Welcome to Florida. You guys are doing a wonderful thing. Such hard work will bring you such beautiful results. I can't wait to tag along for the ride and learn some tips and tricks. Thank you Hollis and Nancy for taking the time to document these things and educate others. 💚
I enjoyed watching and learning about gardening when you guys lived in Va. But I am really excited about this HUGE homestead projects that you guys working now and years to come. Looks like a lot of fun and hard work . Thanks for sharing and I will be watching your progress from Ga. God Bless you and your Homestead..I also enjoy listening to you guys closing your video with a prayer. It is nice to see people that are thankful to LORD for the Blessing you have received, Stay humble my friends
Wow, what a difference!!! Doesn't it make you feel good when a plan starts coming together? I look forward to seeing what you and Nancy do with this property. Very inspiring.
If anyone deserves that beautiful land, it is you two! May God bless you and keep you! Amen! Also, thank you for supporting the pulp and paper industry with your trees! Much love, Robin.
My husband was a logger here in NC all his life and his father before him. I love the way you refer to delimbing your trees as "shucking" them. That is too cool and you have the best burn pit I have ever seen!
Hollis, Wahoo that's going to be a big Garden, the aerial view was beautiful, I love it, I now want to see how you are going to amend Florida's sand, that's going to be interesting, looking forward for that video.GOD bless you both. EDUARDO MIAMI FL 🇺🇸
Oh! This is such a huge milestone for your new homestead. I remember how beautiful your Virginia garden plot was and this new Florida lot will give y'all the room you need to provide amazingy, nourishing food all year long. Thank you for sharing your plans, your process and your excitement. Cheers!
I love your videos. You have shown me that container gardening is a doable thing. I live in Kansas with a yard that is full of Bermuda grass! And bindweed, and I refuse to let it win. I have worked for twenty years on this yard and lost the fight every year! So I am taking down my raised beds, because they are now full of bermuda grass, and using the concrete blocks to build up wooden beds that the bermuda cannot get into. I have a new roommate that is an older lady who loves to garden and she cannot bend over anymore, so it will all work out perfectly. You guys are wonderful people, thank you for sharing your lives with me and the rest of the world.
Hollis and Nancy another great post for your followers to view I love it I cannot hardly wait to see the finished garden it’s going to be magnificent absolutely magnificent that I believe with all my heart take care of each other love each other and above all keep healthy and strong.🙏🏻😘🙏🏻
I should not have watched this right at bedtime! I got so excited to see the garden plans, space and dreams. I may have a hard time getting to sleep. 😉 I am beyond thrilled for you both and for Bing Bing’s newfound freedom. He is also living the dream. My 70 year old body has been offloading garden soil for our grow boxes from our pickup as well as shoveling a dump truck of delivered garden soil for a week now. We still have about 3 days of shoveling left to fill all of our new raised beds we built with corrugated metal roofing trimmed with 2x4s. The work is tiring but provides great satisfaction as you well know. I love your way of thinking as you implement your dreams. As you end your videos with “by His hands”, I see YOUR hands and hearts working right along with Him Thanks for sharing your videos and journey with other retirees like us. You inspire us with all you do May God continue to bless your journey. Love you both...and Bing Bing 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for the prayers we love them and can use as much as we can get. We pray for a fresh anointing from God to help you with all your tasks and may God continue to bless you and your family. Amen
around 7:30, you talk about rejuvenating the soil. I'd love for you to one day put together a video on how you revive poor soil for in ground gardens. I'm in EastTN and our soil is nearly pure clay. I have a bunch of ideas and plans on how I'll turn my soil into good stuff, but I'm also interested in your methods. Cheers!
How Exciting! I can't wait to see the masterpiece finished! How fun and fulfilling it will be ❤ may God Bless you and your family and your new adventures!
Wow! Great ground breaking! Just found the transforming video after watching for years. Nice to see how this homestead started. I felt your excitement too! Thanks for the ride too!
That was splendid! The garden area is huge! I can't wait to see you reap the rewards of all the hard work and harvest those beautiful veggies. That soil sure is sandy! I am very interested in seeing how you transform that soil and make it suitable for planting.
Wow congratulations on your new property! I'm so excited for you! The Lord has abundantly blessed you and I know you and Nancy will be very successful. God bless you friends!
All the trees I am cutting down on my lot in Florida I am going to let that go to fertilizing the soil. You could pile logs into a trench and berm over that for a raised bed type garden. Those trees with leaves would slowly breakdown into a nice fertile garden bed. A Hugelkultur German type garden.
Oh my gosh! How amazing! I'm so impressed, I just can't wait for the garden videos to start. What you have acomplished is truly a testimony to your dedication. How fun. Thank you for showing the whole process. I enjoyed it so much. Belessing to you both.
I thought you was going to pull out a few smaller pieces of paper for your plan... Then you just kept unfolding that big piece! Lol, I thought "oh my goodness, that is gonna be huge"!
@@HollisNancysHomestead you said 3 acres and I counted the folds of the paper. You'll have 2 folds per acre, I'll love to see the results. I'm new subscriber and still watching videos to play catch up. Currently I lost the land in divorce but looks like one of my boy's will get a part of what's not sold. I've sold the TH on the lake bc too much work to update it. Now I'm looking for land to start my homestead....

I’m so excited for you! It’s been my dream to have a property like this and someone like Hollis to do it with. Knowing how you both will care for this land makes it even more of a blessing. Watching the careful planning, then the process step by step and the tour is so inspiring! Much happiness!!
Amazing work Hollis and Nancy! Nice to see your vision become a reality!! I'd been following you guys for years but missed this video. Glad you are staying strong w videos and gardening. God Bless
Hahaha! Hollis I will definitely be watching you brother! I thought Montana soil looked bad. You have your work cut out for you bringing that beach up to garden material. Great video, love watching
We are looking forward to your garden too. We are just south of you in Tampa and do hay bale gardening and I'll be teaching my first class on it this fall once are cool weather gets here. I know you just moved here and still getting settled in but I was wondering will you ever offer garden tours for the public? God bless you both and Bing Bing too. Btw Nancy I'll be making Bing Bings biscuits tomorrow on my day off. Thanks for the recipe. 💚💙💛
I am glad you utilized what you could out of the excavation and from what I understand most of the trees were pine and not good for burning in your home since it can be toxic and can coat the inside of the fireplace and can increase your chances for a house fire.. anyway, I am sure you guys try to do what is right by God and nature I have no doubt! Can’t wait for progression of your land and garden!! Excited for you both!!
I like your style of showing us your small clearing video's and keeping the huge garden for us to see after it is ready for planting. Great job. You are going to have to name your farm. After you eat all you can, It will become a commercial outfit in a short time. Folks in Flordia will love your produce.
There I was jealous of your old garden space, now you have done it!!! I need to move to some place where I can have more garden!!! Though the size of your Virginia one would do, for garden; want chickens, ducks and goats 😁😁
15 acres is perfect. No neighbors right on top of you. Did you stake out the area to be cleared before the excavator began to clear? Great ideas. Brillient idea to have two earth gardens. Great video. Bless you!
Awesome!!!!!! What a magnificent plan.. God speed on your success.. I'm agreeing with both of you. That you'll be at 90% or better, self sufficient.. There is nothing to big for our God.
