If that engineer was actually "smart" he would've figured they'd do something like this since they had the launcher and ran on foot
I've been thinking the same ... all he had to do was close the door he entered and then go out the other side.... they wouldn't even know he'd escaped

The scene in the book is much better. Reacher speaks to the chopper pilot and asks if he flew the chopper the times when Langston killed his teammates. The pilot answers yes and Reacher personally executes him.
I think he made such assumption in the show... in an investigation, assumptions kill. And let one of his friends do the honors.
thats too hardcore in this scene. I think they executed it very well and translated it to the screen. You don't have the background internal mindset of the character (Reacher) in this scene so it would be too cruel in this moment. You know what i mean?

they probably wanted to show the capabilities of this rocket launcher as it was the focus of the series

O'Donnell is almost scary as Reacher when motivated/pissed off.

They made a guided munition that it can use around a decade ago, I believe it can also be fired from an adapted AT4

Great show if you've never read the books. Little Wing loads like a rifle. There wouldn't be a back blast when fired.

I love this show, but they also use a recoilless rifle to send an unguided artillery shell to bring down a helicopter and the back blast would seriously injure all 3 standing behind Neagley

You'd be surprised, just look up NLAW footage barely any recoil (I know its an anti tank weapon but still)

That's a Carl Gustav M4 84mm recoilless rifle. it does not have a round that performs like an air to air missile.
Odd choice for an 'anti aircraft' missile, an 84mm Carl Gustaf round that looked like it weighed about the right amount for the hollow plastic prop it was. Even funnier was the earlier scene where the propellent case had a little flap that opened, presumably to fit the magic chip into it, rather than into the projectile which might have made at least a tiny bit of sense.
They got blowed up real good.

Great tv series.. artistic license?? Not everything you see needs to be factual.. but it has to look GOOD to keep audience interested.. Season 3 . And please a full season of 16 or more episodes. Fillers?? Nah you're just not a true aficionado of the Reacher story.. Finley and Roscoe please !!
