Jack's friends in the service know his account. One of them sent Jack a coded message linked through his account. It was a series of numbers that only Jack would understand. At first he didn't know what the numbers were for. Later on he remembered and contacted the sender.

Your facts and timeline are wrong check when Joe actually died in Margrave Georgia investigating counterfeiting. That's when Jack boiled over. He was supposed to meet Joe there. The man dropped from the Helicopter, it originally in the novel happened in the desert.

Nice play by play, but yiu had the geography wrong in the middle. The team were in Boston, not Washington when Carla was seducing the guy and they were being interrogated by Finlay (who returned to Boston from Margrave after.the first season). The attack from the biker gang also took.llace while they were in Boston.

Why? Reacher, in the movies, is an average guy, so when he out-fights a group and/or a huge guy, he is not expected to win.
In the series, Reacher is a huge guy, so everybody expects him to win every fight.
The difference is like David and Goliath. Everybody wants to see movies about small David going up against big Goliath. Nobody wants to see a series about Goliath beating up everybody. Who cast the series? That was very bad casting and they didn't understand the idea of Jack Reacher.
