I love Prague, have been there several times and it never gets boring.. Such magical atmosphere is difficult to resist...Whoa I miss it so much now 😐 Great video and very useful tips as always, thanks!
Just want to say thank you for opening our eyes to some great places, tips and recommendations. Have follwed you now for months and much of our next trip to Europe is based on you channel.
Hi Rok, Having been a faithful follower for several months now, I just wanted to say thank you for your quality work. Quite honestly I don’t understand why your videos haven’t gotten more views. They are so informative to cultural travelers and learners. Good luck and I hope I can be on one of your tours one day!!!
The Petřín funicular is slated to be fully out of service by November or December 2024 - for repair and reconstruction works and new carriages installed. Service should be operational again in mid 2026. In October 2024, it seems to be special funicular tours only - better check before planning to use.
As an expat who's lived here for over 15 years, this contains all the top tips. nice one. Although I'm not sure about the pickpocket reputation - I've never seen, heard of, or experienced it personally, but of course it's always good to be vigilant. Don't put your call phone in your back pocket on public transport, I guess?
Loved this! Great info for first timers. I got mistaken for a beggar when I sat down on the kerb to eat my raspberries and made 900 crown. I had a suite at the Savic. My travel tip is look homeless you wont get bothered by beggars
Hi Rok. Thanks for this very informative video. Do you have a list of MUST HAVE apps to install on mobile phones for Prague visitors? Same for Budapest?
I am planing to go in October to the Prague Coffee Festival will be on the the holešovice market any advice on the accommodation near that area? Love the video btw very informative
Thanks for the video, I will be in Prague for 2 days in October. I am flying to Paris first and going to 7 countries in 8 days, my last 2 in Prague. Should be challenging 😊
Hi ROK, the best video I have seen on Prague tips. We are coming over in May 2025 we are over 70, is there seniors discounts available, I know public transport is free for over 65 are there discounts for seniors on other things? Thanks
Thanks, happy you like it 🤗 Yes, there are discounts for seniors, like public transport, but for entrance fees you have to ask as things are changing all the time. They will want to see some ID or seniors card though. Hope this helps.
When I was in Budapest, I was informed that public transportation is only free for EU residents over 65, not for tourist. Please double check because the fines can be hefty.
All these scams are true, apart from pickpockets. We have far fewer pickpockets than most tourist cities in Europe, like Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Berlin...
CZ is NOT in the eurozone :) Eurozone are countries that adopted Euro, which CZ did not. However, CZ is a part of the EU, which is not the same as Eurozone, and not the same as Schengen area

I visited Prague in December 2023 and had a great time. Beautiful city. I never needed cash, I paid everything, including tips, on my debit card.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
Can i ask where you stayed and would you recommend it?
@@karenvaneck7511 if I knew I would tell you. We found a studio through Booking on the edge of the old city; it wasn’t a hotel.

Thanks 🤗 Sure try this www.discovercars.com/?a_aid=rokgoesaround. But I wouldn't use car in Prague as parking is a nightmare.
Great video. I love Prague.

Seriously, this was a good informative video.
Thanks 🤗 Glad you like it. I was referring to beer foam 😉
Can you please suggest name of some local bank ATMs where I can withdraw cash?
Any ATM that belongs to any bank is a good option.
Hi, which plugin did u use for the list items on the left side of the screen? I wanna use that for my cooking channel also lol, it looks so nice!
No plugin. I've made it myself 🤗

Holy s!it that's some meat! At 10:23
Chimey Cake is Hungarian..
As a Czech I can tell you Czech food is not a cuisine you MUST try. Nothing healthy or memorable about it.
hi Rok, Czech republic IS in eurozone, but have own tradicional money - CZ crowns...! the same have Poland, Hungary, Romania...OK?
CZ is NOT in the eurozone :) Eurozone are countries that adopted Euro, which CZ did not. However, CZ is a part of the EU, which is not the same as Eurozone, and not the same as Schengen area
Exactly right.
So many scams and rip offs. Why would want come here.
Because you can avoid them, and it is very beautiful 🤗
I just got back from Prague. It's the least problematic and threatening city I have ever visited.
I live in Prague 8 years, no fckn problem. Rock is little bit liar. Don't be stupid, never exchange money on the street, but I never seen that..
Koukněte američani, nebuďte ze všeho tak vyplesklý! Česká republika je velmi vyspělá a bezpečná země ( samozřejmě se stane ,že někdo začne střílet na veřejnosti, bylo to u nás poprvé )
Forget Prague, just go to Amsterdam.
Why not both?
@rokgoesaround because you don't get scams and you get to smoke weed in Amsterdam . In Prague the shops just pretend to sell weed lol
Shut up, prauge is brill
@winwinwin282828, both countries have their ups and downs. Basing your opinion solely on drugs shows no maturity.
Do not trust someone who cannot spell.
PRAGUE is bland, like Birmingham... I just wouldn't bother. Amsterdam is the place to go in Europe.
