When it comes to AHAs, the one I tried first was lactic acid 5% by TO. I used it for like 2 months and didn't note any improvement, and even though I tried it for little time, I could tell my skin definitely didn't like it. So, I switched to Azelaic Acid again by TO and even though the experience was better, it still felt "off." Then, finally, I tried mandelic acid by Wishtrend (wonder how different it is from the TO's) and it changed the game! My skin loves it! Personally, salicylic and mandelic acids are the best, even more if you're dealing with acne.💗
i just recently discovered your channel and i love it so much! you have answered so many of my questions from most specifically your sensitive/dry skin videos. thank you 💕!
Used it for a few weeks, did see a bit of peeling (very discreet) after week 3. That said, it was too slow acting for my taste, and I'm trying to simply my daily routine. I wonder if I could get similar or better results using 5% glycolic acid 2× a week.
0:10 ~ Why do you say it's not available in Canada? I'm on the Canadian website now, and staring straight at it! (Can't link because UA-cam...! 😾 but feel free to look it up.) PS: It's the Azelaic Acid one that's currently unavailable in Canada, so perhaps you got them mixed up?
@@unsashahh12 Yeah I think it improved my skin texture because my forehead feels very soft. It is way less harsh than The Ordinary's salicylic acid (not the Anhydrous one because I haven't tried it) though. I'm not too sure because while I was using it another product made my skin super dry and flaky but yeah. It also acts pretty slowly.
Definitely adding this to my routine! Would I apply this before or after the COSRX snail mucin as it is an essence but a thicker formula than the mandelic acid?
I have been dealing with PIE for almost a year now and nothing is working. I don’t have any acne anymore, but it looks like acne because I have a bunch of red scars. My skin is clear, but it doesn’t look clear at all. Idk what to do??
omg this is exactly what i’m experiencing right now. its hard for me to describe my skin concern but this is the closest to it. Hopefully someone will share some suggestions :’)
Hiiii is it okay to use on 15 year old skin? My skin is dry and I’ve never used any kinds of acids on my face.. I don’t have sensitive skin. I have normal skin and I have some slight flaking on the side of my nose, but it isn’t that bad. I also have close comedones, little bit of black heads on the tip of my nose and some overall texture on my nose and slight pores on the skin near my eyes (top of nose area and near eyebags)….. I have some bumps on my neckline but they’re kinda hard and have no pus or whatever
Hi, this is a question unrelated to the product you’re reviewing, but I was wondering if you should use skincare products even if you don’t suffer from acne? I want to use skincare to keep my skin looking healthy as I age but my mom keeps telling me that using skincare products when I don’t need them will cause me to develop acne. Is this actually true? I really want take care of my skin but I’m scared that using skin care products will damage my skin or something.
This isn’t true! You can absolutely use skincare to target different concerns (aside from acne) or to create a healthier glow! Just make sure you’re using the right ones for your skin, concerns and goals 🙏
Hey, please will it be okay to use the 10% mandellic acid, with the cerave acne control cleanser? Struggling with acne and I hyperpigment really easily 😪 and have discolouration 💔
Hi! I know you didn’t ask me but I’ve dealt with the same. You can use the acne wash with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide I. The morning and the mandelic acid at night.
To speed up the process though, you may need something to speed up your skin cell turnover, so after a few weeks of getting used to mandelic acid, you can try to introduce a retinoid once every few nights. Hope this helps!
