  • Today I wanted to share a little of my own experience of being a therapist using social media and how creating UA-cam content has affected me so far.

A bit of a different video today. What do you think?

Thank you for posting this. As someone who is unfamiliar with social media I've made some oversteps and mistakes. We definitely need a mandatory course in counselling.

I am thinking about it as a current student who has been making content before starting graduate school

I've had the same experience as a nutritionist who has to be in social media. As an Introvert who is also quite self-aware it's been tricky. I appreciate you sharing your experience with honesty.

Thank you for being an example of a therapist with social media who is responsible, not egotistical, and doing this purely for the right reasons. This video, and the particular type of transparency you have here, makes it clear that you’re aligning with therapeutic principles.

Hi J. I really appreciate your comment and am glad that my approach is communicating the message/s that I hope. I think the time of therapist's being entirely behind closed doors is coming to an end - but finding the balance is so important.

Love the new location too. Terrific lighting and you look amazing. Never thought about the need for privacy as a therapist. I appreciate your candor…it makes you real and accessible. Please don’t take any videos down! We’re all learning and showing your growth is a good example for us all. There’s a difference between making a good impression and presenting a false image. None of us are perfect, all the time, so it’s good to show that. Keep going. And guess what, nothing is 100% perfect” so give up the unrealistic goal for yourself. Bravo!
