I don’t know how you do it, it’s a back breaking job to split and pile all that wood. To all the notifications I get from UA-cam, yours is always the first one I open. Thank You both for feeding us with your blessings!
Sure do love the passages you put at the end of each episode. Though I have read the Bible end to end many times, it amazes me how many verses I have come to anew through your closing verse. You are absolutely correct, By HIS hands we are Blessed. Have a blessed day.
Kinda miss the actual gardening videos but I assume you guys are still setting up hope to see more crop videos cause I miss the videos at the Virginia homestead
I really enjoyed that video and your voice is so peaceful to listen to nice calm and collected lol you should read stories and I could fall asleep at night I could listen to that voice all day keep up the good work
Hollis that was a lot of lifting and bending, that is a nice wood splitter, I think you're you enjoying your new toy😃👍. I'm looking forward to the gardening videos.GOD bless you both. EDUARDO MIAMI FL🇺🇸
Oh my Gosh it is so nice to see u guys on the homestead I had to keep watching the old videos God richly bless u all u are such a inspiration to me I don't recognize Hollis with that beard
I remember my days of splitting wood. I have built 2 splinters in my life. The 1st ran off my lawn and garden lawn mower. The second one had a 8 horse Briggs motor and a 4 inch cylinder. It was a war horse. Like you, the ax or maul was the hard way to split wood. I liked your video very much today.
The log splitter is an answered prayer! That’s a lot of hard labor if you had to do that with an ax!😳 Looks great stacked up 😊 Excellent video! 😇 Thank you for sharing.
Love your videos and outlook. My sweetie and I are 69 and 70 respectively and on 4 1/4 acres (about 3 is heavily wooded). You two have inspired us to quadruple our garden this year by building 8 additional grow boxes (8 x 4 feet corrugated metal with wood trim). It’s been a chore to get them built and now to get them filled with soil and planted, but we’re getting there. Thanks for all your inspiration and smiles. Love and hugs to you two and to Bing Bing 🥰🥰🥰
You mentioned a campsite, sounds exciting. And, my grandson noticed you didn't mention wheter or not Nancy helped with the log splitter assembly. So did she? Lol
Really nice splitter, Quartered that log with ease. That will save your back won't it? How's you Mother-in-law enjoying the homestead? Say hi to Bing for me.
Nancy here -Yes, it does save the back. My mother wants to move down to Florida around Thanksgiving, but she would like to live in an apartment near by. She is not ready to loose some of her independence yet. She knows, if she needs us she has a home with us.
I just watched your video on growing strawberries and your problem with birds eating them. My Grandfather used to paint small rocks red and place them all over the strawberry batch about a week before harvest. The birds would come and pecked the fruit by smacking their becks against a rock, it hurt them which teaches them a lesson not to eat my strawberries. Just an old timer's trick
Hi, we enjoy your videos. Hollis, you look like Grizzly Adams, the TV series. A real mountain man, except you are in Florida. Please keep the videos coming. Blessings in Jesus Name.
We were living in ga at the time I happen to go by a pawn shop now and saw a coffin mind you to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me I got a better look sure enough yes it was a real coffin .!
Nancy here - Hollis had his own commercial landscaping business for over 7 years, He also retired as Engineering Designer working over 40 years in Shipbuilding. Last retired at Huntington Ingell Shipyard, Hollis also in Charge of Griefshare Groups for churches (over 1,500 people went to the healing classes), Chaplain for Newport News Fire Department for oner 4 years. Nancy worked at Cox Communication as Inbound Customer Care (over 18 years) and retired last year, worked prior cook and Italian Restaurant and Chinese Restaurant. So the homestead has been our dream for many years. Now we are living the dream. God has given us the anointment to do all this and make the videos.
OK, obviously the box won't be used for your coffin, but too bad you bashed up all those nice wooden panels. Could'a made some nice Beehive covers or feeder boards. Oh well.
LOL. Don’t be fooled. The wood was so thin and untreated it couldn’t be used for anything outside. Believe me, I save everything I can that could be repurposed👍
@@HollisNancysHomestead Yes, Hollis, my comment was more tongue in cheek than serious. But I do wonder whether you have planned to keep any honeybees somewhere there on your property. That would certainly aid in the pollination of your wonderful garden, and produce some honey for Nancy's recipes as well.
That's a really nice wood splitter. I can't imagine what your shoulders and arms would have felt like without it. Thanks for sharing this video.

Nancy here - I love reading the Bible daily. It has over 5,500 promises if we read them. Wow, I am claiming as much as we can. Have a blessed day!
What a cool piece of equipment! You won’t lack for fire wood. I imagine going forward that just taking down sick trees will keep you in firewood.
Kinda miss the actual gardening videos but I assume you guys are still setting up hope to see more crop videos cause I miss the videos at the Virginia homestead
I love your adventures. God Bless you both and Bing Bing too...💕❤💕

Free mulch with a chipper / shredder. I have a Harbor Freight chipper and I love it.
I am so happy to see u guys ❤️ can't wait to see the new garden
Great video as always. That's a good splitter. Cuts it into 4 pieces.
How are you enjoying your new life in Florida Nancy? I’m pretty sure Hollis is having fun using his new toys, oh I mean tools.
Nancy here - loving it!
Hollis & Nancy's Homestead I’m so happy for you.
Better videos and editing! Congrats on happily making the move. The new splitter is a bit more than we need but your review is appreciated. Pax

Coffin-Funny!
My husbands says to go to the appliance store and just get one of there empty refrigerator box and bury him in it.
Great video. That machine is worth the cost.
That splitter is a beast.
you need a wood chipper too!
This was very satisfying.
Such a beautiful property
Have you got a vegetable garden this year I love those
They say age is just a number. People that stay busy stay young.
Still lot of lifting and bending! Good luck and God Bless!

Sure beats even using a wedge and sledgehammer. Enjoy your new toy.

Wood for open pit BBQ!!!!!

😮 Wow! 😮
what freight company delivered the log splitter? i work for r+l carriers and they're pretty big in Fl.
We bought it at Home Depot. They arranged for the delivery. Not sure who the delivery company was
Or that box could be a raised bed for veggies
You didn’t save the box!😂. Also why don’t you grind the excess wood for mulch rather than burn it? Saves on having to buy mulch...
Where in Florida ?
Orange Springs
🙏❤️🙏
hollis ...., you may have talked about this in the past … if so I missed it …. but what did you and Nancy do before becoming homesteaders

Doesn’t look like your being very gentle with that box!
Heck I use the manual 4 ton log splitter. LoL.
