    Geek and gorgeous do a 1% salicylic acid & 3 -6% (I can’t remember) mandelic water serum. I haven’t tried it myself but am considering as I find 2% BHA quite harsh. Thanks for sharing the neutralyze moisturiser, it can be bought in the UK for £21 imported from the USA which is fab. All in one products are rare & It, like G & G, contains sarcosine for oil control. Great to see these companies trying to address the many layers of acne / oily skin

    Mandelic acid is the only AHA leave-on product that my skin can tolerate. I personally love the Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water. That one contains a lot of beneficial ingredients for the skin, and it's cheap and comes in a big bottle. Even the travel size lasts me for 3+ months. It was so effective at treating whiteheads and regulating sebum production on my skin. It helped a bit with hyperpigmentation and made sunscreen application feel a lot smoother.
    I currently don't use any AHA or BHA products as i already use another actives that work better on my skin, but it'll remain as one of the products that i love and will always recommend to people. Thanks for the video and all the information that you never fail to give us, and thanks for including one of my favorite products!

Question, since I use Avene retrinal at night, I am using in the morning; can I use it first with my skinceuticals vit C ( yes, I know 😬!) applied after? Also, in my haul I got the CosRx cica toner but was going to wait to introduce… when I do, could I use before the Wishtrend or should I use on alternate days? Your advice would be so welcome! I had used Dr. Perricone for 25 yrs as my core until last year when he increased the crazy citrus oils to the point of skin barrier freak out, which I healed starting from square one with La Roche Posay and Avene products and introducing actives over the course of the last 10 mos. very judiciously….. thank you for all you do!

    Hi Dr. Dray, thank you for your video. Can I use Vitamin C (Naturium) and the Wishtrend Mandelic Acid both in the morning?

  • @Ciel_DJ
    @Ciel_DJ 2 роки тому +11

    Serious question - has anyone with GENUINELY sensitive skin used the Wishtrend Mandelic Acid and enjoyed it and also seen results? I have very dry sensitive skin with an easily compromised barrier and rosacea. that toner stung like crazy the entire time I used it, took me months to get through it as a result, and I never saw any change to my skin tone from it. i think my skin doesn't like mandelic acid or maybe it's just that product? I've spoken to other skincare enthusiasts online who had similar experiences and frankly confused why this product gets recommended by EVERY influencer. any idea why it stings so much? not even glycolic acid or lactic acid stings my face that badly and those actually deliver perceivable-to-the-naked-eye results.

      @@maricelg777 Thanks for missing me Maricel 😘. I still watch Dr Dray everyday and read all the comments & replies, however I'm not always an "early" viewer. I'm trying to look after my skin & brain (cognative & mental) health etc. by getting enough "beauty" sleep. As Melbourne is ahead of Houston time, Dr Dray uploads at 3am Australian summer time...which is too late too stay up every day! During winter it was 'just' 2am, which was also a bit too late...but I did stay up! 🌆🦉

      I use lactid acid from amlactin. I have sensitive skin with rosacea as well but my type is the little red veins and my face can get red and flushed/ hot. The amlactin is for the body but I just take a tad bit and mix it with other moisturizer to dilute it for my face. Works good for my sensitive skin. Lactid acid is supposedly best for sensitive skin types

    wait-putting AHA in your armpits isn’t good? i use pixi glow tonic after i shower, and i have had zero BO (even when i perspire), and have experienced zero irritation (probably since it is just 5% occasionally. i know in that case i can continue to do it, but is this shown to be ineffective, not have research behind it, or just that it can be sensitizing?

    Did I miss the part about The Ordinary’s mandelic acid serum? I really like it, but the directions recommend that you dilute it if you want it to be not as strong (it’s 10%). However, it is a water-free formulation (oil based, I suppose?). What do y’all recommend to use for dilution of oil based actives?

      Have you actually tried it as is and it was irritating for you? Cause generally I don't believe people need that, that is the most gentle acid they have, I would go as far as to say one could use it daily with no issue. On their website it says it's not water free but is oil free so you can in fact use water if you choose to.
