The video was incredible. This has been the most interesting Advent video yet.

This is the best video in the series by far. However, I still feel that very little content is given. It seems that either not much is known about the chromosomes, or that the creators think the audience is not so smart to understand

So I shouldn't be staring into my TV watching UA-cam at 2:40am if I ever expect to go to bed ... yea probably not.

but... what if you're blind because your eyes got destroyed? is there no way to regulate the internal clock then? how do those people keep their day/night cycle?

There are other genes that keep the clock going, but it won't be reset anymore when it drifts off from what's going on in the environment, at least not reset by light. He says light is the most important signal at 1:15 not that it's the only one so I suspect there are other ways of regulating it.

No matter how hard I fight it, I'm a hopeless night owl.

My circadian rhythm doesn't seem to work. I just woke up after about 7hrs and I feel more tired than when I went to sleep.

Try less sleep at a time (works for me!)
4 - 5 hours at night and 1 - 2 hours nap in afternoon, or when you can.
Feel a lot better waking up (with no alarm) and rarely get that 'more tired' feeling or struggle to wake

The problem I have is that it can make some time for me to get to sleep. It's not practical for me to nap either.

Whoa. Chromosome 10 is critically important to sleep.

I see your point. Bad pun, sorry. (My reply to self, before someone else beats me to it: I see what you did there.)

What regulates my body clock? Me! I am the one who can control light, not the other way around. Seems like another pro-government, pro-traditional worker society propaganda video to me.
