Hej Vagabond! Just saw you like 10mins ago next to Katarina Elevator, while we following your path from this video. What are the odds?? :D Didnt dare to say Hej to you in person. Anyways, my respect and thanks for the content! BR, from Hungary, ohh actually for now BR from Stockholm
Oh you should have said hi! I was just on my way to Akkurat - filming a video about the Swedish National Beer Day now 😀 I hope you're having an awesome time walking through the city! It's not all that hot today at least - good for some walking. Cheers and hope you have a great rest of your visit!
Excellent video! We recently traced your footsteps in many of those locations. It’s very easy to walk to most places in Stockholm. We walked from our hotel in Södermalm to Djurgarden without realising how far we’d gone. It was our first visit last month and we’re definitely on a mission to visit again next year (and find some ‘crappy bars’ 😉)!
Thank you! And you had great timing visiting last month instead of now - it's been pouring down for ages... Glad that you enjoyed a nice long walk! And yes, definitely check out some of the crappy...oh, I mean, picturesque bars you can find :D
Thank You for all of the videos, I think this was one of your best, you’ve given me quite a few more Place I want to go visit next time we come back to Stockholm. I must say you have some of the most interesting museums I only went to three , due to time restraint , the six days we were there was definitely not enough time. Stay safe till next time.
Thank you so much! So happy to hear that - and yeah, I hope you get the opportunity to explore more of Stockholm. We'll have to get a beer if you do! :D Cheers!
Looked like a perfect day for it! I will be in Stockholm & Uppsala in a few weeks for a day each, your vids have been very helpful planning my time there and are really good fun to watch 😊 Hopefully the British weather doesn’t follow me!
Thank you so much! Haha, well....right now it's going to rain for a week straight, so let's hope that you bring slightly less bad weather with you. Or that things clear up a bit until then :D
Hi you beat my steps by 175 more😂, I had 32801 and my feet and knees was hurting😅 for days. It was a nice pleasure to meet you at Stromma Ticketstation for the "12 Bridge Tour". Next time I'll take the public ride day ticket. The german tourist Jens
It was so nice to meet you, and I just felt that I had to mention you in the video :D Hope the rest of your trip was great! Haha, we sure had the weather for it back then....
Yes Bridge Tour was amazing, visit Westfield Mall of Scandinavia and in the evening we ate at "Meatballs for the peoples". When we arrived Arlanda Airport on Sunday late morning it starts raining cats and dogs 😢, hope the weather will getting back to summer also here in Germany.
@@jensta77 Sounds like you had a lot of fun! I love Mall of Scandinavia 😀 And well... Right now I think everyone is hoping for better weather. North Europe has storms and rain, and in the south they're burning up instead :/
@@ThreeStarVagabond Now I'm curious about what I know about Stockholm (VERY limited knowledge) that you may not know. When you were near the Fotografiska museum, Cynthia said, "Hey, I think Miro is right by Herman's restaurant!" (How she knew that is beyond me.) I know that if we ever visit Stockholm, it's high on her list of restaurants to check out. She wondered if you've ever been there.
Very nice video! Informative and beautiful. Your advice is much appreciated! I really enjoyed it and I’m excited to put it in practice next week. Just a little cooler time of the year😅❄️
Thank you so much! And well, it's definitely going to be cooler - but maybe that's a good thing if you're planning on walking a lot :D Don't forget many layers of clothes, though!
Thank you so much for this. I think it would take much longer to do than just a day, if you were to visit the museums. Plus, being older, well, I don't walk as quickly as I used to. I think apart from my big Nordic Adventure, I might have to do a few city breaks in Stockholm. Fortunately there are flights from out local airport, Liverpool John Lennon. I'm wondering how many museums close for winter? I know the Vasa and the Historika and the galleries are open in winter as I 've been then. As a native of Scotland, I would like to avoid the midge/mosquito season!! What do you suggest?
This is a bit of a long walk even for younger legs, so it makes perfect sense to only do a part of it. For example, from the city out to Djurgården and the museums over there - and maybe take the tram back. Regarding mosquitoes, Stockholm is actually pretty much mosquito free even in summer. I think late summer / early autumn (or spring) is a good time to visit. Not so many crowds, and most things are open. The museums in particular are open pretty much year round. But there are some destinations, particularly in the archipelago, that are only open during summer. So that's worth noting.
Remember Arizona is total hell from April to October. The best time to visit Arizona is October to April. Hope you make it. Take care @@ThreeStarVagabond
That's actually the official flag of Fenno-Swedes. Or maybe Swedish Finns. Not sure what they're called, but it's a combination of Swedish and Finnish colors
Excellent question, and the answer is...it depends. There's no general law against drinking in public, but there might be local restrictions in certain municipalities. And if you get Swede-drunk, then you might be brought in for disturbing the peace
@@outer31 It's pretty good as long as you're in the right area. Some districts are like "huh, where are all the bars?! Nothing except for a crappy pizzeria"
