DO NOT allow sharing on public networks. If it's your home or business network, designate it as a private network and only share your files there. Outside of those locations, use nearby sharing or a flash drive to share directly with the recipient. Or connect both to your phone's mobile hotspot. The hotspot isn't always plug and play and some advanced settings may need to be changed to allow the 2 computers to see each other like on a private network through a typical router.
