This can be really bad, considering little kids could go on here with their guardian's credit card information set to where it'll automatically put their information in (assuming they're on an apple device of some sort and have the credit card number saved from a previous purchase on something else), and buy a bunch of stuff making their family go broke. Roblox needs to remove this update immediately.

That is a potential outcome from this update, but as much as people dislike it, I highly doubt that it is “dangerous” in the traditional sense. For example, compared to games that encourage online dating or contain plenty of micro-transactions already, as well as the site providing the option to purchase Robux. I am indifferent to this update, but I can understand why players are frustrated with Roblox’s business decisions, because they could be investing time and resources into other matters (e.g., efficient and engaging events). However, the company frequently makes blunders on the ‘community’ side of things. Priorities differ from expectations, which can lead to disappointment. Consider the business perspective and what happens behind the framework.
Should players be surprised at this point, even when they are optimistic that things will get better? At the very least, be open-minded.

This feature has the potential to be actually good. Many roblox games have to make separate merch stores which takes a long time and e-commerce could make everyone's lifes easier.

Altho this feature is generally an waste of space, it could be used for something more grand like in-game irl stores in popular games. If Roblox actually accept this from popular games we could maybe see more merchandise from more games and easier way of finding it. This could give more of a revenue to game developers and free commercial with an in-game store. Like we already have some irl stuff from games like piggy, tds (we don't talk about petsim).

This is a really cool update, as long as it remains to be an online shop where you can buy real world items. They could make a Walmart-type grocery store in Roblox which both brings the benefits of shopping online and still feeling like youre buying stuff from a real store. All the other people bringing down this update with zero criticism and only negative remarks are truly ignorant, they're just following a herd that they don't even understand.

If their parents credit card are saved, then it’s likely that the Roblox account was created by the parents and thus will display the correct age, though associating your credit card info with something your kids use is an extremely dumb idea and there are a lot of news about it supporting it

The Meta thing is pretty stupid. People play games as an escape from reality, not a continuation. The games that try to be realistic as possible aren't widely popular because of this reason. In a few generations when values shift I can see this being popular but not right now.
