Amazing. I followed ur video and didn't even need a volt meter because u did the work for us. Thank you so much. It really helped. Took me less than 20 minutes to get it done!☺️☺️
Fuse box layouts can differ between production years, region sold and models so what may be a airbag fuse on your car would not be an airbag fuse on the car in the video. This is why I mentioned to test the cars fuse box for a ignition switched supply that is not a critical system, such as heater.
@@PJsprojects ahh weird how my fuses are not all in the upright direction. Some are upside down. I dont have a multimeter so I just plan to follow the orientation the fuse was originally in.. 😐
Very helpful. Thanks. Question: Is there a fuse that is always powered (hot) so the dashcam stays on even if the ignition is not turned on? Again, thanks for the very helpful video.
Yes such as central locking but be aware that although most dash cams state they detect low battery the truth is it rarely works. I spoken to hundreds of taxi drivers that have them on constant and have ended up with a flat battery. Hope this helps.
Dash cams are not surveillance cameras and as such are not designed to be powered 24/7 however if you wish to do this then try testing circuits like the one for central locking as that will be live all the time.
Different specs sold all over the world, plugging in to what might be a spare socket on your model might cause an error code on another car. This is why is crucial to test your own cars fuse box and not copy the fuse location used in these videos.
Wow, I used your Mazda 3 video to install my dash cam on my mazda 3. Now my girlfriend has this generation HRV and here you are again. Thanks friend 😊
Thank you , the best crv dash cam installation on UA-cam.

Thank you for the step by step instruction.
Great video. I really like Honda's but are a little skeptical to the newer versions as always
That fuse you tapped in is SRS fuse slot for front airbags. Is that ideal??

@@PJsprojects thanks! You mentioned there that the orientation is important, I think I saw somewhere on the net that it can go either way?
@@rovenordiales Nope, the fuse has what’s called a hot side, this where the power goes in.
If it’s the wrong way the actual fuse part is bypassed.

What is the fuse type of HRV? Low profile mini?
So they is not for parking mode?
Hi, how did you get it to stick onto the back dots on the windscreen?
Excellent video.

@@MariarioztMDreeeee Use the cars owners manual to work out what fuse you are thinking of using and then test it with a multimeter
@@PJsprojects ok thank you s much
Excellent advice and footage as usual 👌
Do you have any footage of same installation on the G20 BMW 330e by any chance?
There are so many unused spaces, why didn’t you use one of those?
