концерте когда Лед Зеппелин были на гастролях в Стамбуле. Это было незабываемое и потрясающее зрелище видеть на сцене легендарную группу нашей молодости. R.I.P. Micheal Lee born in England and, similarly to Led Zeppelin's John Bonham, used large drum sizes, something he attributed to his 6'2" height. His bass drum was 26" in diameter, and his snare drum was a brass 14" x 14" shell.
He started his professional career as drummer with Little Angels, a band from Scarborough who became one of the primary British rock acts of the early 1990s, however, Lee was sacked from Little Angels during their Young Gods tour, after it was discovered he had auditioned for The Cult behind their backs. He went on to play the full Ceremony world tour with The Cult in 1991 and 1992 (and was replaced in Little Angels by Mark Richardson.)
After playing with The Cult, he would go on to work with Echo & The Bunnymen and the reformed version of Thin Lizzy. Lee also worked with many other bands including Holosade, Alaska, and Sweet Janes.
Ultimately, it would be his work with Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant that garnered him the highest profile. As a result of his work on Plant's solo material, he was invited to continue this collaboration when Plant re-joined forces with Jimmy Page for their Page & Plant project. Lee became the drummer for their touring and recording band, also earning writing credits.
Lee also toured with Jeff Martin and played drums on Martin's solo album, Exile and the Kingdom. He also performed with The Cult founders Billy Duffy and Ian Astbury on their Ceremony tour.[2] He also co-operated on the 2006 Ian Gillan album, Gillan's Inn. He also recorded his first album with North east of England band Holosade "Hellhouse" under the name of Damian Lee.
    Death
Lee died on 24 November 2008 from an epileptic seizure. He was found dead in his flat, and his funeral took place in his hometown of Darlington the following week. Former bandmates Toby Jepson and Jimmy Page were amongst the mourners in attendance.

Live, Plant always seems to be more interested in his hair, how unbuttoned his shirt is, strutting, and being coy with the audience, rather than focusing on a great delivery of the vocals. He is THE most irritating of all the Zep members, imo. Big chest hair with an oversized ego to match, LOL !!

I’ve been listening to Led Zeppelin since the early 70’s. That was the best cover of Whole Lotta Love I’ve ever heard. You guys made my day. Keep up the good work. ROCK ON

how odd. i just commented on another LIVE version of this song...saying that i've never heard Plant sing the opening line of this song as he does in the recorded version and HERE's a LIVE version where he sings the opening line just like on the recording.
    :)

There are tons of Led Zeppelin Bootlegs where he sings the song like the recorded version in the 70's, such as here in Sydney during 1972 (ua-cam.com/video/CmO_8NYxl1A/v-deo.html). The only problem is that there's only one official Led Zeppelin Live Album where he does it (How the West Was Won: ua-cam.com/video/NFT6IaFcu7I/v-deo.html) and Jimmy Page, instead of releasing new material that the fans want, keeps re-releasing the same albums and compilations. The best we can make do with is Led Zeppelin bootlegs, which you can find right here on UA-cam thanks to channels like Led Zeppelin Rarities (ua-cam.com/channels/tQjFbGBtFaDU7Ty5VMtxJw.html) and Led Zeppelin Boots (ua-cam.com/channels/r71fBT_pB8pRBEHTe2oy6A.html).

My reaction is absolutely not personal because I do not know you personally afcourse. As a young one I sang "Whole lotta love"" with pleasure together with you : it was my very first single. Led Zeppelin made beautiful music on records , that is for sure. I went to the conservatory thanks to the music of Emerson , Lake and Palmer and they were absolutely great playing concerts. So thank you for the records of Led Zeppelin, anf afcourse wish you well

This drummer as unbelievably bad. Bonham turns in his grave at this horrendous butchering of an LZ classic. It's bad enough that this disgrace was witnessed by thousands live as it happened. But farwose that it was recorded and now viewed by millions across the world. Better for his video to be deleted permanently than allow anyone else to watch it. HORRIBLE DRUMMER.
