- Many of you probably know the famous Keukenhof Garden in The Netherlands. I were there for few days ago and have been making a short film, which I hope you would like. My name is Claus Dalby, and I live in Risskov on the outskirts of Aarhus in Denmark. To date, I have written about 30 books on flowers and gardens in Danish, and my garden has been featured on many TV shows. In March 2022 my first book in English will be available. I consider my home (built in1908), and its garden with its neighboring wood, as my sanctuary. When I started gardening in 1996, there was just a large lawn covering approximately 1 acre (4,000 square meters), but today the grass is long gone - replaced by 15 hedged rooms with varying colors and moods. Additionally, one of my great passions is growing in pots, arranged to create spectacular container gardens, which I will share quite a bit about on this channel. Decor and creating moods have always interested me - both outside and inside - and I love to use the flowers from my garden for bouquets and to inspire other crafts that create a sense of hygge.

Wow wow wow…love this tour Claus! We get bulbs from Holland to plant in our gardens (in 🇨🇦) and have never been there to experience this so it’s so nice to be there with you. This will be on my bucket/wish list to do after I retire from my day job so I could travel there at this time to experience this in person. Definitely “a wonder of the world”. 💚🙏💚
It is a fantastic place, and if you get the chance, I cannot recommend strongly enough that you visit.
Tracy's Home, I highly recommend this beautiful garden but there is another jewel in your own country that also exquisite -- Butchart Gardens -- built in an old limestone quarry on Vancouver Island, BC. It truly is a jewel. The story of its inception is quite interesting.

Thank you for giving us your own view of the keukenhof. Visiting it is a goal of mine. Do many people really think holland is part of Denmark???!!! That surprises me. My very favorite teacher (1st grade - 6-7 year old students) taught us all about the Netherlands where she had lived for several years. It was the beginning of my fascination with the country. Hi Claus, can you do a detailed video on watering bulbs in pots please, I over watered my tulips bulbs. I replanted them in a pot with fresh soil because they were still firm but leaves were yellow, so hopefully they will still bloom? Thank you

I had the good fortune to visit Keukenhof a few years ago. And I must say it was spectacular!
I have always wanted to visit Keukenhof Gardens to see the spring bulbs blooming . I am in Western Washington and we do have some bulb nurseries a hit north where you can enjoy the daffodils and tulips, but the scale is not the same and most here are out in the production fields. Still beautiful, of course, but not the same. As an American, I had to cringe that you needed to explain that The Netherlands and Denmark are different countries. Wow. It makes me sad that you must have had people who thought they were the same. I am old and geography used to be taught in schools here, but I think a lot of people are now making it out of school without taking classes in it. I was briefly listening to a radio station contest a few weeks ago where all a caller had to do was name 10 different countries in a specific number of seconds , which should have been laughably easy, but she couldn't do it. Just blows my mind. Anyway, thank you for sharing the glory that is Keukenhof in the spring!

Being Dutch-American…I am very jealous of your visit there!😍 But, since I live very close to Roozengaard Nursery here in western Washington USA (which is near Erin at Floret) I am able to get my Tulip fix. Hopefully someday I’ll hop the big pond and get there in person!!! Thanks for sharing!!💕

Thanks for the tour! Found you on Instagram last year and planted my first container of spring bulbs last year. Planted 60 daffodil bulbs in fall in huge ceramic crock after coleus annuals faded. Topped off planter with branches of fresh cut evergreen boughs and pine cones for winter and removed early spring to daffodils already sprouted 2-3”. This coming fall I plan to plant several crocks with tulips and hyacinth bulbs. Thanks for giving me inspiration for another gardening adventure. Xoxo from Tahoe Nevada USA
