- I've already covered the top 10 free things to do in Stockholm, but in this video I list the top 10 things to do for less than €30 when you're visiting the capital of Sweden!
Sweden is expensive, and Stockholm is the most expensive city in the country. But that doesn't mean that everything costs a fortune. I've selected the top 10 things to do if you want to stay on a small budget. This list includes:
- Java Whiskers, Sweden's first cat cafe
- Haga Butterfly Ocean (Fjärilshuset), where you can see a thousand free-flying butterflies
- Visit the Royal Castle, the official residence of the King of Sweden
- A trip to Sigtuna, Sweden's oldest town, just north of Stockholm
- Retro gaming and arcades at N3rds Bar and HEY STHLM
- Rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board to see Stockholm from a different perspective
- Museums! There are tons of great museums in the city, and these are some of my top picks
- The ICEBAR, the world's first permanent ice bar
- Skansen is the world's oldest open-air museum as well as a zoo, and its well worth a visit
- Finally, a trip to the archipelago is a must if you're visiting Stockholm
All of these things can be done for less than €30, or 300 Swedish crowns. I also list a number of honorable mentions that are not included for various reasons. In some cases because they aren't specific to Stockholm - and in some cases because you can just barely find a ticket for €30 on the very cheapest of days. Those honorable mentions include, for example, the Gröna Lund amusement park and escape rooms.

Big thanks to Thomas Merrill who suggested this in my Top 10 Free Things video! Brilliant idea to list the "decently priced" things to do in the city as well 😀
Great video very informative thank you !❤
Thank you so much! :D Appreciate it
I'm still trying to decide where to book my lodging in Stockholm. My local Swedish friends in town want to take me to see the old royal ship that sank in the harbour.
I like that ship - the Vasa. It's a bit expensive to see, but it's full of interesting history. And lodging depends a bit on what one expects, but I prefer simple three star hotels. That's still around 1000-1500 SEK though.
Tack för dina tips, nu vet jag vad jag ska göra nästa gång jag hälsar på morfar;) Bra redigerat btw😃👍🏽
Tack så mycket! Och haha ja man behöver lite tips på billigare saker, speciellt nu för tiden...
Thinking of coming to Stockholm for a City break and found your channel. Really good info and really enjoy your videos. Stockholm looks like a great city break destination
Really happy to hear that :D I'm a bit biased but I love Stockholm personally - even though it is a bit pricey. And it's been really cold for a couple of months too...
Some nice tips Three Star! Stockholm can still be explored for a little bit of money!
Exactly! It's an expensive place but not everything costs an arm and a leg :D
Great tips!! New subscribers here!!
Thank you so much :D Aah, fellow travelers I see - looks like you're up to a lot of fun stuff too!
I was looking forward to this week's video. You did a very good job. Like your other top 10 videos, you have made a very interesting list. Icebar and Skansen sound very nice to visit. Although many events are more specific to the summer, you are absolutely right Stockholm archipelago is worth seeing. Whenever I look at maps, Vaxholm always catches my eye. I would love to complete this list one day. Cats and games can stay. I don't have good memories with them 😅 See you on your next adventure but most importantly have a great day! 😄
Haha, I guess games and cats appeal more to me 'cause I'm such a weird geek. But yeah, a lot of the activities in Stockholm are best during summers...but when the snow comes I'm going to try something new: I'll see what the archipelago is like in winter! And I think winter in general is more fun than rainy autumn... But thank you so much, and hope you can see Skansen and Vaxholm one of these days :D Haha, have an AWESOME day!
@@ThreeStarVagabond I dont make ruin the suprise but is it gonna be top 10 best archipelago of Stockhol video ?
Stockholm* I hope , noone of grammar police will see that 😅
@@doguskoyuncu5177 Haha, actually not - I'm just going to explore the islands during winter, and see what one can do. Sauna, ice activities and just look at the barren winter nature :D And probably some history about the islands too...
@@ThreeStarVagabond Sounds interesting. So we can learn lot of things about how Swedes spend their time in winter. 😄
Lovely 🌹
Thank you! :D
Could you make a list of things to do during the winter?
1. Drink
2. Ski
3. Afterski
Nah, just kidding! Maybe I could think of some cool things - thanks for the idea 😀
I will add that the Medieval museum has closed indefinitely until they have found a new place
Unfortunately yes! I was really sad to see that :(
Go to Skansen you done😂
Haha, I agree :D
when is the egypt video coming?
So sorry for the delay! I'll see if I can get that one out sooner than the rest of the Europe stuff I have... Haha, I think I went to too many places!
