In Poland, ASUS TUF Gaming ASUS TUF Gaming A16 R9-HX370 AI/32GB/1TB RTX4060/4070 165Hz AI, video only, 9 hours 40 minutes of battery life, silent mode without eco gpu, which is available.
I will immediately point out that the panel has 408 nits, shines too brightly, at night I use 5-10% brightness which is shocking, too bright screen.
You also did not mention the most important disadvantage, look at these Tufs, they have no keyboard brightness markings, without backlight the keyboard is barely visible, it's mainly about the printout.

14th gen just a rebrand of 13th gen just a rebrand of 12th gen.
The main component to consider is the GPU which unfortunately due to NVIDIA's extreme monopoly decides the price segment of the whole product.
Would choose a 12700H with 4060 any day over a 14900HX with a 4050, even better would be seeing a 4080 paired with an older i7 CPU but such products either don't exist or are in "unattainable" price category.

Hi guys, I’m new to the channel since my MSI GT72 2PE Dominator Pro just died. Yeah, had it since 2014. The GTX880 died leaving me with just the integrated graphics. Jarrod, you do a great work. I’m looking for something that will be with me for at least 5 - 8 years similar to my MSI. This TUF F16 seems a good choice with the i7 and GTX 4060. I’m not a hard core gamer, but enjoy playing some newer, more demanding titles from time to time to unwind and I enjoy working with a powerhouse PC. I know, PS5 might be a cheaper option for gaming, but i hate single use hardware and was raised on PC. Sadly, my GTX880 clunked out just after the BF sales so I’m left with very few sales rn. In Europe, the best i can get this TUF for is 1 200€ on 20% sale. I’d prefer the Lenovo LOQ with similar hardware but there are non in sale right now. Again, Jarrod, thank you for your work and your channel helps me very much.

Sadly, in the country I'm stuck in, any TUF Laptop that has 165Hz or higher display cost MINIMUM SGD2,000+ (approx. USD1,600+) to even exist and purchasable with local warranty service, and this painfully is UNIVERSAL across ALL Brands sold here including Builders as well, with lower end ones either having ONLY 120Hz for non-gaming and 144Hz for gaming ones.
ANY CHEAPER than this is either incomplete pre-owned or certified Export Models ONLY.

I genuinely believe that the AMD gpus should be checked again, with the implementation of AFMF 2, cards like the 7600S, 7700S and 7600mXT could offer other things compared to the 4050 and 4060.
Even the 6800m of years ago feels like a great alternative against the Nvidia competition, the only downside of these is the lack of presence in the market and an older cpu, but I could guess that the price could justify it?

Asus Tuf owners are reporting these problems and they're saying it's quite common for Asus Tuf to have these problems. I'm concerned about these issues on Asus Tuf. What do you think about these issues?

I have a 2020 A15 TUF laptop. The cooling of it sucks because of the chassis and the screen is low quality.
Then I bought the 2022 A15 version with a very good 2560 x 1440p, 144 Hz monitor, but the chassis was even weaker and one day, after having owned it for 4 months, writing on it the laptop short circuited and died.
    Never ASUS again!

Hey Jarrod, can I ask how you test for backlight bleed? Do you max out the brightness then take a picture in the dark? I am really curious because I am kind of worried about the backlight bleed on my acer helios neo 16 although I don't really notice it unless the screen is displaying black colors.

Jarrod giving that the DLSS 3 and the other DLSS goodies are getting better, and giving that I wouldn't mind compromising using DLSS 3, FSR etc. too much anymore in case the drop in quality is not that significant compared to the native, is it better to go TODAY for a gaming laptop with rtx 3070ti card, or for rtx 4060? What about 4070 (even though from what i understood rtx 4070 laptop doesn't make a huge difference compared to the 4060)? My goal would be to game at 1440p range without stutters at at least (or above) 55-60fps avg, any of these tripple a games you are presenting here at high+ or highest max graphics settings. What's your opinion?

So many OEMs give their gaming laptops terrible screens because they just assume they're going to be hooked up to much better desktop monitors for most of their life.
OLED or 450 to 500Nit LCDs are the only acceptable screens, IMO.

Sadly the screen problem is real (1920x1200 ) and unacceptable ! Bought it few days ago and had also a problem with the screen flickering randomly ! I tried everything by updating all drivers but nothing helped. Found that if i used the Nvidia graphics the problem dissapeared but the battery was drained fast ..So whats the point of integrated graphics then if you cannot use ithem properly without the screen flickering..? So i returned it.. Its really sad that a laptop of that price range(bought it in EU for 1600E ) doesnt have a proper working screen.. Also the brightness wasnt enough ... So i'm searching for an alternative with 2560x1600 screen now ..

@@Alacachoo You don't have to use cooling pad on any laptops. You can easily reduce the temperature by lifting the back of your laptop up. My take is Intel have said it's not an issue for laptops. Even if you don't believe them, 13th gen HX is more than 18 months old and I haven't heard about them dying, so I tend to believe them. I mean, it would be silly if there is an issue for them and they put microcode updates out for desktop and not laptop, that doesn't make sense to me.
