The Mudman is my favorite watch so watch my video on it: • I LIKE the MUDMAN even...
The screws that hold the band in place on the Rangeman came loose and some backed out while I was wearing it. So I contacted customer support and they referred me to the warrantee repair facility.

Jim, all the work, and even more important: your HONESTY, are very appreciated. I respect you for this and your informative videos! Thanks for the great work!👍👍
Thank you, sir! I appreciate your comments and your expertise.
Hey Jim,
Thanks for all your videos. Any update?
Thanks for the Information! I bought a Garmin Instinct 2X instead! Could you please do a Review of the Instinct 2X since I love to Watch your Videos!
Thanks for the comment! I’ll try and get my hands on one and review it.
The MTGM900DA-8 has two bars on the strap that you need two screwdrivers to screw it instead of four screws. My Frogman GWF-1000-1JF had a screw loose too. I think some Casio G-Shocks have small screw holes on the watch.
Are you kidding? The Frogman had a loose screw?!
@@JimKinkade Yes, my GWF-1000-LJF Frogman had one losoe screw and the case was stripped. If the GDBH2000 has one bar instead of two screws the the GDBH2000 is a stronger watch than the Rangenan GPRH1000.
Jim the ambassador of absolute toughness
It's a bit poor that Casio seems to use third party companies for repair/service in a large market like the US. I think in the UK you send your watch to Casio itself. I wouldn't have told USPS about the lithium battery. There is so little lithium I wouldn't expect it to be a safety hazard. They are more concerned about batteries like 18650s which have far greater capacity for potential damage.
True! Also, I still haven't got an update from the repair service.
Does the warranty cover liquid nitrogen 🧨 and petroleum distillates ☢️
no as petroleum will destroy the gaskets
This is a good question. I have some older tools in my collection, which are marked oil and coolant resistant on the handles. I don't know if casio mentioned anything about this in the user manual. In some cases it's even recommended to avoid solvents and other chemicals. In my experience all the resin straps on my casio watches degraded faster, especially the ones used at work in contact with grease, oil or cleaning solutions. Fluoroelastomer straps are better than the bioresin ones. Anyway I'm curious about the results.
it does say on the user manual to avoid contact with some chemicals, so I guess Jim really abused his watch since he ignored the precautions, G shock maybe branded as tough watches but there are always limitations.
here's the link for the user's manual from casio's website:
support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/009/qw3554.pdf
There's no evidence it was exposed to any of those things.

Hey Jim what's going on with your Watch have you heard anything can you Please give update on gpr-h1000
Dealing with the Casio support, Casio Repair service was one of the worst experiences in my life speaking of the ''customer services''....I sent a couple of watches to Casio UK....they didn't been able to tell me does they have a battery available for my 35 years old Casio, I had to send it instead....''our engineer has to take a look''.....and they wrote ''sorry, we don't have it''....what? oh yes, it took month and a half for the whole operation what a bunch of unprofessional monkeys....if I'm sure about something, I'm sure that I'm not dealing with those sheeps never again.....I got my own good old watchmaker, that's enough.
I realised that my brain is my own warranty. A Casio customer service, Casio warranty and Casio repair centres is a pointless and useless invention.
Casio warranty from the factory means nothing.
It's kind of an academic exercise at this point to go through their warranty repair process but I want to see how it plays out. I think we all know what will happen.
Nice
Thank you, sir. Stay tuned to see how Casio weasels out of responsibility.
I'm not saying its your fault- steel lugs would obviously be better on a watch that claims to be tough, but the solvents you soaked this thing in back at the start probably softened that plastic up a little.
Maybe but it wasn’t that much diesel.
I would have dropped it off at a landfill.
Good idea. I'll try that next time.
The warranty rules of Casio are not one red flag, but an OCEAN full of red flags! Really! It seems, that Casio themselves are not very convinced about the alleged toughness of their own watches... any suggestions ?! lol!!! Forgive me, dear Casio fans, but it`s very obvious!
😵
sometimes a movie is fun to watch even if you know how it's going to end.
I know it's just jokes but someone from TEXAS of all places calling anyplace else in the US "clown world" gave me a real chuckle
It's getting to where we need to fight back against clown world on ALL FRONTS!
