For everyone that wanted to see the Reel catching a fish.. here ya go. Caught a 35 lb flathead in current on this Reel, handled it just fine. ua-cam.com/video/4sW4Rl1MC7E/v-deo.htmlsi=PvNfVJtmxBrxc6z_
Get a spring gauge tie the line to it and lock the drag down, then tie the line off to a tree. Then back away and tell us how many pounds you can pull at max drag. This would be some great info. Thanks!
I have a few of the warrior models. They have held up to my abuse, mainly in saltwater. I have caught 10-15lb king mackerel, small blackfin tuna, and mahi mahi with them.
I had that same problem with an very old Penn spinning reel. The end of the handle was too heavy and created a lot of centrifugal force when casting -- that engaged the auto-engage lever. The trick to avoid the problem was to position the handle forward. Then the handle could not rotate by centrifugal force any more when I casted. Still, this was just a workaround.
I had several of the Shakespeare Tidewater reels. Same thing happened regularly. I got where I would take one of those really small bunjees and zip tie to pole so I could hook the handle and stop that from happening
Try backing off the drag when casting. This should allow the handle to turn without tripping the auto engage during free spool. Please post if it works.
Hey brother great video! Ive watched the other ones and i wanna say congrats on your success! The views are flyin and youre doin a great job. Keep doin what youre doin man! 👊👍
Great review video looks like it's going to work out pretty well the test will be when you get one of those Mississippi River hogs on it keep those lines tight my friend
Great video brother.. that rod looks hot too.. mark the line every foot for however many yards. Throw it out amd start reeling as you time it. Ive had that happen to reels ive owned, where it would engaged and do the same thing. Sounds smooth as all get out. If it has issues casting big weights, use it for drifting or somewhere you dont need to cast
Retrieve rate 3,8:1 Drag 28kg (62lbs) And it's not really ment for casting you can tell by the lack of a casting brake. It's for trolling and deep sea fishing where you just drop down.
hey i just bought the dtr 40 and idk why but ive spooled it twice but when i cast it it birds nest and the sides of the spool have loose strands of braids. same thing when i had put 40lbs mono. how did you spool yours? do you start at a certain point on the spool?
I didn't start at any specific point on the spool.. I would say tighten the spool tension know quite a bit more until it doesn't Backlash then start loosening a little at a time. Sounds like the the spool is just very loose, I could be wrong. I just spooled mine normally going on the reel the same direction it came off the spool.. keep me updated, let me know what ya get figured out please..
@@FishinNFreedom1776 Thank you ill keep that in mind next time i go fish. Im using a 6’6ft rod and was told by someone that i should change rod because its too short. ill let you know what happens🙏
@@FishinNFreedom1776 Hey richard i tuned the tension knob today and did some dry casts out in the bayou and man it was the relief i felt when it casted perfectly. i had just put some 80lbs braid on today bc im not really a mono kinda guy and i was really hoping i didnt mess it up first cast. i appreciate you alot man🙏thanks for being helpful
@icaDauz Man that's great to hear! Glad wasn't nothing wrong with the reel. I sure appreciate you watching and for the support. Hope ya catch some good fish on the reel! 👊🏻
I think these are great and maybe damaging at the same time. I dont want them to take away from main line brands, but also maybe these brands are pricing people out of fishing and this will be what balances it back out. Id like to see some decent quality rods coming out of this app and testing as well as these reels seem to.
Two things!!! First...I always wondered about Temu... Second...only have one other fishin channel in my line up...Fishin n Stuff...cause that guy is a wild man... LOL 😆... Now I have added you...now that I am an ole man...don't fish alot..but enjoy watching!!!👍👍👍😎👀✔️
Well thank you very much! I appreciate it. And Keith from Fishin N stuff is a great guy and hilarious! Had the pleasure of meeting him once. I'm honored to be one of your fishing channels along side of Keith. God bless 👍🏻
ty brother im like you for the price i can get use to it lol and great for kids wantting to try a baitcaster btw you sure yor not out practicing for deer season so you dont have to buy arrows and ammo kockem in the head with a 6 0z lead
What I want to know is what happens when you hook a tarpon or big cobia or fat grouper with it. Or even something really big in the freshwater. I'm curious about how the drag and frame deal with a 100 lb fish. If it can't do that I'll have to stick to my Penns. And even if it catches a few big fish I probably will stick to Penn.
It's no longer available on Temu but I found it on Amazon. Here is the link Sougayilang Trolling Reel Level Wind Conventional Reel Graphite Body Fishing Reel, Durable Stainless-Steel, Large Line Capacity a.co/d/fJIRZHU
I’ve never bought from any of the secondhand sites like Temu or Wish but I’ve purchased a few setups on Amazon and they’ve honestly surprised me more than some name brand setups bc they’re not supposed to work or last or even be functional but they do well. Even over time, just have to be selective

Thanks for the review. I also get all the timu ads and always wonder how does a $4 reel go. Not to bad apparently 👍🏽
I got a bait runner from them on Temu today for $6.25. Thanks for the review

What was the cost of that reel
that clicker used for catfishing so when big flatheads or blues run with it you can let them run some with the bait

Absolutely not, this reel would just blow up if you hook a tuna.@armenmkrtchyan4865

Its pretty cool to be able to say my tackle lead&hooks cost more than the reel I am using! WINNING😜

I rite whith my left Hand i buy left or right?

If you write with your left hand then you need a left hand reel. 👍🏻

Would.this be good for tuna ?
I think it would be a little small for tuna. Probably not near enough line capacity or drag.
@@FishinNFreedom1776 hmm. Ok so this can hold .400 meter 37mm 56lb threaded line is that not enough for like 50 lb tuna ? Or am I missing something?
@armenmkrtchyan4865 oh I was thinking like huge yellow fin or something lol.. I'm not a saltwater guy. Yea it should be plenty big enough for that.
@@FishinNFreedom1776 oh good. Yeah should be ok I guess for a first reel. Thank you

Do they have any without a power handle
I didn't see this model without it.. I bought a Warrior 6000 from Amazon that didn't have a power handle, may be worth lookin into
Put your handle forward pointing at the end of rod and it's already forward and will not turn and engage the reel.
