    In and Out claims they do not freeze any of their ingredients in their stores, which limits their expansion because of the impacts on its supply chain. They do make a good burger. If you are ever in Minnesota, a "Butter Burger" at Culver's is a must...along with their frozen custard.

    The U.S. was like, "Gonna give Miro a sunburn!!!" That, or all the burgers got to you. But...what a great and fun video! If it's any indication of what's to come from your recent travels in the states, there's a lot of wonderful videos coming. While I've not had Whataburger in decades, that looked a bit different than what I remember (they were acquired a handful of years ago and some people said they changed), but much of your description of the onions and mustard sounded accurate. I've not seen the massive Las Vegas location, so that was fun to see as well.
    And man, as a kid I LOVED White Castle 'cause I could eat so many. We didn't have them in the northern Chicago suburbs, so I only got White Castle when visiting relatives in the city after we moved out. (And you'd think I was a demigod when I told friends how many burgers I ate 😀)
    I only worked at McDonalds one day in my life, and almost 40 years later, I can recall how evil Big Mac sauce became when hit with very hot water when cleaning those bins!

    Just got back to the US from a visit to Stockholm, and had a chance to stop at a MAX. Had a Max Classic, Would probably give it an 8 out of 10 for fast food burgers, or 6 out of 10 for all burgers. Ingredients we top notch. My issues were that the first bite something tasted burnt. Not sure if part of the bun was over toasted or what. Also probably half the lettuce falls off the burger unless you smash it into the bun. So, since you went to Wendy's early, you probably got a freshly made one which could contribute to why it was on par. I do have to ask about your health and energy levels travelling around the US and having this diet. Also, since you're exploring the US, I have to recommend Portland Oregon and Brooklyn NYC. I'm in Gainesville Florida, but it's more political than touristy, however if you want a taste of deeper US those are two areas I recommend exploring. There's a show called Portlandia that used to be good as well, but it might have not aged the best.
    You'd definitely be able to find more 'craft' burgers in those areas, and also the best vegan food you'll have in your life in the Pacific Northwest.

    Is Max better than typical U.S chains? Yes. Does it match Five Guys , In and Out, Shake Shack, etc.? Absolutely not. The best burger i had (so far) in Sweden was at a place called Bullseye Saloon in Karlskoga. 10/10.

    As an American that travels to sweden on an annual basis because my wife visits her family. I always try their fast foods. I have had all their fast foods and found maxi to be bland. Plus, the swedes lack the sauces and ingredients(they like it simple) that make a potential great burger. I prefer American burgers. Also prefer burgers from mom and pop restaurants. Only good thing in Sweden is kebab pizza and the kebabtallrik. Also love the diary products which is much better than America.

    I'm Swedish and have a hard time understanding the excitement over MAX. Better than McDonald's? Sure, but most buger chains are. McDonald's is successful because they're cheap, easily accessible, convient and family friendly. In Sweden, the prime contender to MAX, as well as McDonald's, is Burger King. Just like elsewhere, they're a bit more expensive than McDonald's, but in my experience especially grown ups tend to prefer their burgers. Of course, the stuff BK do can't be compared to what burger lovers consider to be the 'real deal', but at least they use 100% pure beef in their patties. MAX does not. I felt there was something fishy with Max even before I found out on this. Max uses a lot of fillers in their patties. Max sell what we in Sweden call 'pannbiffar'.

    • @ThreeStarVagabond
      @ThreeStarVagabond 4 місяці тому

      For me, I actually like Max quite a bit despite the meat content! But I agree that BK also is very nice. I think the fries are better at BK, but if I want to get a milkshake I prefer Max. 1/3 lb less than 1/4 lb! Maybe this is what happens to the brain when you eat too much fast food 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I find Maccas (McDonalds in Australia) to be overpriced and underwhelming- getting more expensive for less overall and frankly whenever I’ve eaten it, it makes me feel sick. I found In and Out ok when in LA but best burger I’ve had here in Australia - in Melbourne and Adelaide at least, comes from a local restaurant called Bettys Burgers. Back when I was a child in New Jersey, we had a burger joint called Goodies and to this day I feel they had the best simple cheeseburger! Loved the vlog Miro - will be trying a Max burger when I am in Sweden (12days to go! Woohoo!)
    And as a bit of useless info - White Castle is old - my mother flipped burgers there part time to help pay bills when my father was working his way through college! She was 17 - considering she passed away at 82 in 2016 shows how long White Castle’s have been around!
