Greatings from Durban Durban South Africa Ralph. I just purchased my TD17kvx Roland kit a few day ago and today i purchsed the real accoustic sound drum pack from your website. @Derek Frampton aKa 1PaPaD1 yeah I can't for the life of me understand how roland can justify the quality of samples that come with a kit worth a fair chunk of cash. While not top of their range it cost enough to expect decent quality rather than what we're given.

Just bought the sounds yesterday and they are great - especially the #28 Fibes maple for me was by far the winner. Since I play mostly rock and metal, I was wondering if in the “ rock classics” sounds I would get more kits along the lines of the fibes maple? (I also checked the metal sounds version but had the impression they are a bit artificial)

I've had it with trying to learn the drums, I was home with my gal in the room where the magic happens and I tried a paradiddle on her, and apparently it isn't what I thought it was. It's some kind of drum pattern or some such nonsense. Even the swirl at the end didn't save me. Thanks to what I now know as "rudiments" I'm single; but I know what a paradiddle is. So we're living, we're learning, but the readers at home, don't make the same mistake I made.
ho una roland td 17 su batteria acustica con mesh head e trigger sempre roland...è perfetta! feeling identico a quello di una batteria vera con il plus di avere infiniti suoni e possibilità di registrare immediatamente e con qualità eccelsa quando si vuole
Love the sounds!!! I wondering, This package is only for the roland TD-17? Or Can I buy only the sounds and use it on a roland multipad or another Brand? Thanks!

Hey Mark, I am not sure how this works on an Ipad exactly, because IOS is different from the OSX desktop surface. Generally speaking you'll get the downloaded files & do exactly what you are describing (copy the files to a computer & move them into the correct folder of the sd card). Loading the kits to your module is shown over here: ua-cam.com/video/kd0NwoZjEBo/v-deo.html Please don't hesitate to get in touch through service@drum-tec.de for any further questions, and there are actually a lot more drum-tec sound editions for the TD-17 module :) www.drum-tec.com/modules/drum-tec-sound-editions Kind regards!
@Bill Perri I will keep you posted. I was able to get the aD5 for a steal. So worse case I resell it. I wish this expansion pack was available last week. Agree the first sound edition was very good (I have the medal one, but not really medal). This one sounds killer. But so do the aD5 sounds (at least via youtube). I can't justify keeping both. I will come back with my review.
The snares sound really good. They are EQ'd better than the Roland stock sounds and don't have the strange 500kHz emphasis. I do wish the toms sounded more natural to match the fidelity of the snares. Some of the toms sound too digital particularly the mid and floor toms. Thankfully, the module lets us tweak these things.
It sounds pretty good. I was about to bash the thing before I started watching. If ya live in an apartment it may be worth it. You'd still be lugging full size drums around if you're a giging drummer thought, and an electric kit will NEVER feel like a accustic kit.

Hi. Im going to buy a drum module and im between two options.- a new Td17 or used td12. And this doubt is because td 12 has positional sensing on snare.- I know the sounds in td17 are way better than td12, but im going to use it with superior drummer also.- What will be your choice???? Td25 is an option? Positional Sensing is so important????Thanks!!! PD. We are waiting the Drumtec play along song edition!!!! :) Thanks again
Hi Frederico, have you considered the new TD-27? It will cost a little more, but is perfect for triggering external samples AND fun to play/rehearse with some of the onboard sounds in my opinion. It has more trigger inputs for an expanded kit than a TD-17, positional sensing, and is compatible with the digital Roland pads (the ride I think is sensational). If you get your module from drum-tec, it comes with the free Live Sound Edition which is cool out of the box if you´re not using midi out: ua-cam.com/video/mO1ZXei-k6Y/v-deo.html Doing my best on the playalong compillation! ;-D kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Hi!!! Thanks for you answer. I ve been looking for td27 , but it cost three times than td17. Im from Buenos Aires , Argentine, but Im traveling to usa next month, and a brand new td17 module bluetooth version , cost u$s 485 free delivery. Td27 is u$s1250. I have a limited budget. Thats why i ask you about td25 and positional sensing. Most time im gonna use it with Superior Drummer 3 in home. Great thanks! I downloaded the zip file after purchasing but the files are super small is that right? I was expecting larger sound files like .wav or similar but “kit” files in the folder are small. Is that right?
@@gfunkera69 Hey Graham, no you are right, it´s not a lot of data, you are basically loading kit presets for the TD-17 plus additional included wav audio samples, that are layered on top of the module sounds here and there. Those are not multi layer sample sets, the Roland modules can only use one additional shot samples for each trigger zone. For any further questions please don´t hesitate to get in touch through info@drum-tec.de! Kind regards & happy drumming.

@Derek Frampton aKa 1PaPaD1 yeah I can't for the life of me understand how roland can justify the quality of samples that come with a kit worth a fair chunk of cash. While not top of their range it cost enough to expect decent quality rather than what we're given.
@Bill Perri I've just used this sound pack since purchase and never really felt the need to get anything different personally. Sorry that probably doesn't help you much but it's all I need!
I wish Canada has drum-tec.
We ship internationally :)

What's the sticking for that fill at 1:00 please? Awesome!!
Hey Leandro, thank you that's great to hear! You can find the complete TD-17 Rock Classics demo over here if you like:

Thanks!
Hi Alejandro & thank you! The TD-17 sound editions are only compatible with the TD-17 sound module. Kind regards!
Hello Ralf, Will you have this sound package available for the Roland TD-50 module??
I’m new to edrums & I’m trying to figure this stuff out. For example, if I downloaded this drum pack onto my iPad, could I then connect my SD card reader to my iPad & load it onto the card, & then move the SD card to the td17 & load it onto there? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I’m just tryin to figure all this stuff out. I really want this pack!
Hey Mark, I am not sure how this works on an Ipad exactly, because IOS is different from the OSX desktop surface. Generally speaking you'll get the downloaded files & do exactly what you are describing (copy the files to a computer & move them into the correct folder of the sd card). Loading the kits to your module is shown over here:
ua-cam.com/video/kd0NwoZjEBo/v-deo.html
Please don't hesitate to get in touch through service@drum-tec.de for any further questions, and there are actually a lot more drum-tec sound editions for the TD-17 module :)

Great sounds. Still debating if I keep my Td-17 module or the aD5 I just got?
@Bill Perri I will keep you posted. I was able to get the aD5 for a steal. So worse case I resell it. I wish this expansion pack was available last week. Agree the first sound edition was very good (I have the medal one, but not really medal). This one sounds killer. But so do the aD5 sounds (at least via youtube). I can't justify keeping both. I will come back with my review.
so who's the phenomenal drummer?
Just WOW!
Is this pack compatible with the Roland TD07KV? Is there a sound pack for my drum model? Thanks!
Hello.
How much is that sound kit in Japanese yen?
And can I buy from Japan?
Hi, the Sound Edition is available from our online shop as a download:
www.drum-tec.com/real-acoustics-sound-edition-roland-td-17-download
For further info, please get in touch through info@drum-tec.de! Kind regards
Meeeeat! Excellent!
Thinking of getting this sounds i love the metalpack i bought but idk if it comes with that play along song if it does than there is no thinking about it im buying it
Hey Arturo, the playalong unfortunately is not part of the TD-17 Real Acoustics Sound Edition :) but there will probably be a playalong collection some time in the future! Kind regards
What are the sounds for the aux trigger input? Hopefully a 4th tom
Yes :) kind regards!
I love your setup. I hate the rack. The kick pad won’t stay put and the rack is clumsy to deal with.
Does this work with the version 2 of the module?
As far as I know it does! Please get in touch through experts@drum-tec.de to double check though. Kind regards!
How does this sound so much better than a stock td 17? Especially the toms?
We try to improve the module´s stock sounds as far as possible by mixing/editing/tuning based on the onboard sound engine. You can find the sound edition over here:
www.drum-tec.com/real-acoustics-sound-edition-roland-td-17-download
Kind regards!
Ralph, any chance of a video of the TD15 sounds
Hi, there actually is a video demo of the TD-15 Special Sound Edition over here:
ua-cam.com/video/yEdcOY31Jpg/v-deo.html
Kind regards!
What's uuuup with those clangy st. anger snares man? Do people actually think that sounds good?
Sounds awesome, what an upgrade for the TD-17! Does each drum on each kit have a one-shot sample added, or is it just the snares?
Thank you very much! There are some snare samples, but not in all of the kits as far as I know. Kind regards!
I just Import the sounds and its unbelieveble good conparing with the org. Td 17 Sounds. Highly Recommended!!!
Thank you Serkan, that's great to hear! Happy drumming & kind regards
are there stores outside of Germany that carry these kits ? specifically in Thailand ?
The kit is a drum-tec diabolo series electronic drum kit, which you can also find as complete kits or single pads over here:
www.drum-tec.com/sets/drum-tec-diabolo
www.drum-tec.com/pads/drum-tec-diabolo
For any further questions or an individual quote incl. international shipping, please get in touch through info@drum-tec.de! Kind regards
But what I want to hear are really fast rolls on the toms... They tend to get very machine gunny.
The TD17 should be better about that because they’re modeling the toms not using samples. I’m about to get a TD17, will see how it sounds
does it include cymbal sounds too?
YES LAWD!
If you get your module from drum-tec, it comes with the free Live Sound Edition which is cool out of the box if you´re not using midi out:
ua-cam.com/video/mO1ZXei-k6Y/v-deo.html
Doing my best on the playalong compillation! ;-D kind regards!
I use to use a td12 sound module, great for msny pads and configurations, but the internal sounds in my opinion are obsoletes.
what would be your option if you had only 500 euros to buy a module????
Tks in Advance!!!

@@federicomontini7585 Then go for a TD-17, it´s more flexible than a TD-25 and the onboard sounds can actually be quite useful for practicing & rehearsing, you could get a drum-tec Sound Edition for example:
ua-cam.com/video/SDaefx6Mk5U/v-deo.html
Kind regards!
That is amazing! Are all of those sounds in the TD-17?
Hey Michael, this is the drum-tec Real Acoustics Sound Edition, that you can download for your Roland TD-17 sound module:
www.drum-tec.com/real-acoustics-sound-edition-roland-td-17-download
It contains some additional samples, as well as mixed/edited onboard TD-17 sounds. Kind regards!
Ok, I just purchased a TD-17 module for my hybrid kit. How do I get these new kits loaded onto the module?
So excited!!!!
@@DirtyJobsGuy1 ua-cam.com/video/kd0NwoZjEBo/v-deo.html
Amazing , is there any video where I can hear how loud the pads are ?
Here´s a (rather old) video, which shows the pads´ noise levels recorded from an overhaed microphone.

drumtecTV Woow ! I liked it , so I can freely practice and record some lessons at home.

Then you must be one of the folks having produced loops for the Logic Pro X library, because these guitar patterns were taken from there :-D
Take my money!
:-D
I just got this edition. Are the rims on the toms for a lot of these kits meant to be percussion sounds instead of the tom rim sound?
Many of the kits have percussion/fx sounds on the tom rims indeed, as shown in the demo :) kind regards!
I’m about to buy myself a td17kvx but have no idea how to load these new kits on to it as I’m a complete newbie to electronic kits 😐. Is it through the sd card or can they be loaded by usb direct from your laptop?
Yes via sd card, it´s super easy:
ua-cam.com/video/kd0NwoZjEBo/v-deo.html
Kind regards!
Kind regards & happy drumming.
drumtecTV super thanks a million!
Ok I bought the real-acoustics package but what do I do next? How do I get it into the module?
Hi, there should be an instructional pdf included. Please format your sd card inside of the TD-17 module to get the correct folder structure, then copy the kit data into the "Roland"->"Kit" folder on the sd card and follow this easy onscreen tutorial:
ua-cam.com/video/kd0NwoZjEBo/v-deo.html
If you need any further assistance, please refer to your TD-17 manual or get in touch through service@drum-tec.de! Kind regards

I do studio recording and bought a TD17KV, will the custom kits give me good sound from the module without having to rely with ezdrummer? Cheers
Well, you can obviously listen to all the kit sounds in this video & decide for yourself :-D just use your studio headphones for monitoring, these are the unedited direct output signals from the module showcasing all included kits.
