Just an FTI depending on what wrangler you have there are 6 accessory wires already there from factory. In the wrangler JL with the accessory switches they give you 6 wires in the engine bay and 6 wires under the foot well of the passenger side. So I installed my hardwire kit inside the vehicle and works like a charm. Just an fyi it makes it much easier.
Exactly what I was looking for. I was back and forth regarding the "Single Fuse" kit and the "Double Fuse (with taps)" kit. However, my Mazda has limited spots of BAT in the fuse box so I'm getting the Redtiger "Double 4 Fuse" kit. Your video was the deciding factor. Even though I already was looking at the product on Amazon, I'm going to buy it through your link (and, hopefully, you get some commission). Tu vídeos sempre exelcente! Gracias mano!
They should have included the inline fuses in the wires, as the given fuses will only be for replacement of factory fitted fuses leaving the dashcam hardwire without any fuse as most people while installing hardwire don't bother about polarity of fuse taps and fuse sockets. And if some how they get the right polarity it will put double load on the single fuse as it will be providing power for both dashcam and default device.
Hi DODO! correct, the kit unfortunately assumes that both ACC and BATT will be connected to unused spots on the car's fuse box (and also assumes the fuse size will be a Mini size) If the kit is connected to a fuse spot that is already occupied, the use of functional fuse taps shown at 4:22 is needed to ensure both the original fuse is retained along with the fuse for the hardwire kit. I keep telling dash cam manufacturers to improve this (AZdome does it ua-cam.com/video/FLcIM2MwAL8/v-deo.html and also Rove ua-cam.com/video/9Pq3UKQNrcU/v-deo.html with their awesome Ultimate hardwire kit) Hopefully one day they will listen! LOL Cheers Bud!
Exactly, especially for how much it costs. There are third party ones which are cheaper and include the inline fuses but Redtiger doesn't recommend using third party hardwire kits, I wonder why!
@@khalilrazak6486 Hi Khali! yeah that is the one major weakness I seen on dash cams, the dash cams themselves are fully loaded with features but their hardwire kits leave something to be desire. So far only Rove has he most complete hardwire kit I ever reviewed ua-cam.com/video/Ny-TvRnhTs4/v-deo.html but again as you mentioned, using the matching hardwire (made by the same brand as dash cam) is the what I also recommend to avoid issues both technical and warranty ones. Hopefully one day will we see more manufacturers create better kits like the Rove one. Cheers!
Thank you for the clear and detailed exclamation on how to use this product. This information will be useful when we install our lower front bumper after-market fog lights on my 2021 Toyota Corolla LE Sedan.
You're welcome Sxpress! Ah I have not cracked this one open like the I did to this one ua-cam.com/video/RoiQ-Xvr09M/v-deo.html which was reversible since it has screws. But since the RedTiger kit is sealed, opening it would require prying apart (breaking into) the case. I don't believe there is a jumper like the Garmin one has but if I ever do break one open and confirm, I will update this comment for you. Cheers!
I have the hardwire kit from red tiger f7n dashcam. in my fuse box I have few empty slots but they have only 1 steel connect, apper or on the bottom. I was do so measure and I have the power when the engine ist turn of and when the key ist on. but the parkingmod don't want running. thank you for your help and great video and great job.

I think my question was wrong. in a fuse box I have empty slots with single connector and I was plug in the hardwire kit w with 3 cables exactly like you show us. the real question is or can that working with single connector in empty slot in fuse box? because normal fuse has 2 connectors one ist at the bottom and one ist at the top, if I can say that...
Hi Piote! Correct, if there is a empty fuse slot available that is my preferred way of doing the connection, you can see an example of that install here ua-cam.com/video/uZp95NbNlmM/v-deo.html and here is my other video where I explained where fuse taps with two fuses or single fuse are needed ua-cam.com/video/Qzw9yUYN7zo/v-deo.html Cheers!
I've watched all of your cameras for the red tiger F7NP - thank you fo being So detailed. however Im having LOTS of trouble installing it and I think I need to send back the entire camera - I have a brand new car - i've done all of the correct fuse checks and even had a dash cam fitter look at the car, but it seems that the redtiger hardware kit is turning the camera off once the inigition turns on, as it falls under 12v but then it doesn't turn the camera back on again. I tried an old nextbase camera that I also have, which only has a red hardwire cable and this works, turns on and stays on. but I cannot get the redtiger camera to work when hardwired. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Christina! That is very strange, specially if you had a installer verify the connections, maybe a bad hardwire kit? I would recommend contacting RedTiger for support, I'm sure they can walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. Hope this helps and please let us know what you find. Cheers!

Hi Raul! The hardwire kit is only needed if you are looking to enable park monitor on your dash cam or if you do not want to tie up your cigarette lighter port with the charger. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Angel! Here is my follow up video where I cover how I find ACC and BATT on any car ua-cam.com/video/K2iKXj82354/v-deo.html However I strongly recommend profession installation due to the dangers mentioned on that video if erroneously tapping a critical system of the vehicle and the dangers involved with air bags mentioned on this video ua-cam.com/video/uZp95NbNlmM/v-deo.html Cheers
Is it ok if I attach kit's plug directly to fuse tap hole (the upper) without attach to fuse tap's cable? I think the hardwire kit plug already has fuse itself.
Hi Dare! I personally don't like to connect the hardwire molded fuse into a fuse tap, because I don't like how high the assembly gets when stacking the molded fuse from the hardwire kit into the fuse tap and then having to deal with cutting and shutting off the unused pigtail so it does not contact anything (here is the video where I show this ua-cam.com/video/wAad_JA7kz8/v-deo.html at the 9:55 mark for those wondering what that looks like) Cheers!
You're welcome Ali! Ah yes the T27 hardwire is readily available from Amazon or from RedTiger, I put links to both sources in the video description. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Good morning question at video mark 3:29. I am taping cigarette lighter adapter. It has a red and yellow wire. Can i tap them together and connect together? I am connecting a carpuride dash. I just want it to have power. When the vehicle is on, it doesn't need to have power when it vehicles off.
Hi L! Ah remember this kit is meant for RedTiger dash cams, it is not mean for other aftermarket products. I would recommend contacting Carpuride for hardwire information. Cheers!
So you cannot place the ACC terminal which you're supposed to put in an empty slot in the fuse box into the fuse tap, you're supposed to cut the wire, attach it to the fuse tap wire, buy and place another similar fuse and then use it?

im on my daughters profile by the looks but ill ask anyway, just wondering why or if it would work by cutting the twin fuse link wire short and insulating it then plugging in the already fused wire from the dashcam and the fuse that came from the fuse box into the twin link then plugging it back into the fuse box slot to save time? I think it will work and will be checking it out tomorrow but probably wont cut it short just incase the dashcam fuse blows I can then join and get a fuse. ok ok saying it like that kinda makes me think why stuff around. thanks Max :)

You're welcome Mike! Ah yeah I see so many brand names (sometimes using terms related to the product and sometimes totally unrelated) and I always wonder the same LOL There was a couple ones that were a little extreme too, there was one that almost sounded like an expletive (not when read only when pronounced) and I had another that sounded like a different term that what the brand intended (again, not when read only when pronounced) and there are some I have not even figure out how to pronounce them since they are made up words. Hi Unplugged! Ah good question, ACC provides the signal that the car is On or Off which makes the dash cam turn On or Off for you with the car (and also trigger parking monitoring if enabled on the dash cam). The 3rd wire (BAT) is used to maintain power to the dash cam while the car off. And here is my follow up video where I explain how hardwire kits work and their different features to look for when shopping for one ua-cam.com/video/Yky9_tTvwMc/v-deo.html Cheers!
Hi Clovax! The hardwire kit is sealed and does not require maintenance. Here is is my other video ua-cam.com/video/Yky9_tTvwMc/v-deo.html where I explain how the hardwire kits work and the different features to look for when buying one (including the low voltage cut off). Cheers!
Hi Javier! Correct, the low voltage cut off is meant to stop the hardwire kit from powering the dash cam when the battery voltage reaches the cut off point to reduce the possibility of draining your car's battery. Cheers!
Hi Javier! Most name brand hardwire kits have a low voltage cut off to reduce the possibility of draining your car's battery and leaving you stranded. There are a few basic hardwire kits out there (cheaper) that do not have that function and will stay on all the time at the expense of the car's battery being drained. So while it is possible to do so I personally do not recommend it. Most healthy batteries will stay above the cut off point so I personally always use hardwire kits with low voltage protection. Cheers! @@javiersalas7670
I really want to get the RedTiger hardwire kit to use with my RedTiger camera. my only issue is that the version of the camera i have is Micro USB and I cannot find that version of the kit online anymore. Would it be worth it to buy their USB-C kit and splice the Micro USB from their car charger onto it, getting a USB-C to Micro USB adapter, or getting an entirely different kit be the best move? I think cutting the USB-C head off the new one and soldering a Micro USB head from the car charger i have from them would be the more fun move (the bottom of my car charger from them also shattered and i cant find the pieces anymore so its dead at this point to me)
Hi Zendrith! Ah I got the same version too! lol yes the Micro-USB hardwire kit has been replaced with the USB-C. I normally recommend sticking to the matching hardwire kit for your dah cam but in this case I can see why an alternative may be needed, here is one that may work amzn.to/3NBqLcD but yes if you are experienced with electronics, swapping out the connector on the new USB-C one to a Micro-USB is definitely possible (and yes it could be fun depending on if you enjoy working and soldering small electronic components like I do LOL). Hi - I’m going to be installing red tiger into a f15 x5 and the fuse that I’ll be removing and adding to a fuse tap are 5amps each for acc and batt. What fuse amp does the red tiger require for acc and batt? I dont have any space in my fuse box. Thanks in advance!
Hi Kelvin! Ah yes the fuse for the hardwire kit I used, is of the same value as what came with the kit. In this case as you can see in the video the kit came with a blue fuse (15A), so I used a 15A fuse on the functional fuse tap. Cheers!
@@KDR195 Yeah I had other viewers used a lower rated AMP fuse (so it can pop earlier) However just remember that deviating from the included AMP spec may impact warranty if something goes wrong in the future since we are deviating from the factory kit. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi can you tell me what is the fuse rating in amps of the links fitted to the hard wire kit for the G900. Mine are coloured blue. Blue fuses are normally rated at 15 amps . I want to fit my red and yellow wires with in line fuse holders as I wish to tap into another circuit on my Landrover. What size fuses should I fit? 15 amp seems a rather high value.
Hi Paul! Correct, the fuses that come with the G900 hardwire kit are blue (15A). And here is my hardwire install video ua-cam.com/video/uZp95NbNlmM/v-deo.html Cheers!
Hi Danev! The single fuse one includes molded fuse as shown on the video. The Double Fuse, has replaceable ends (fuse taps) which are needed in some of the cases described on the video. Hi mate. Thank you for the video. May I ask a question about the setting please? I have a fun since yesterday and the hardWire kit. I juste found the food spot to plug the red and yellow wires but I get a message saying use the acc wire kit when I try to use the parking mode .... .. And when I torn the ignition key all works perfect but when I turn it off it say ACC off then off Do you have any idea on what I could do to fix this please? Thanks regards
Hi pierroalino! I would have the installer check all the connections (ACC, BATT & GND) to confirm nothing has come loose and that they connected to the correct locations for ACC and BATT (I seen cases where park mode is not enabled if ACC and BATT are reversed or connected to the incorrect locations that does not provide power at the correct time for both ACC and BATT) Hope this helps, Cheers!

Does the amperage of the fuse on the fuse tap have to match the amperage of the fuse you took out? My kit came with a 15A fuse on the fuse tap, but the fuse im taking out is 7.5A. What should I do?
Hi Fisher! ACC and BATT need to be connected to their correct locations (ACC and BATT are separate functions, here is my video where I cover this in more detail ua-cam.com/video/K2iKXj82354/v-deo.html ) in order for parking monitoring to work correctly. If ACC or BATT is connected to a source of power that does not provide ACC or BATT power at the right time, the dash cam may not work, parking mode may not work or the dash cam could stay On all the time. Cheers!
@fisherbrown903 Hi Fisher! I don't doubt it. That is one of the reasons I recommend professional installation. In addition to the time invested in trying to learn the process for a single install, some installs are also physically demanding, I lost count of how many times I had to twist myself into a pretzel to reach the work area. There's also sharp areas of the trim of the car or the sheet metal itself, so it's usual that my hands are cut left to right LOL. I gotten good at it (like all installers do after hundreds of installs), but this experience won't be developed on a single install. Cheers!
Hi Alberto! This is kit is specific for the dash cam models listed by Wolfbox (link to the kit in the video description). I do not recommend using it differently. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thank you for your fast response. You just earned another subscriber. If you have any recommendations for a hardwire kit that I can use for a carpuride headunit, I would greatly appreciate it.
@@albertomedina193 You're welcome and thanks for supporting the channel Alberto! Ah unfortunately, Carpuride does not have a hardwire kit, they typically use 12VDC, so there is no step down regulator in their power plug assuming your Carpuride system is like this one ua-cam.com/video/oHlf0MmguWk/v-deo.html You can see how the power input is labeled 12V so what installers do in those cases where the customer requires a hardwire connection is either cut the cigarette lighter plug and tap the system directly to the car (with fused connections) or they install a generic cable with the same DC barrel plug which again is connected to the car's power via a fused connection. Cheers!

Hi Samuel! Typically hardwire kits do not affect alternators (but I would recommend checking with your mechanic to confirm the effects of adding aftermarket equipment to your vehicle). Hi G! Most dash cams that require a 3 lead hardwire kit will usually need all 3 wires to be connected in order for the dash cam to work correctly. Hi Carlos! Not sure which dash cam you are using but remember the T27 and T700 do not support connecting to your phone. You can also contact RedTiger for support, they may be able to walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. Cheers!
This hard wire kits are a bad design because of that fuse ever blows your screwed and will have to use a fuse tap anyway. But I had to do mine a little different anyway. I have a wrangler JL and in the wrangler there are 6 fused wire taps on the inside cab under my glove box so I used the 10 amp and 15 amp battery and acc connections. I cut off the fuse taps on the kit and spliced in my own fuse taps. And all the wiring is on the inside of my cab and I didn’t have to run it far and didn’t have to go thru the firewall. Only issue is there is a lot of slack I had to roll up and hide behind and under my glove box. No big deal it all works and is fuse protected. But now it’s protected by 2 fuses because the factory wires are already fuse protected. Just extra protection but works as designed. The original issue I had with this was the hardwire kit doesn’t allow you to remove the fuse if it goes bad.
Hi Yellow! Ah good question, that will depend on the car's battery, size, age, health condition and state of charge. In addition to that you also want to take in consideration any parasitic draw from other items on the vehicle that use power when the car is off. This is specially common on newer vehicles. For example I have an older Jeep that can sits for months a time with little to no battery draw, then I have a 2017 car that will almost completely drain my battery in a few weeks if the car is not used (and that car does not have any aftermarket devices connected to it). Here is the battery tester I use ua-cam.com/video/kCNrfa8RUKU/v-deo.html if you want to test your battery for capacity and health, it can also perform a parasitic draw test if needed. I do carry one of this on long trips ua-cam.com/video/5eoewaav43A/v-deo.html just in case but again I think my case is a little more extreme since most people only run 1 hardwire kit at a time and I run several kits on my car. Cheers!
How come when I connect only the ACC cable in the cigarette lighter fuse slot without connecting the BA+, the camera won't turn on when the car is on.. I have to ALSO connect the BA+ along with the ACC wire.. why is that? Why can't I just plug the acc wire and only use it on acc mode?
Hi Mr. Boniato! most dash cams that use a 3 lead hardwire kit require all 3 leads to be connected in order to function (ACC, BAT & GND). Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thank you..when using the cigarette lighter as acc, do I need to have two fuses, one for the kit and one for the lighter, or is the one from the kit enough to power the lighter and the camara?

Hi Catalin! Dash cams normally run warm to hot (and very hot if running it in 4K). And while I had not had any of them catch on fire yet, if you are looking to reduce their temperature here are some suggestions. Reduce resolution (lower resolutions produce less heat), reduce bit rate (some dash cams will let you change it) and finally enable screen saver (screen time out) which will turn of the display after a period of time but will continue recording (the screen itself generates heat). Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun thank you, I just did all that, feels a bit better, still warm tho' I'm just worried because I just had a new car and installed this dash cam and the hardwire kit and I'm worried about it being always warm/hot and what this can do in the long term.
@piciux2323 You're welcome! It would also be a good idea to have your installer check the install. I seen cases where something was incorrectly connected or the wrong hardwire it was used (or a defective hardwire was installed) etc. Cheers!

Hi S! Ah, that's a good question (often a debated one). You would want to check your State's law. In my State supposedly the law prevents a Dealer from denying warranty if someone added something to their car or worked on their own car as long as whatever was added or the work that was done was not the cause of the failure. So let's say you put window tint on your car and your transmission fails. It would probably be difficult for the dealer to deny it because the tint or the tint install did not likely affect the transmission. But as simple as that sounds, there are horror stories of dealers not honoring warranty if they see a modification claiming it is what led to the failure. Some owners even had to take them to court or complain directly to the manufacturer (since dealers are typically independently owned) to get their warranty honored. Cheers!

If I don't want the constant power (parking mode) enabled, do I simply not plug in the constant power fuse? or does that need to get plugged in regardless?
Hi Jonathan! Most dash cams that require a 3 lead hardwire kit will usually need all 3 wires to be connected in order for the dash cam to work correctly. What I recommend when someone does not need park monitoring, is just to turn it off in the settings menu (most dash cams will let you turn off this feature). Cheers!
Like me, I just want to run camera when I’m in the car-driving. I feel I can just use the cigarette lighter. What is the pro of hardwiring if I just use the camera when driving?
Hi Unplugged! Typically the only advantages of hardwiring is that it frees up your cigarette lighter port and it can also enable parking mode. Cheers!@@Unplugged704
The 2 fuses value into the piggy peg wire must add up to the original single fuse value. Otherwise you are increasing the ampere allowed and might cause a fire.
Hi Vincent! Ah remember a functional fuse tap creates 2 separate independent circuits (each one with a different amp rating partially determined by fuses that are loaded into the each fuse slot in the fuse tap, the car's internal wiring and current load on the circuit to be tapped) The fuse removed from the car goes in the fuse tap bottom slot and the second fuse (top fuse) is for the hardwire kit. So they are each independent of each other, each one driving it's own load. Here is another video ua-cam.com/video/Qzw9yUYN7zo/v-deo.html where I explain how fuse taps work in more detail, Cheers!
@@vincentlee2460 That is a great way of explain it, I actually have a video on the works covering the internals of them because as simple as this little guys are, sometimes it helps to see the inside of something to understand it, but I like your idea of the DMM demonstration. Cheers Vincent!
Hello - I've just had my unit installed at an audio shop and he told me that I need to read my manual when I go home because when trying to access the Parking Mode, he gets an error stating, "please connect the acc power kit" which is what he's done so what do I do now?
Hi Zurai! I like to start by saying (no disrespect to the shop that installed it) but any shop that tells a customer to go home and read to manual to figure it out, man that kind of customer service upsets me and I would definitely not go back to that place. That being said, I would have the installer confirm all connections to confirm they are connected to the correct locations for ACC and BATT (I seen cases where the connections for ACC and BATT are reversed or connected to the incorrect locations that do not provide power at the correct time for both ACC and BATT leading to the kit not working correctly). I also seen cases where a shop joined both ACC and BATT together to save time causing the issue you are describing. In rare cases you may also have a defective hardwire kit (or incorrect hardwire kit installed by the shop) which again your installer can confirm for you. Lastly you can also contact RedTiger for tech support, they may be able to walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. Hope this helps and I hope the shop comes thru and helps you my friend, Cheers!

The reason I asked, because normally, there is 3 wires, ground, constant and ignition on only, this enables the one with ignition on to work when you drive, and constant to work when there is a parking mode. I am trying to wrap my head around, how parking mode will work in that setup, when car is off :D Also, would you reccomend Kenwood cameras the 501 and 601? They have nice sets with those kits included and rear cams.
@@Leinsterbaby Ah yes, I would recommend to check the instructions for the kit, as mentioned earlier some two lead hardwire kits use ACC (switched ignition power) and GND and some other kits use BATT (constant battery power) and GND. It just depends on the kit and how it was designed to function. Usually on ACC and GND kits the dash cam will not have parking mode (unless it's equipped with a battery) and on kits with BATT and GND the dash cam will either stay on to record when the car is off or will enter parking mode after period of time. Ah regarding the 501 and 601, unfortunately I have tested any of their dash cams but I will see if I can add to the list of dash cams to review, stay tuned and Cheers!

Just bought a REDTIGER F7NP along with this HW kit for my Wrangler. Thanks for the vid, always great ones!
You're welcome Phil and congrats on your new F7NP dash cam! Cheers!
@@americanpatriot8996 I have a 2024 Sport S. Man if I can install inside under the foot well that would be great! I'll check more on that.
Great info . And i love the "POP" when demonstrating pulling a fuse 😃
Lol thanks T!
They should have included the inline fuses in the wires, as the given fuses will only be for replacement of factory fitted fuses leaving the dashcam hardwire without any fuse as
most people while installing hardwire don't bother about polarity of fuse taps and fuse sockets.
So far only Rove has he most complete hardwire kit I ever reviewed ua-cam.com/video/Ny-TvRnhTs4/v-deo.html but again as you mentioned, using the matching hardwire (made by the same brand as dash cam) is the what I also recommend to avoid issues both technical and warranty ones. however Im having LOTS of trouble installing it and I think I need to send back the entire camera - I have a brand new car - i've done all of the correct fuse checks and even had a dash cam fitter look at the car, but it seems that the redtiger hardware kit is turning the camera off once the inigition turns on, as it falls under 12v but then it doesn't turn the camera back on again.
I tried an old nextbase camera that I also have, which only has a red hardwire cable and this works, turns on and stays on. but I cannot get the redtiger camera to work when hardwired. Do you have any suggestions?

Question- If I hardwire for power all the time, why is there a need to connect to the ACC?
Hi Unplugged! Ah good question, ACC provides the signal that the car is On or Off which makes the dash cam turn On or Off for you with the car (and also trigger parking monitoring if enabled on the dash cam). The 3rd wire (BAT) is used to maintain power to the dash cam while the car off. And here is my follow up video where I explain how hardwire kits work and their different features to look for when shopping for one ua-cam.com/video/Yky9_tTvwMc/v-deo.html Cheers!

I just bought exact same kits for my Subaru forester
So will it not function or record once the battery voltage gets below 11.8?
Hi Javier! Correct, the low voltage cut off is meant to stop the hardwire kit from powering the dash cam when the battery voltage reaches the cut off point to reduce the possibility of draining your car's battery. Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thats not good I bought one for parking security....mainly for that reason only
@fisherbrown903 Hi Fisher! I don't doubt it. That is one of the reasons I recommend professional installation. If I connect the hareware kit, do I nned to connect the other wire to the start the camera or is not nevcesary?
Hi G! Most dash cams that require a 3 lead hardwire kit will usually need all 3 wires to be connected in order for the dash cam to work correctly. What I recommend when someone does not need park monitoring, is just to turn it off in the settings menu (most dash cams will let you turn off this feature). Cheers!
Very well explained video. Thank you!
You're welcome and thank you Anderson!
are you near newhampshire,i have problems where phone wont exept codes or icon scanned
Hi Carlos! Not sure which dash cam you are using but remember the T27 and T700 do not support connecting to your phone. You can also contact RedTiger for support, they may be able to walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. Cheers!
Can please do dash cam Hotwire on 2020 Corolla?
Hi Megan! Here is my hardwire video ua-cam.com/video/uZp95NbNlmM/v-deo.html Cheers!
Hi A! Ah yes Redtiger, has since upgraded their kits to this new design ua-cam.com/video/_1cIkR3YB-8/v-deo.html Cheers!
Does it drain the battery too much?
Cheers!
how do you know what number/size the new fuse has to be?
Hi Andy! Notice they are using blue fuses which means they are 15A (if the molding is removed the fuses, the fuses are also marked with 15A). Cheers!
👍👍💯 thank you very well explained

How come when I connect only the ACC cable in the cigarette lighter fuse slot without connecting the BA+, the camera won't turn on when the car is on.. I have to ALSO connect the BA+ along with the ACC wire.. why is that? Why can't I just plug the acc wire and only use it on acc mode?
Hi Mr. Boniato! most dash cams that use a 3 lead hardwire kit require all 3 leads to be connected in order to function (ACC, BAT & GND). Hope this helps, Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Thank you..when using the cigarette lighter as acc, do I need to have two fuses, one for the kit and one for the lighter, or is the one from the kit enough to power the lighter and the camara?
i had my redtiger camera hardwired by an electician for me and after almost 2 days of using the camera 24/7 i wonder if it`s normal for the actual dash cam to be warm/hot and if is there any chance of catching fire or i shouldn`t be worried about it ?
Cheers!
What do you do if the fuse box has no empty spots ?

Great instruction and commentary. More willing to attempt this myself now. Thanks!

Very Helpful.
I wonder if this works with the 70mai dash cam..
Hi Ben! While I may be possible to use a different power adapter on a dash cam, I usually recommend sticking to the matching power adapter for the dash cam (brand matching) to ensure that there are no functional issues or issues with warranty coverage. Here is my follow up video ua-cam.com/video/Yky9_tTvwMc/v-deo.html where I explain how hardwire kits work and the different features to look for. Cheers!

will using hardwire void the warranty??
Hi S! Are you referring to the warranty of the dash cam or the vehicles warranty?
@@AlexAutoFun vehicle warranty
Cheers!
Buongiorno ho acquistato la dashcam t 27 con il kit per il monitoraggio del parcheggio 24 Ore su 24.
Ho fatto installare il tutto all'elettrauto.
Il monitoraggio del parcheggio è comunque possibile decidere se attivarlo o disattivarlo in modo che non registri?
Se si in che modo?
Grazie
Hi Dario! correct if the hardwire kit was installed correctly there will be a new option in the menu where you can choose park monitoring using the G-Sensor or Time Lapse. I do have a video explaining how to setup the parking mode on the T27 next week. Stay tuned for that one, Cheers!
Perfetto grazie mille!

They now sell kits with several differ fuse taps included.
Hi Ron! Correct, the kits have been updated, most now come with fuse taps (links to the kits in the video description) Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun i was wrong. The 12 volt is split and the fuses are not in series. I just confirmed with a DMM and the same wire.with 2 fuses

Very great.
Thank you 440steel!

Noticed you don't have anything on Kenwood cameras, they have a funny hardwire kit, with just 1 fuse connector + ground :D
Hi Goose! Ah yes the 2 lead hardwire kits, yeah those are not as common but yes install is same but instead of connecting 3 wires only 2 wires are connected (refer to the instructions of the kit to determine the function of the 2 wires, most use GND and ACC and some use GND and BATT). Here is my hardwire video where I cover 2 lead and 3 lead hardwire kits ua-cam.com/video/Yky9_tTvwMc/v-deo.html and here is my follow up video showing the hardwire install process ua-cam.com/video/K2iKXj82354/v-deo.html Cheers!
@@AlexAutoFun Cheers for responding. The reason I asked, because normally, there is 3 wires, ground, constant and ignition on only, this enables the one with ignition on to work when you drive, and constant to work when there is a parking mode. I am trying to wrap my head around, how parking mode will work in that setup, when car is off :D
Also, would you reccomend Kenwood cameras the 501 and 601?
@@AlexAutoFun Cheers! My dad says, if you don't understand it, leave it. So prime day is upon us, and I am going with a Vantrue x4s or a redtiger, depending which will be cheaper! :) They got both 3 wire kits. Thank yo for your hard work.

I don’t think you can put a fuse on a fuse..
