    Hey man, I've been watching you for 6 months, and your info is excellent. Love your expansion of equipment and knowledge. This is by far the most informative and no-nonsense video out there. Thank you. I do this part-time since I have a full-time job. And this year, I'm pushing at it hard and taking all of your advice to heart. Keep at it, and I'll be watching. Bryan.

    I enjoyed your video. I am a numbers guy. One thing that I noticed, and it is only fact, not a judgement, is that as a percentage of revenue, money spent on Home Adviser, and Facebook is about the same at ~15%. While the money spent on mailers as a percent of revenue is about twice that at ~30%. Have you tried walking neighborhood to distribute your mailers by hand near a job that you are doing? The pitch of, "I am working in your neighborhood, and was wondering if I may be of service to you?"

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  2 роки тому +1

      Man I just had the idea of walking neighborhoods last night. That's funny! I can't do it while I'm on site. I do 4-6 every day so I seldom have time to add in a 2nd or walk the hood. Gotta move on. But next Saturday I might walk a bit 🤙. I sold a couple dry cleaning service door to door when I was in college 😅

    Any recommendations on roof washing insurance?

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Jase. You just need to decide how much of the rules you want to play by. Roof washing insurance will be expensive. Roof washing has a low risk of damage so I've gotten by with a general liability policy for contractors which is about $125/mo. A low pressure system will never damage a roof. Higher risk of dropping a ladder through a window or on a car or burning plants with SH. Roof wash or GL won't cover you if you get hurt - it's only for damage so at the end of the day I just use GL and I get on and off the roof quickly

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  3 роки тому +1

      I made my own. the way it looks now is way different from when i started. start simple and your excel sheet will grow with your business. youll learn what to add as you go. using a template will only confuse you. build your own and design it to your needs!

      Keep the hustle up NC! I'm excited for this season as well I cant wait for the first wash. Definitely keep records and recipets from the beginning. It really makes the following year easier, kinda like the saying "split next years wood this season..." it gets better with time and more efficient. The records are good for tax and what not but the real reason is budgeting and planning your costs and income for the following year. Run a small little 1 man show the same as the big dogs ;)

    How do you keep up with rinsing plants and grass if running solo. Do you use a family member or someone as a helper or just bounce between hoses a lot?

    • @YoungAmbitionYA
      @YoungAmbitionYA  3 роки тому +3

      What's up Rich. Thanks for watching and the comment! I wash in sections. I wet the grass on side A, wash side A, rinse side A, hit the grass again and move to side B etc. Its not something that has to be constantly done. SH won't immediately harm the vegetation, especially if you presoak. When I roof wash I pre wet the grass for overspray but I might be up on the roof an hour. I just wait till I'm done and on the ground and rinse the lawn before I leave! Hope this helps!
