really hope EndingWalker stays motivated enough to compete next year. Getting his character nerfed right before his big qualifying tournament would tilt me to all hell.
No LCQ??? That’s the WORST choice capcom could have made. The LCQ is one of the coolest tournaments ever because it’s like the best of the best champions fighting in a blood bath to see who can get the last spot of the cup. I’m so disappointed.
Bruh, any last tournament can basically be considered the LCQ. This tournament was insanely stacked as well. Last year it was called LCQ, this year it just had a name. But any tournament with a last time to qualify is an LCQ lol.
@@drmalfunction1349 Well I don't know much because I saw it in reddit but apparently some FGC content creator was scammed by people saying they are sponsors? Brian's face was in the reddit post too so I assume he was also affected. I read some of it but too lazy to read it all.
It isn't normally something i give any thought to but so many people have mentioned it and with all the uncharacteristic drops on basic combos I think its worth mentioning what everyone was saying about the setups at this event, apparently they were some of the worst/laggy ones a lot of the players had experienced, a real shame. I feel bad for them if its true.l
Holy crap Brian you really did stream the tourney and then made the recap on the same day My dude is going hard on the content grind, I appreciate it also RiP LCQ :,(
Lets please remember that this tournament was run on a PS5 which had gigantic lag problems and makes it visible through the gameplay. Endingwalker tweeted bout it and so did punk
The amount of incredible beans on toast discourse that went on in your stream a couple days ago because of this being held in the UK was a sight to behold
Thanks for puttiing up a recap video so quickly! I only caught a few parts of the tourney; having it all be condensed here, so quickly after the tournament is very helpful! Youre doing a great service to all of us.
Love the tournament breakdown content btw, Brian. Sometimes I simply don't have the time myself to watch all these matches, so I appreciate this edited breakdown format for the ones I miss out on.
An LCQ this year with Capcom Cup in Japan would have been amazing. Considering how popular the game is there, it would have been 7-8k entrants for LCQ including internationals. Would have probably taken 3 days to complete but would have been a great watch. Not sure why they didn't want LCQ this year, but they had announced that fact right at the beginning when they announced another million was up for grabs. Also I am praying whoever is running Capcom Cup in Japan this year is not the same group that ran the Japan Super Premier because they really botched that tournament broadcast. It was so bad, the Japanese audience flooded their channel with criticism.
With your guides, entertaining videos, podcasts and the competitive scene news and breakdown, you have become and invaluable contribution to the Street Fighter community. Thank you!
it is funny how I watched the first day pool and few early matches are basically players trying to make their name up there then the commentator saying "There is Punk, MenaRD and others", without knowing the participants yet right away I just thought this is straight a pool with sharks and piranhas in it
Fun tournament, but it was also a great example of what you said in your video about the structure of the Capcom Cup qualifiers. Obviously there were plenty of strong players, but it was a weaker field than the average pre-Covid World Tour premiere.
As usual, a great recap. This time I had the chance to watch the Top 8 livestream, but it's always insightful listening to your analysis and commentary
How Brian doesnt have a lucrative commentating gig at this point, I just dont know. But having watched some of Sajams videos on the subject, maybe the YT grind is a better bet!
Non-qualified players who might be 98% of the community are just waiting and chilling or may stop playing not until Capcom cup ended march instead of grinding in excitement to get that last chance in LCQ.
Ps5 can easily run this game. It's the monitors, the settings of the game possibly. Very incompetent display, these things should be sorted out beforehand and some dude should oversee that the players don't mess with it in any way. But of course, that's never going to happen consistently.
His Middle East regional finals got delayed because of the parry bug that Capcom then emergency patched. He will complete on the 21st vs the likes of vWysm and TurkiaABC.
Bigbird qualified through the Middle East World Warrior by points. Angrybird is right behind him in points, so he is the number one seed for the regional finals. They're probably chilling at home, no need to spend money to travel and face these killers when they have the simplier path.
Congratulations on fighting game streamer of the year. Knew you had it in you Sajam!
Best fighting game streamer was Sajam what u on 'bout
but i wish it was Brian_f
@@Reachmadness the joke is that Sajam, Brian F and Diaphone look pretty similar.

He did seem to be eyeing Ryu up so he may not necessarily be up the creek without a paddle
He should swap to Ryu

that's where Zhen made his debut too, def a wasted opp.
lol the LCQ was more hype than Capcom Cup last year. It’s so crazy that they have the most popular fighting game and keep making the worst decisions.
@@Ivana_Jirkmenov bruh the game is well balanced, lots of people are playing, online is great, and capcom keeps fumbling the tournaments what the heck

I was thinking this. lol This tournament had everything OP described. Did we love LCQ for its high stakes, or the title?
you scared the shit out of me man
I really thought this was about the scam fiasco.

It isn't true it's just Americans being sore losers as per usual, they dropped combos because of nerves

I mean to be fair like we had to know. There was just no way they put American Heinz beans on toast.
@Kivu_raw_nuruodo Learning American heinz beans are sweet suddenly made all the outrage make sense, kinda want to try them now

20 Billion more Kens to Capcom Cup
When will he be nerfed they sure nerfed akuma real quick so once again he is the best shoto again i am tired of seeing ken.
@brandonrice1124 They'd never nerf Golden boy. He's too popular.
Dang, I really wanted to see Endingwalker in Capcom Cup.
It’s like angrybird said “You only think these players are [weak] because you don’t see them travel a lot.”
3:08 the casual beef w broski lmao
I'm glad a Ken its finaly in Capcom Cup for the first time in Street fighter 6
Me when 480p is max quality

Great coverage, especially since all matches aren't recorded! 👍
Nothing like drinking 2-3 beers watching a new Brian F video
Quality recap on the SAME DAY as the tournament? You are insane dude, keep it up, but please get some rest
What capcom did to Ed right before the cpt is criminal. Endingwalker really deserved to be in capcom cup this year with such a strong performance
I think endingwalker may have been playing with a different than usual controller. Very odd to see jump mistakes on wake up .
January and February are gonna be loooooong. Thanks for the coverage!
Brian's google chrome organized tabs is more satisfactory than Manon 5 medals CA
I knew it would be a ken player that would win with akuma being nerfed it leaves ken a big playground.
EndingWalker shouldnt have skipped the 4th world warrior to go to japan
Keep up the great work, love watching these recap tourney!!
This click bait title was a double perfect, S tier

My greatest joy as a Dhalsim player is seeing people make the exact same mistake that Moke did.

Thanks Brian, great recap.
Capcom really messed up releasing the patch a week before the lcq. Endingwalker just didn't look like himself
Mena shouldve picked gief against dcq idk why he didnt
Brian F should be streamer of the year
No LCQ is the stupidest thing ever, that was such pre cup event. So many great players won’t be in the cup
scary title...
Was really rooting for DCQ, that's gotta be rough
Very happy, you mentioned the beans on toast. This is key.. 😂 always remember
No way punk flew all the way to London to eliminate problem x
Broski looking more different than usual
Look at all those tabs boys 🤌
Dam Brian, click bait?, really?
