- A great one-on-one interview with Sammy Davis Jr. on Terry Wogans BBC show from 1989. Sammy, Frank and Liza were visiting the U.K. as part of the european leg of their Ultimate Event tour.
Simply fantastic. !! I never get tired of hearing Sammy speak, sing or dance. !!! It's very precious to see this interview, Im smiling as I hear him telling his stories. I love his focus, his serenity, the manner in which he talks about his life. Wonderful !!
this interview is sooo good
I wish I could have known him. He was truly one in a billion, in so many ways.
I was on a coach leaving the Skyway hotel at Heathrow airport as we drove past Shepherds Bush studios our coach driver pointed out Sammy Davis jr name on the billboard. It was a strange evening along 38yr dream I’d longed for, my destination ended at the Royal Albert Hall I was off to see my all time favourite singer the concert was called the Ultimate Event starring Frank Sinatra Liza Minnelli and Sammy Davis jr. What a show
Damn, what a beautiful smile he had.
I really like to hear how Sammy Davis Jr. enjoyed his life, his friends, being a star. There was one thing the mob couldn't steal out from under him (they they tried), or that Sinatra couldn't mimic, or even the cancer that stole is voice and his life, and that is the talent of ten lifetimes this man had. None can even be close to how talented he was, except for MJ, but this man was and will remain, unique.
Sammy was a top geezer - what a legend
Vi este grande artista em cinema a muitos anos e gostava de ver o seu desempenho profissional era fantástico até sapateado fazia era muito cómico .
Old school gentlemen.
Makes me wanna have a cigarette again real bad lolll Such a shame smoking is so awful for health... An amazing man and performer. Rip Sammy.

@TheInvincibleViolet Yes, you enjoyed hearing him talk just as much as you enjoyed hearing him sing. He was the most well-spoken and articulate person you'd ever hear. Considering all the other talents he had both as a performer and as a person you can fairly ask yourself if there was anything he wasn't great at.
