hi, which electronic drum set do you use?
@@TheOnlyMisterBananas Hey, Makhx here! It's a rather old Roland TD-6KV, still works flawlessly via MIDI.
You both have a very humble attitude, which is almost as important as talent when collaborating with other musicians
I would say it's even more important
@@meestuinier4486 I would agree. There's a kid in my school's band that's a pretty good musician, but he's the most arrogant prick I've ever met, and everyone hates him for it.
@@colescroggins2896 To be fair, those people are the worst to jam with. I would rather jam with someone that isn't extremely talented, but with a good vibe.
Totally agree 👍👍
Makhx is a beast. What a great collaboration between talented and humble musicians
Hey, Makhx here. Thanks so much, it's always a real pleasure working with Bernth!
Your video structure, editing, and comedy skills have grown tremendously. I enjoy the “vlog” style videos as well as the killer practice routines
As an Intermediate drummer, I absolutely approve of this video haha. Cheers for the collab and information here!
Really informative for me how I shall talk and discuss with a drummer in real life and what can be improved on the own “basic” home recording drum tracks! 👏
As a non-drummer songwriter who programs his own scratch tracks all the time, this is a GREAT idea for a video and really insightful. Loved it.
that triplet riff was really cool! Love those riffs you can modulate to another feel.
I really have to say I LOVE all the riffs in this video. Love that low heavy sound!
Watching that guy is a pure joy. You should set some project with him.
It's awesome to see you both show up your skills with a very humble way.
I really like this reacting to a tune. this is what jazz does a lot and it's fun to see what musicians come up with spantaniosly.
Just finding out that you play drums and not just guitar already makes me like you even more. Hands down one of my favorite channels on UA-cam. Keep it up, man!
Dude, this channel and its resources are top tier. Cheers, Bernth! Thank you!
We need a Dopamine remix with Makhx on drums. That interpretation was so amazing.
This shows that drums are very very important. And makes everything sounds so much better. As a guitar player...
This was fun to watch and you need to give yourself more credit bro you’re a amazing composist! 🤘
Best guitar content on the plattform, honestly. And your drum versions are also sick as sick!
Servus aus Bayern, Deutschland :)
Makhx is so bloody sick, he nailed everything brilliantly!!
Makhx's take on Dopamine wasn't overdone to my hear. I found it very tasteful, interesting and it flowed very well. My only question is why have I only recently discovered these two?!
it made it sound better imo. added this layer of detail and flow. sooo beautiful...
I'm asking myself the same question. This dudes teaching me so much more in depth things about guitar I never knew and he does an awesome job showing how to correct bad habits that self taught guitarists like myself make.
It's fun to just hear that there is a very thin line between boring drum grooves and overkill drum grooves. Some drum parts made by the pro drummer felt a bit too hardcore for the sake of technic itself, but in a complete song, having that level of technicity and intensity during the whole thing would be way too much. When spicing your music rythmically, it seems to me it's important not to have a too heavy hand
Wow that was amazing. It targets one of my biggest problems at this point. Really interesting and helpful.
That first one sounds exactly like one of the riffs from The Art of Shredding. Good tracks!
4:29 has some massive Octavision vibes. Fantastic!
Really cool video man. Your content has been on fire lately
nices video.
I could watch you guys do this all day! 😍
I really appreciate what you did and also awesome drumming. What a great video, this is what I want to do everyday, thank you.🙏
Dude I love seeing how bernth is growing recently, the world is yours my guy!
Super duper helpful as always, good sir!!!🤘👽🤘
Some much skill! Thanks for being so good!!!
Between you and Ola, I'm getting inspired to pick my guitar up more now than I have in a few years. Thank you!
Lovely! Do something like that, this collaboration was amazing
that's a very interesting video. thx. both players are damn great.
Its always interesting to me that you can set a musician a task and they'll sit back afterwards and be almost embarrassed that they didnt quite get something. Yet I sit here and think, damn that sounds great whats he talking about lol
Most interesting and advance stuff going on!!!
Awesome collaboration!
Love this style of video
Now Makhx starts the rocket 🚀🚀 Great guy! Thx!
Fresh video idea, really enjoyed this
Neustodt Oida! ❤️ Hat die schönsten & talentiertesten Musiker! Ich brauch auch dringend ein Bonus-H... Bussi, euer DJ Schmollhi!
I started off as a drummer and now play the guitars. I enjoy playing with best patterns and it gets really fun to do it. Some interesting timings show up.
Fantastic musicians.... Thanks!
That last one was alternative metal worthy. Great!
That first Impossible Challenge I thought was going between 3/4 and 4/4 in alternating measures. Nice to see I wasn't too far off.
Makhx is cool! Awesome drumming!
Hey, Makhx here. Thank you so much!! :)
@@somedaysyoulose6903 🤝😎 Keep on rocking, man!💪😉
6:29 so the click starts from the second note you played... I heard it as a triplet riff too, but I would have started with the kick on the first note you played (imagining that the click started there too) and I would put the backbeat on the three🙂
Great video. Liked it a lot. But to be honest I'm suprised that drummer wasn't sure about 7/8 time signature. Seemed so obvious for me 😜
Hello idol.. i really like your lessons.. keep up the good work
Awesome 👍🏼 Really really interesting
The second to last riff shows that without a reference, it’s either triplets or sixteenth notes.
Max is an Amazing drummer!!!
Hey, Makhx here. Thanks Vincent, appreciate it!
Great video,!...also great guitar distortion sound!..what plugin is it ? and what drum samples do you using on this ?..it sounding very dynamic and realistic! thnx 🙏👍
Makhx is such a pro and he also seems like a very nice guy, quite humble too.
Your running was just as good
These guys are literally GODS🤘🏾
He said he is not a great drummer and proceeded to do a blast beat along with a very complicated fill and difficult advanced double kick😭😂
Superb!
thank you so much , it worked 🙂
Amazing!
Amazing
Ha ha ha really I'm enjoying this much. Wow really very good and so much drumer experience can I listen here. Another thing; Bernth you sounds like Insomnium, first; death and heavy, and then you're a Insomnium guitarist, amazing. 🙂🤘 greeting.
Is riff 2 there in any of your songs??? Really loved it!
Very interesting vid 🤯
Nice, still then just one big suggestion, please make the video alil longer by adding more discussions and play throughs. 😁
Imma need you to do a full song with that 2nd riff please
I swear if you didn’t use all of them guitar riffs for songs I’m definitely disappointed if you didn’t but other than that fucking awesome man
I'm not a real instrument player, just a chord warrior. But this video is really awesome and very original. Thumbs up
Haha! I'm ALREADY subscribed!
8:34 Nooo
Nice video B
Started learning "Lonely Day" by System of a Down last night. Have the
instrument rhythm section completed first draft. Played over a drum track my friend recorded for me. Will add in lead guitar
and vocals later. Rough EQ and balancing:
ua-cam.com/video/kTOfB_X3z4k/v-deo.html
I disagree with example #2's preference.
No disrespect to this amazing drummer, but the drum fill de-emphasizes the guitar riff.
...I may just be hearing this from a 40 year bass playing perspective.
This was a *great* video for those of us attempting to cut our own drum tracks.
Very cool
I Respect and kinda agree with ur opinion man
It was really interesting, even though I know next to nothing about the music
Could you make a video on one note per string alternate picking its giving me hella trouble
Makhx is a sick drummer
A deals a deal, subscribed
These two guys are as bad azz as musicians can get. This was amazing skills displayed. Blows my mind. I don’t want to hurt their sales by saying this. But what they’re doing can’t be taught. Well it can be taught. But still takes lots of skill
How do you find the courses on the patereon? I can;t see it on there
There's an archive near top or you can type whatever your looking for like legato for instance and they will show up. Edit: I think on mobile there is only the search bar
That drummer is pure 🔥
Hey, Makhx here. Thanks so much man!
Metalheads that are humble and kind even in the outside as well as inside🤣
Also the way bernth always degrade himself saying his is very simple.
I want to be that pro :0
Love u Bernth
You're actually a pretty good drummer IMHO.
That’s me dude. I’ve learned bass and drums and piano just so I can make my own songs to play lead to
Ja leckmiamoasch, es sads o fix esterreicha :D
I wouldn't even try to play the drums, I'd just stare at it and be like "what the hell am I lookin' at?!?!"
5:39 = slayer riff? ( Slayer - Threshold )
Dopamine's chord progression sounds identical to Periphery's Marigold chorus chord progression
not saying that that's a bad thing or anything, just thought it sounded cool
I heard 5:38 as 6/8 - is that wrong? Is it really 4/4?
cool
💪🧙♂️🎸 KILLA 🎸🧙♂️
He heard 16th notes so I guess I will keep my word and sub lol!
I couldn’t play the first two but i could play the third lmao. i guess practicing in 7 has paid off.
I just recorded this tonight over the backing track I made for System of A Down's "Lonely Day". This is my version of the guitar solo. Changed some parts for my own style:

Круто! Но, чувак, ты сам делаешь акцент (гитара) в триплете, который путает, и сбивает на 16 группировку. Несколько раз пристально послушал)) Спасибо за отличный контент!
*👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽!!...* 🤗
