Linda, that meatloaf reminds me of my mama she would make those pretty often when she was alive. She never did any of those fancy other types of recipes she just did the basic one like what you did she would use tomato sauce over hers is the only difference but she did use that oatmeal that’s what I was always used to, sweet potatoes remind me of my grandmother and my daddy still likes sweet potatoes. He loves them and actually I have two big ones at home and I know one has started to sprout and I need to see if I can cook it for him.

Linda let me share with you this thought from listening to the live chat. You can put the crockpot or electric roaster etc. out side and cook outside. I do that on the pool porch so the house doesnt get so hot.

Looks good! I put seasoned pork grinds in mine just the ones you get at the store in the chips isle. Sounds weird but it's so good. It acts as the breading and some of the seasoning.

You never store potatoes in the plastic baggies , I use a tomato ketchup / brown sugar topping and bake it

Miss Linda may I make a suggestion ? When I do my meat loaf I do just like you now I never put any fillers in mine and when I mix mine I put the a half of can in my meat loaf when I’m mixing it up the the other half I pour over the top before I bake it and I love sweet potatoes with mine also love watching you girl and we use to be neighbors lol I use to live in Arlington but moved East to the country

I have made it before but I did not cook it, I put it in a jaradded salt, etc. And it stayed on the counter for about 2 weeks

Linda love your channel you amaze me in a good way we are close to the same age totally different in our cooking style what would make you think pizza sauce would be good?
Why not ketchup brown sugar and maybe a little vinegar and pepper pizza sauce doesn't go with meatloaf.Lauri from Idaho

My mother's meatloaf was made with oatmeal and so is mine. In fact ,when I made it with bread crumbs ,it reminded me of dog food.
