That is amazing. Maybe you guys can adopt me. I'm only 65! I had to take my lawn mower to a guy in town to get it running. It cost me $40. I could have put the thing up on a bench and worked on it, except I don't have a bench or building. I was outside trying to plant a small bag of seed potatoes several days ago. In seconds my head and upper body were in a cloud of black flies. I got so many bites on my scalp, face, behind my ears. No way I can work on anything outside. Don't you guys have any biting insects there? Mosquitoes you have for sure but it didn't look like they are many.

Great looking shop, I'm envious of all the space you have. Wondering if your planning on doing a grow room for seedlings? I use my shed with a heater put in stating around Feb. to start seedlings for my garden but that takes all my shop space so no other projects can be done without doing them outside in the cold, but since I like to eat I think its a fair trade off. I've learned a lot from your channel and would like to say thank you for all your hard work and time y'all put into these videos. Looking forward to your future episodes as your growing your new homestead

Are you at all concerned about rain coming into the workshop areas with the large window openings? Would you consider hurricane awnings that could drop down to cover the openings when needed? Love your videos. You and Nancy always do such a thorough job of covering each video topic.

I plan to add that later. For now I am covering the chopsaw with a tarp when I’m not using it. The way the roof overhangs the shop openings no rain comes in unless there is a very strong wind with it but rain can come in. So I will be adding the coverings

I would screen in that outdoor part of your shop and put in screen doors. My Dad's barn in Florida would give you surprises when opening cabinets and storage bins (Rats, Mice and Snakes). Rats and Mice would build nests and then they attract snakes. I opened many a cabinet and a mouse or rat would run out and would find snake in all kinds of places, behind stored boards, in buckets etc.

I love the idea of an open shop like yours. A breeze coming through and as you said the sawdust will float out or get pushed right out. What will you do if you get a storm? Do you plan to make some sort of covering for the openings of the shop? Like panels that can be hooked on the frame? My grandfather did that in his open shop but living in N.E.-CT, we get much rain in the spring and fall and this was his solution so the work surfaces wouldn't warp or damage his tools. Fifteen acres, that's my dream! To have all that land around you and the privacy has got to be different from suburbia. Congrats on the new place. The new owners of your house must love the gardens you both created. I hope they are gardeners. I look forward to new updates.
