I've got an awesome email from Sajam giving me his tips to getting big in content creation, I'm just downloading this pdf and signing it via docusign now!
A couple years ago. I remember asking Sajam whats the best way to grow my local fgc as it was dying in my small country of Barbados. Took his advice and grew from there. Now my country has its first QA company, sent our first esports athletes with the national team, a yearly Major... All from the simple advice he gave. He may not remember but im forever thankful for that msg in stream chat
@@herlockburger7821 The problem my country faced was most of the players werte getting old and life happens We couldnt get young people into competive games. Fgc or otherwise. He gave a simple format how to first keep the existing players interested. Eventually more players came out because we advertised alot more. We have ways to go but we are growing
this could not be better timing. literally this Saturday i got to run commentary for a SSBU state final(its HS epsorts teams) and i loved doing it way more than I expected! excited to take the next step and im sure this vid will give me some nuggets of wisdom
love the intro!! im used to Gamer Podcasts being a sleepy, unedited discord call with 3 ad reads, way more interested to have the brine scene-setting (this is the first ep im not watching on my phone so its the firs ttime i actually typed a comment. also wanted to counterbalance the memeing)
Something about that Sajam pic after that stint of it being used as a meme template makes him look unreal even though you can see him gaming on any given day
Sajam is why I am here today. Fighting games were a different world until the slams to me, now I watch Brine and BP religiously. Great people all around in the FGC.
This was such a good listen. Really appreciate how much you ask about people's lives and where they were at different points of their career rather than just focusing on tournaments wins and results. Really good episode
The only complaint I have about these excellent interviews is that they are coming out too fast, my podcast feed is terminally backed up with this incredible podcast and I don't have enough time
Hey Brian, it would be interesting if you interview your editor to learn more about stuff going on behind the scenes. It seems to me that he is constantly being brought up not only by you, but also your guests.
interested in seeing the direction of your videos going forward, I always loved your more scripted and produced videos and would like to see more of those instead of less edited stream highlight stuff
"The sports media is not controlled by the sports league." Oh sweet, summer child... Great format for this long-form content! The hook at the beginning is awesome. Lots of terrific insight from Sajam and preparation on your part!
Now that's a good way to do a UA-cam / podcast intro, give me everything I needed to know up front tease me with some interesting stories that'll be coming later in the video
This individual and some other rational and responsible content creators helped shape my mindset and affected my approach at a great many things for the better.
4:40 Weird California lore I learned a few days ago: they don’t re-take your driver’s license picture when you get your license renewed for some reason
On a more serious note though, Sajam's a great inclusion. Having him talk about the blacklist and all of the bullshit that came with it is a great reminder. As much as I'm a fan of Capcom, they do make some godawful decisions from time to time. Japanese companies usually never walk back, so kudos on them for not being stubborn. SF6 is better with Sajam commenting and creating content for.
i cant see what im typing right now buit hopefully it comes out right. really enjoyed this episode with my 2nd and 3rd favortie white fgc content creators (after broski)
Kinda funny Brian brings up Jeremy Mansford to Sajam, since Jeremy Mansford also animated the intros for "The Recipe" which Sajam used to be on and Excellent Adventures
Not to downplay other personalities in the field, but FGC is so lucky to have Justin and Sajam as their representatives. So thoughtful and whelmed guys.
ARCADE MODE REPRESENT idk dude, it's just kinda relaxing to smash some buttons for 15 minutes without the stress of having to worry about disconnects or AFK or hackers or just somebody with such a skill gap over me that I'm gonna get blown up before I even get to enjoy the match, and then they one and done and set me on tilt. Sometimes I just wanna pick Alex and POWAH BAHM for a few minutes and then go to bed.
"I never wanted to be a TO, I just felt it [the slam event] was something the community needed and I could do it." Now if that isn't the most TO shit I have ever heard lol. That's like *the* TO origin story, at least the really good TOs.
I don't really go through my favorite tubers' old videos BUT I did randomly see a 12 year old comment from MacieJay on an August burns red music upload hahah
Mirror match
Highlander: There can be only one.
@@faurynunes I appreciate the frame-1 'mirror match' comment.
between this and the diaphone collab, it's a buffet for Anglo Clone Jutsu fans
lmfao
nah that's godlike
Your summary at the beginning is a huge level up from traditional podcast formats, awesome stuff. Excited to watch!
Dawg u should be on the next episode
Put Phi in the trash talk dumpster!
Yewww nextt??? 🥺
I've got an awesome email from Sajam giving me his tips to getting big in content creation, I'm just downloading this pdf and signing it via docusign now!
Bro 😭
FYI Sàjam only sends .exe files to be signed. so that pdf is probably a scam.
@@DeeTek08 thanks for the heads up! There was an .exe alongside it so we should be all good ^_^
😂
😂
Brilliant self-interview by the GOAT himself, Brojam
Instantly checked comments to see this kind of comment, thanks for delivering 😂👍
Brojam F
I never thought I'd see Maximilian on here. Thanks for the podcast as always Sajam!
Sajam is not only the face of fighting games, he's also the face of Chipotle

What was the advice?
Lock in fr @@herlockburger7821
You may have benefited from his advice, but you've obviously put in the work yourself. Well done dude. Great achievements.

We couldnt get young people into competive games. Fgc or otherwise. He gave a simple format how to first keep the existing players interested.

We have ways to go but we are growing
Ill see if i can find the vid on his channel
this could not be better timing. literally this Saturday i got to run commentary for a SSBU state final(its HS epsorts teams) and i loved doing it way more than I expected! excited to take the next step and im sure this vid will give me some nuggets of wisdom

I feel like I might know which gamers you're describing there 😂
Something about that Sajam pic after that stint of it being used as a meme template makes him look unreal even though you can see him gaming on any given day
I recognize it as the pic for the sajam tattoo
I remember majaS from Guatemala
Sajam is why I am here today. Fighting games were a different world until the slams to me, now I watch Brine and BP religiously. Great people all around in the FGC.
As someone that bought SF6 and got into fighting games because of Sajam Slam I can't imagine how much work he has done for the growth of the community
This is a top-tier Christmas present gentleman. Thank you Brian for putting this together.
I appreciate you two for being thoughtful and positive.
This was such a good listen. Really appreciate how much you ask about people's lives and where they were at different points of their career rather than just focusing on tournaments wins and results. Really good episode
I see Brian is following the Clone Wars route. First Broski and now Sajam.
The only complaint I have about these excellent interviews is that they are coming out too fast, my podcast feed is terminally backed up with this incredible podcast and I don't have enough time
I have no idea how this mfer Brian has the time. Big props for sure.
1:08:22 Incredibly accurate representation of the Scar and Toph commentary dynamic
Agreed, it was divisive but they told a story. It’s actually what I prefer as a viewer and not a player
3 hours of my two favorite FGC personalities, now we’re talking
My two favorite FGC personalities talking for almost 3 hrs!? Let's goooo
2 therapeutic voices of the FGC...great show...great interview 😁😁🇹🇹🇹🇹
Hey Brian, it would be interesting if you interview your editor to learn more about stuff going on behind the scenes. It seems to me that he is constantly being brought up not only by you, but also your guests.
At the end, the talk about artist vs content creator, that really hit me hard. Great episode!
Been waiting for the Jiyuna episode, this is gonna be good
interested in seeing the direction of your videos going forward, I always loved your more scripted and produced videos and would like to see more of those instead of less edited stream highlight stuff
Been looking forward to Sajam appearing in one of these for a bit. This is gonna be good.
My 2 dads ❤
Aww
Great episode with a unique community figure! Would be really dope to see Yipes on one of these 👀
Really appreciate Brian being able to bring on guests promptly after they get big wins
3 mins in the video, and the intro is just awesome... great work Bryan!
"The sports media is not controlled by the sports league." Oh sweet, summer child...
Great format for this long-form content! The hook at the beginning is awesome. Lots of terrific insight from Sajam and preparation on your part!
Been watching this a lot and i have to say this is a breath of fresh air to the podcast space. Good stuff and keep it up!
Then Broski, now Sajam, next monday HAS to be Jiyuna to complete the circle of lookalike jokes. lmao
Diaphone too
Call it Caucasian Talk
Probably the most hyped i've been for a Trash Talk episode, thank you Mr.F
i really love this series in general but especially the player intros at the start giving context for the interview
I respect the fact that even to this day sajam doesn't name the capcom employee that blacklisted him, even though they did him dirty
I must be seeing double!~ Four Sajams!
yay! another episode of my favorite show Trash Talk Tuah!
This episode is a level up from the previous production-wise. Keep them coming
Now that's a good way to do a UA-cam / podcast intro, give me everything I needed to know up front tease me with some interesting stories that'll be coming later in the video
Jiyuna and Diaphone must be the next two to complete the White Four of the FGC.
Some real stalwarts of comedy in this comments section right now.
"This ain't the same guy???"
How do they think of this stuff 😂😂
I mean the joke is years and years old at this point just carrying on the legacy
Do you want a cookie or something, my man?
Thanks man I appreciate the compliment
This individual and some other rational and responsible content creators helped shape my mindset and affected my approach at a great many things for the better.
Brian every single one of these has been so good man, the time just flies by. Awesome work.
4:40 Weird California lore I learned a few days ago: they don’t re-take your driver’s license picture when you get your license renewed for some reason

Brian and sajam fusion introduces Brain_Jam
This might be the first time I've seen Sajam full screen.
Just signed my first contract with sajam ❤❤ thank you for the sponsor big saj
I've been wondering of Sajam's background, this is a great video. One feedback, keep the video with u and him talking in one frame all the time
Really loving the documentary style run down to introduce the guest.
Loving the show Bry!
goat talk

Great interviews, brilliant job. So interesting to listen. Maybe Max next :)
Great collab pair
Great content, dudes!
brian_f and his clone talking to each other!
I'm seeing double! Four Sajams!
Will it talk?
Allllllright, chat.
Amazing introduction, that's how you capture attention!
i love how jiyuna has one picture people use for him
Holy fuck this podcast keeps on giving
The strongest Sajam in history vs the strongest sajam of today
the time stamps are so godlike
So glad they touched on the assassin's creed video lmao
Love the intros to these talks
great stuff as always
Isn't this guy the burrito salesman?
I just woke up
Bobby Scar is the Mike Ross of Melee. We love that guy
So happy for tasty Steve
Brine thinks he's so slick, interviewing himself two episodes in a row
Didn’t know I needed this
Another banger Brian
After the football helmet story, I'm feeling real sorry for Brian's mom
"In ping pong!" had me cackle because its so real 🤣🤣
Legendary crossover right here
Wow, i think this is the first time I've seen these guys on the same screen.
Damn Brian did it again
Now you gotta do yipes
This guy is interviewing himself
When I’m a spider behind Brian_F’s head but I’m just a chill guy
this was the theme for the sf6 beta
My two favorite FGC channels :) you should try to get Mike Ross on next!

technology is so crazy now that brian can interview himself
this is like that one time Slim Shady interviewed Eminem
"I never wanted to be a TO, I just felt it [the slam event] was something the community needed and I could do it." Now if that isn't the most TO shit I have ever heard lol. That's like *the* TO origin story, at least the really good TOs.
OMG ITS SAJAM FROM THE SAJAM SLAM SERIES
Is that Fighting Game Streamer of the Year, Mr. Sajam of Slam Fame?
I don't really go through my favorite tubers' old videos BUT I did randomly see a 12 year old comment from MacieJay on an August burns red music upload hahah
Congrats Sajam for qualifying for Capcom cup
