The Stoke-fication of the Premier League
Nah it's always been like this. If anything its an old trend coming back
Make Pulisball great again
@@MatheusFernandes-xf4zmWe need Stokealona back man
I kinda think of it similar to the nba, first you had strong physical players, then the game gets more skill and flair oriented, and the natural evolution is to have said strong physical players adapt to the skill and tactics necessary to compete, while also having the natural advantage.
Stoke were ahead of time
"They called me a madman"- Sean Dyche, Big Sam and Tony Pulis
And David Moyes
Those menagers can't spot talented high technical skills and mentally strong players, they just got big players 😂
Mourinho was ahead of the curve when he wanted a more physical Man U squad 😂
How did that work out lol
@@MrJayManUtd08 Won 3 trophies first season then didn't get backed
@@musaddiqmunirliman8267 Bullshit..
He was lucky to win the Europa after getting to play Supercup because of Van Gaal..
And then spent 150M more on that squad just to finish 19 points behind Man City
@@smahajan1995what bout the 2nd place finish forgot to mention that?
best ever finish after sir alex retirement.
won Europa again with Roma so lucky isn't it kid?
what has ten hag done buy benchwarmers with that 140 millon?
@@smahajan1995kind of taking that a bit out of context when considering 19 points behind the literal first centuerian season in premier league history is very impressive, especially with the state of MU
Clubs have replaced their head scouts with women from tinder.
😂😂😂😂
@@ColorfullHD😭😭😭😭
💀 Bro it left me on the floor 💀
I don't get it, Someone pls explain?
@@Avinash-fm9eg As in they only want people who are 6ft 4... Similar to women on tinder who want taller partners.
Can’t wait to see football scouts at NBA games
😂😂😂 can't wait to see some basketball nba frauds to join a football club and become an aerial monster
@@yungtrashlordWhat makes them frauds?
@@mrstealyourmom75maybe a typo of forwards lmao.
@@yungtrashlordIf only it were that easy
I miss JJ talking about goblins or doing his "Rooney!" Impression
Yeah where is Jacques de Bones?
remember having him, Ndidi & Ibanez in a back 3 for Bologna, conceded 14 goals in the league.
Fake news
Back to long form videos please!
the tifo we know is long gone im afraid. not more fun songs or games, just money and corporate stuff.
So depressing like whats going on?😞
Where is the tifo IRL style of longer format? Your shorts are quite good for what they are, but I miss the longer analysis videos
Tifo IRL is dead and it's about time we accept it ☹️
Yeah, thank christ for Four Four Two, Different Knock (Arsenal though), etc.
Ooh, and Statman Dave
Watched him live and honestly it’s like watching an avatar running around the pitch
tbh i liked this guy since he debuted for everton... said he wont stay long in everton and now the big boys are coming for him
Kai Havertz style of play ( physical + short passes + off the ball ) is really changing the league
Havertz is garbage
@@ERFARINGyoutubeWonder why professional scouts in all the best clubs love him then? Or perhaps, it's because professionals in the industry understand the same much better than a nobody like yourself?
@@Just-J2 It's called opinion mate. Ben White can't cross to the same extent as Trippier cuz he ain't a natural RB. Instead of telling me why White is better, you call me a nobody, making your argument irrelevant.
@@ERFARINGyoutube I've got no idea what you're talking about. Why are you bringing up english RBs? That'd not what I was replying about, you got a reading comprehension lad?
@@Just-J2 Oh my bad 😅. I had commented to someone saying White is better than Trippier. I thought you meant White was loved. Either way it’s clear to see you’re an Arsenal fan. If I knew you meant Havertz I would have just laughed. Cuz rating Havetz is delusional 😂😂.
I've had this recruitment strategy for years on FM, nice to see ppl catching on 😉
More than just size in physicality though. The fact that Onana can get around the pitch is in part what allows him to both drive forward with the ball and break up play.
Onana is a decent Premier League player, not a phrase you'll hear often nowadays
He can handle the ball as well.
Your videos are amazing!
Onana was a wonderkid. Big teams were always watching how he would perform in england before making the move.
Liverpool currently at the top of the table with Endo, MacAlister, Elliot playing in midfield 🤔
But to be fair we also have a few tall and physical lads aswell
Midfield
Jones is 6'1
Szobo is 6'1
Bajcetic is 6'1
Graven is 6'3
Attack
Nunez is 6'2
Gakpo is 6'4
Def
Van Dijk is 6'4
Konate is 6'4
Quansah is 6'3
Matip 6'5
Oh yeah a special tribute to Endo and Jota being small but winning aerial duels XD
Which 'big' club would benefit the most from Onana's arrival?
Everton again
Barcelona
Man United, from having Heaton and Bayindir two backups for de gea, to having one of the best goalies.
No mention of vvd, konate, and szobo, nunez, gakpo, Gravenberch who are all well above 6ft
Who???
He is 6 foot 4, and you can’t teach that!
-some scout somewhere in london-
Man also puts down some saucy R&B vocals, still.
PL teams always tend to come back to this type of player. Look at all the successful PL teams, you’ve always needed a good mix of physical and technical players.
In Europe this is not always the focus as much
Everton fan here. His mental and technical abilities still leave a lot to be desired. Yes he is an absolute specimen and has a huge ceiling but I think he needs another season without injury (which is actually asking a lot) under Dyche to develop his mental toughness before I think he would be able to break into a top starting side regularly. Anyway that's just my honest assessment if I was his agent anyway
As a Barca fan we feel it😢
Tony Pulis was playing Craig Dawson at RB 7 years ago big whoop
Yeah until they play against Rodrigo and Vinicius 😂😂😂
Here before he’s at Manchester United
Short men disliked this video.
Well yeah football used to be the one sport where you could watch it and lie to yourself and think "yeah I could probably do that". Now it might as well be Aussie Rules what with all the massive bastards charging around
Understandable, Messi is the greatest football player of all time
The best footballer ever is 5’7 😂
I’m an Everton fan, and honestly I don’t have a clue how only 5-6 years ago we was filled with joy and optimism when moshiri came thinking about the money he’d pump into our club to now where we are fighting relegation year after year yes if we didn’t get points deducted we’d be in a better position but still our team is honestly woeful even if we have no funds we still had better teams when kenwright was majority share holder and didn’t have much money to spend because the players fought for our team this team seems to give up after the first 10 minutes we have certain players who battle such as Coleman and possibly Pickford due to him constantly barking at players even if we block a shot or stop an attack as he knows if an earlier intervention had occurred the opposition wouldn’t have the opportunity to get further up the pitch, I don’t know where we go from here the players don’t seem to want to put a shift and dyche’s tactics aren’t working we may well be better off going down and starting from scratch with players from the academy who will fight in games as they have something to prove to themselves and us as fans
Yes Pulis, Dyche and Big Sam should feel aggrieved but surely Moyes is the most hard done by here. He was mocked mercilessly for taking Fellaini to United but now apparently bringing in a tall lad from Everton is all the rage.
He didn’t deserve to get mocked for signing fellaini, very decent player
Bro is too smart for this p.
I think he’s class
I want to see the next Peter Crouch
Arsenal bound, young impressionable no drama not a diva won’t cost too much literally an Arsenal player if there ever was one! Plus we always have Everton Iwobi, didn’t Walcott play for them aswell
They’ve turned Tifo into a busker for Athletic articles lmao
Sounds like what José done at United
Agreed ✋
This has always been the strategy so there is no change. But having big physical players doesn't mean anything. All of the best players in history bar 2 or 3 have been very small. They fundamentally don't understand football if they don't know this.
I miss the days Tifo used to do youtube vids and not tiktok. Vids
This is english football heritage, fill up with big lads
I wonder if the whole level of players just went down or something. Idk if I’m bugging but I 100% believe Barcelona 2008-2015 destroys most of these prem teams.
I guess all the small ball players were some of the most technically gifted players to have ever graced the game.
teams want tall players but equally they want short agile players.
Kai Havertz is 6'4"?
Makes sense. Different leagues have different overall styles. La liga is technical tiki taka, Serie A is tactical, Bundesliga is attack based efficiency, Eredivisie is Total Football and the Premier League is highly physical Football. So having big guys for a more physical style of play makes sense
That analysis is kinda dated.
Still baffles me how phillip billing who is taller than onana isnt good at headers
No way rodri is 6”3 💀
Yo I thought maybe he was 6 or even 511 but 63 damn even am surprised
He is he 190 you will be suprised he dosnt look like it
@@LitoLochoss I mean he does look tall
He looks that tall
But I guess its because he ticks his shirt IN
He looks stocky because of his build
Would be a great signing for Bayern
Scout instruction: tall, pacey, first team quality.
Just use centimeters to measure heights, because who are we kidding only Americans use feet and inches and Americans don't care that much about football 😂
The system was created in England so like a lot of people still use it even though metric took over.
would the old tiki taka Barcelona do well in current football? seeing as how they weren't the biggest guys
That Barca team would still overcome. Especially with Pep as the manager
Looks like the Prem is copying my FM strategy. Soon they'll be playing Onuachu and Weghorst up front and bidding their entire budget on James Ward Prowes
HAVERTZ IS 6’4?!!!??
No they messed up a lot of the height conversions hes 6"3
Drogba and Ibrahimovic enter the chat. Everyone is Jose Mourinho.
He carried me in fifa
Since when was Kai 6’4
He’s 6’6 I think
Bro just disrespected the best team in history destroying Prime ManU 2009 and 2011 Barcelona, I think it is not about bigger it's just about they don't have the level of skill players had back then (even short) and I'LL MAKE THAT DIFFERENCE
Very early 2000s Arsenal esque
and we know from the best team that has ever played this sport that size has nothing to do with quality or skill
JJ!!!
tbh when you see him on the pitch i think he's more like 6'6"
True😂 I think its because hes quite lean and lanky
Would be perfect for Manchester United
Finally, Onana Is Having A Good Season 😅
He's 21 and only joined Everton last season and really hasn't done much this season.
Fam ... U said Onana ...
And then comes wataru endo at 5'9
Liverpool playing with Robbo and endo 😅
1. Black 2. Tall 3. Strong 4. Fast = Prime Drogba
Mourinho ❤
Havertz is Taller than Rice??
"6 foot 4? Say no more."
- Women everywhere.
while klopp is playing harvey who is 5.6
Coming back from injury and still doesn't look different and with everton's ffp violations he will be a bargain in the summer
He won't be a bargain when Everton only just paid 33m for him last season . So they want at least 50-60m which trust me he ain't worth it I watch him every week. Doucoure is much better at Everton and scores and creates much more too.
Better than the Portuguese goalies?
"Onana is good" is something i didnt think i would ever hear
Man United will sign him but Chelsea & Todd Boehly will him in the end with 80 milion transfer
I don’t want to read the athletic I want you to tell me more information
There's no way Havertz and Rodri are 6'4 and 6'3
Havertz is about 6'3. I agree with Rodri, he looks around 6'1
They can have him but they better make sure to bring there wallets he is brill for us but money=success
Kai havertz is six four!?
In what world is havertz 6 foot 4
hes 195cm so actually 6ft 5
Can't wait for football to go full circle and back to diminutive technical Spaniards. 😂
For real😭nothing new under the sun
Be nice if he could score a pen tho
I had no clue Rodri was 6’4”
6’3 or 6’2
Wtfff kai havertz is 6’4??
He basicslly means big teams want 5 to 6 genetically gifted athletes from an African origin who can do basic skills with the ball😂
Excuse me but Kai havertz is 6'4
meanwhile villa
This is pure bull. Onana contributes almost nothing. He was left out by a relegation side . He is 6 4 but wins very little in the air . He also never is a threat in the opponents nox chec out his stats around the goal
You guys ruined tifo irl
rodri is not 6'3
Long form videos I beg
🤔🤔🤔
Kai havertz is 6 what ....🧍
Answer: Arsenal just ain't scoring enough corners 😂
Welcome to Barca
Onana is terrible, he can’t pass a ball further than 5 yards. I’m an Evertonian by the way 😂
Arsenal aren’t competing for titles tho 😂😂
The cope on you😂
Don’t listen to him short kings 👑
He is not good at passing. He's a physically gifted player. But hes not good on the ball.
